Looks like gay black men have the most privilege in the US right now.

As Mayor Emanuel said, "This makes Chicago look foolish."

It sure does make Chicago look foolish and somebody's head should swing for this foul up. And the funny thing about all of this is that even though Smollett has forfeited his $10,000 bail to the city of Chicago and has done 2 weeks of community service, Smollett says, "I'm an innocent man!"

It looks like the prosecutors fouled this one up by letting the 2 Nigerians fellows go free while at the same time arresting Smollett for the crime. All 3 men were involved in the crime and all 3 men should have been tried together.

Trump fans are going around talking about pardons for convicted criminals and the Dems are demanding answers as to how this could have happened with Smollett. Nice to see the difference in how Democrats handle things.

This smells to high heaven, the guy almost caused a race riot, deeply hurt the Black community and now he gets to walk free, they seal 16 felony documents and expunge his record, I’ve never seen anything like it. Glad that the Feds are digging deep into this.

Its very likely Someone in a high place was in danger of being implicated in the smollett scheme if it went to trial. The prosecuter made sure it was not going to happen.

Smollett also agreed to forfeit the $10,000 bond he posted to avoid being held in jail, a sum he otherwise would have gotten back.

In other words, had this been some poor schmo that didn't have $10,000, he would have be prosecuted. It's good to be rich!
