When the choice is between two corrupt, failed political hasbeens any alternative will serve as a protest vote. If the elite don’t listen then the danger is that the protest vote gets elected. They may be politically inept but at least they are clean, and they can even be a success if surrounded by competent people who they listen to.

In the past when the choices offered have been uninspiring I have voted for the Monster Raving Lunatic Party candidate!

Sad when an election becomes a popularity contest for those that hand out the most humor and "dreams."

But reforms crucial to keep foreign aid flowing have been patchy. 

thats all there is to hear about it... i find that insane that this is what Ukraine has been reduced to by the west and USA ..... instead of learning to thrive on their own they aspire to be a better beggar, shameful at the least
