It'll be interesting to see whether the British continue to act against their own interests by rejecting this deal.

It’s in the EU socialists’ interest for Britain to accept that terrible deal.

We are heading into the unknown, whether we accept that deal or not. No one likes the deal, leavers hate it because it's not a total cut with the EU and remainers hate it because they want another referendum.

"Britain will head into unknown.."T. May, for your information, Britain headed into unknown with the referendum.

The 'clever' Brexit plan consisted of the known within the unknown. We know we want Brexit now but we don't know how to exit and what will happen to the British economy.

Well, this is where the rubber meets the road and the fantasies end. Reject the WA deal and the EU will walk away and the UK will be up the proverbial creek without a paddle. Accept the WA deal and everybody will claim "this isn't what we voted for" when, of course, it was exactly what they voted for.

A fine mess the UK has put itself in, that's for sure, but the EU will be relieved when this nonsense (and the insults and invective aimed at them) will end.

It's in the Russian's ultra-nationalist, ultra-rightists' interests to weaken the EU to make it easier for Putin to expand the Russian empire.

Bannon and Trump are also anti-EU.

Shouldn't we all be thanking Nigel Farage for this?

This comment makes no sense.

Which socialists -the many, many British left wing voters who voted to leave in the referendum?

And in what way is it terrible, as regards the 6 counties & is the GFA threatened by having a backstop?

Britian can take a second referenum to decide her future relations with the E.U.! But I think the result will be the same!

Do you mean the man who ran off when the surprise vote to Leave happened?

Just like fat Boris, none of them want to own the mess they supported. But own it they do.

A second referendum is clearly needed. And this time letting all of us expats vote.
