Four Lions incompetence, on the part of the bomber. Thank goodness.

Anyone who wants to comprehend how these idiots are seen in the UK, as opposed to hysteria elsewhere, should watch the Chris Morris film.

Four Lions is brilliant and pretty much sums up your average Poundland Jihadi.

Toasted, it is a great film. Hilarious in places but with a serious message at the end. The scene with the mate who accidentally blows himself up and the squat jogs scene made me laugh a lot. Unfortunately though and unlike the film, today's terror cells are a lot more well trained with, regretfully, end results.

Daesh a broken by the looks of things. The attacks are getting particularly pitiful - thankfully.

The weak government of Theresa May is making the most of the hysteria though, probably to take peoples mind of the utter balls up they're making with their brexit insanity....

One wonders when this will end if ever. The problem now, is that such extremism has been implanted into the minds of some within our Countries, and from there it will simply spread regardless to what happens to the Daesh/ISIS state.

What is the best way to deal with this ?

Damage limitation. The security services are overwhelmed and have to prioritise. Increased resources for our security services may save some lives.

A pretty bleak picture but religious violence has been around for millennia. It's not going to disappear any time soon.

Stopping the US and European allies from bombing and starting conflicts with muslim countries would be a good start. Until the west sees the killing of muslim children in the same eyes it sees the killing of western children, there will always be the fuel to fire islamic terrorism.

It is so sad that London continues to be devastated by these attacks. At least the British act like adults when there is a terrorist attack. Our so called president tweets like a frightened child.

The 18-year-old, a recent immigrant into the UK, being cared for by a very very charitable couple has been radicalized and has bitten the hand that has been literally feeding him!

So it looks like the bomber is indeed one of the 'child' refugees that Britain agreed to take in. Police are also looking for a 'woman' wearing a niqab who was seen carrying the Lidl bag on CCTV, but they aren't sure if it was actually a man dressed up as a woman.

"Stopping the US and European allies from bombing and starting conflicts with muslim countries..."

What were the Allies "bombing" in the lead-up to 9/11? The vast majority of conflicts in the Muslim world are started by the locals. Westerners get involved in the naive belief they can improve the "humanitarian crises" these civil wars and other regional conflicts generate. Leave it alone, I say. They ain't worth it.

"...but religious violence has been around for millennia."

But basically zero in modern Japan. Just hoping Japan's authorities aren't listening to the ultra-globalists and multi-culty lobby who would change that.

I feel sorry for the poor foster parents, an elderly, respectable couple who have fostered nearly 300 children and received an honour from the Queen for their good work. To have their home, life and reputation tarnished by this scumbag is heartbreaking.

I guess some of our contributors are too young to recall IRA and loyalist terrorists radicalised in the late 60s onwards.

Ordinary kids who struck out and engaged in murder and mayhem.

Terrorism is a tragedy that affects many more than innocent victims.
