How would that tracking app deal with a trip with the Yamanote line at rush hour?

It's a brilliant idea and I would be all for it if administered sincerely and honestly. BUT, will it be? Don't bet on it. Such technology in the hands of those who have profit, political or other motives not in the best interests of the people will always be misused.

I always find it very amazing how powerful people, governments and corporations will push thier agendas on us by simply telling us "It's for your good!" while implying that we're bad or stupid for questioning and not following like sheep. Yet, they would NEVER buy a product or service or accept a proposal simply on some saying "It's good!" They would do thier due investigative diligence and require solid proof of concept backed up by. statistics, facts and data.

Would governments and powerful people accept such monitoring of their activities and businesses by us regular citizens?

These people are drunk with power and cannot be trusted.

All I can see is a fantastic way of limiting the spread of this virus. This thing can do serious permanent damage to you if you get sick with it. We have just about got it eliminated. No cases in the NT for 3 weeks. Only about 5 in Queensland in the past week. So far we have not lost a single frontline worker in Australia or New Zealand. Pretty much just elderly people with pre existing conditions. Wanna keep it this way
