The money spent on elections is obscene to me.

There should be a cap and no ads on private channels.

Hopefully with $6.1 million, he can finally afford to take a position on an issue.

Too bad people are ignoring Pete Buttigieg. I watched his CNN Town Hall. He's like Beto with actual accomplishments, a brain and without the ego.

Actually he likely didn’t raise 6.1 million in one day. I’m sure we would find later that he counted the millions of money left over from losing to Ted Cruz.

But because liberal media pushing him I doubt this will ever be corrected.

Beto could potentially surpass Bernie in collecting campaign donations. But, in a similar vein in which he wrote as a teenager, the money, the nomination and the WT are his by right:

"They were happy, happy to be free from their troubles ...This happiness was mine by right. I had earned it in my dreams."

I'd take Beto over the fascists any day of the week.

Empty speculation.

Stick with reality please.

Given how Trump supporters have accepted each of his long list of ‘indiscretions’ including being an amoral, serial philanderer, liar, business swindler, nepotist, a person who seeks favors from rival foreign powers, a person who cares jack for 99.9% of the US population, I have no doubt Trump supporters will accept and ignore each of the ‘indiscretions’ O’Rourke or any other of Trump’s political opponents will be found to have. Real or alt fact.

Am I right?

How do you know? Do you work for Beto's campaign team?

He'd be a good congressman in either house, but he's not suitable for the presidency and his candidacy will likely go nowhere once voters more deeply consider the candidates.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

It's the Beto juggernaut! It's gonna be no experience necessary Obama 2! Trump is toast!

He'd be a good congressman in either house,

What makes you say that, Laguna?

but he's not suitable for the presidency

What makes you say that, Laguna?

and his candidacy will likely go nowhere once voters more deeply consider the candidates.

So voters didn't deeply consider the candidates in 2016? I mean outside California, lol.

Now you know full well it won’t, why would they? That would be correcting an error, that’s not their job.

C'mon he only raised $25 million after 20 hours and then suddenly it's "raises $6.1 mil in first 24 hours". (exactly .1 million more than Sanders too).

It's possible but it's from FAR fewer people than donated to Sanders - like 2 or 3 - wealthy relatives probably.

Beto would make a good frat house president. That's it.

Uh oh.

Tucker Carlson can't fact check, since he doesn't like facts.

He's also a racist, sexist white nationalist. But go ahead and hitch your horse to that wagon.

The Reuters story about Bobby O'Rourke's published fantasy about running over kids in a car proves that fools any their money are soon parted.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

I's take P.J O'Rourke over Beto O'Rourke any day.  Agree the amounts raised and spent are obscene.  In this case likely to all go to waste.

Nothing wrong with being white ( people can't help if they're born white ) or being a nationalist ( someone who loves their country ). Otherwise your post is totally inaccurate. You refuse to acknowledge the facts stated in that interview.

There are people called "bundlers" who get rich people to make the maximum donation.

Robert ORourke has one

It is bad to be a white nationalist. Which Carlson is. He's endorsed by the Daily Stormer, a Nazi website. I'll remind readers that you have previously regularly linked to YouTube videos by Styxemhammer666(sp?), an actual Nazi. You have been taken in by racists and bigots. But it's okay. You can leave them. It's not too late to become a better person. We will help you. We want to help you. But you have to want it first.

I don't acknowledge the "facts" in his video because there aren't any.

You aren't trying to pretend that this is not a bipartisan problem that plagues both parties are you?

What are the demographics of Republican donors?

Now that's living in denial. Tell me Sneezy, what did Tucker or Daniel Turner say that isn't true?

He seems high 24/7. He makes Justin Trudeau look like the Marlboro man. Can you imagine this guy dealing with China and Russia and North Korea? Oh my...

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Beto has fantasys about murdering children. All the money in the world wont change that.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Anonymous, I concur, The guy is creepy.

I'd take Beto over the fascists any day of the week.

Who are the fascists, SuperLib? Names, please.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

I'd take Beto over the fascists any day of the week.

Who wouldn’t? But how do you know that Robert Francis isn’t himself a fascist? Dems still need to find someone who can beat Trump. Sure he looks a little like Bobby Kennedy but I’ve yet to hear him say anything specific (though admittedly it’s early).
