Asked if Trump had suggested that Pence stay at the property, the vice president's chief of staff, Marc Short, told journalists, "I think that it was a suggestion."

Uh huh, suggestion. The most corrupt president in history and still, the Republicans don't have a problem with this. Could you imagine if President Obama.....ah, forget it.

Well as long as the American Tax payers are happy filling Trump's pockets, however unethical or criminal it may be, it should be fine I guess.

They are anyhow funding Trump's Gold weekends and sometimes weekdays at his resorts.

After all the public is there to serve the President, not the other way round.

Democrats slam Pence.....

What's this? Democrats complaining about Pence/Trump/Republicans/conservatives? It doesn't matter what the subject matter is, you can always count Democrat's whining about it.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

It doesn't matter what the subject matter is

If you pay attention the subject matter is Pence spending Tax Payer dollars to stay in a Trump resort.

Not to mention traveling 300 kms across Ireland to do so, again at the Tax Payers expense.

Otherwise it sounds like Trumplets jumping to his defense without understanding what it's about.

Trumps stealing as much as he can before we throw him out on his ass. Still, the real crime: it's all legal. All the grift. All the bribery. All the corruption. Trumps just flagrant. 'Cause he can be. 'Cause it's legal.

"Cause he rich just had the politicians make it all legal.

The only way out of this morass is publicly financed elections. We can never get money out of politics, but we can at least try to contain the rot.

The democrats are correct.

They should propose updates to the anti-nepotism laws to prevent any personal gain by someone holding elected Federal office through US purchases, unless those deals are reviewed and generate both convenience AND cost savings for taxpayers.

If the Trump property was the only 5-star hotel within 2 miles of the meeting location, then it would make sense, but that isn't the situation.

Trump scams and plays his supporters and they are too blind to even see it....

Says the US is under invasion by illegal immigrants yet employs cheap illegal immigrant labor at his properties...

Says China is an unfair trader, takes US jobs, and US companies should leave China, yet he and Ivanka have their clothing and shoe lines made Chinese sweatshop factories...

Says he's completely separated from his businesses yet says the the next G7 should be at a Trump property and makes Pence stay at one also...

If you want a good laugh just watch the next Trump rally where he is ranting about China stealing our jobs and waging economic warfare - while he is wearing a Trump tie and the crowd waving Trump 2020 banners - all made in China...

Corrupt businessman, corrupt politician. Leopards and spots.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

I guess the Democrats are bored once again, the Hurricane took them off the news for a minute. Lol

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

Personally, I find Pence's suggestion that "Ireland and the EU should negotiate in good faith with Prime Minister Johnson and work to reach an agreement that respects the UK's sovereignty" a bit of an insult.

Saying that whilst in Ireland. Absolutely clueless.

And do you think it was the right thing to do, leave Dublin for Doonbeg?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Trumps stealing as much as he can before we throw him out on his ass.

Stealing what and can Democrats be patient until 2024? Somehow I doubt it.

Still, the real crime: it's all legal. All the grift. All the bribery. All the corruption. Trumps just flagrant. 'Cause he can be. 'Cause it's legal.

Ok, so once again liberals have nothing but emotion to support their baseless anger.

"Cause he rich just had the politicians make it all legal.

The only way out of this morass is publicly financed elections. We can never get money out of politics, but we can at least try to contain the rot.

First the Democrats need to have a message first which they don’t have, then they need to put up a candidate that gets the party really excited, they don’t have one yet. Funny, how when Michelle Obama and her husband took two Air Force One to go to the same location, he on business and she for shopping and the liberal media outrage....null. Oh, the stench of hypocrisy. Lol

What a bunch of weak whiners who have to to write about such insignificant crap just to please the knee-jerk crowd.

US tax payers fund Pence's trip. Do you think it was sensible and not at all dubious for him to stay on the other side of Ireland instead of Dublin?

He could have stayed at any one of the numerous hotels in the city centre and be 5 minutes away from govt buildings or Áras an Uachtaráin.

If you write it, they will come.

Democrats don't write the news

Now that’s comedy gold. After two years of solid fake news about Russia and the election.

Now that’s comedy gold. After two years of solid fake news about Russia and the election.

The Mueller report shows multiple meetings between Trump's team and Russia. It shows the Russians meddled in the election. It put multiple Trump associates in jail for issues arising from the Russians. And you, the guy who goes on and on about Tower Seven, want us to believe it's "solid fake news about Russia and the election".

Tell us more about Tower Seven to give us context for your beliefs please. People should see what other things you believe when listening to the things you are telling them to believe.

nothing but emotion to support their baseless anger.

What do you think about the president making a profit off of taxpayers?

What do you think about the president suggesting his vice travel 300 miles to stay at his property?

I don’t care what your opinions of Democrats or liberals are.

I would have loved to see Pences face as he had to meet the openly gay Taoiseach if Ireland.

Maybe that's why he stayed so far away from Dublin. Might have been afraid to dine alone with him just in case he tried it on...

I wish the Democrats would slam themselves for doing such a piss-poor job for the people.

They're just mad because they don't own any hotels in Ireland.

California Democratic Congressman Ted Lieu accused Pence in a post on Twitter of "funneling taxpayer money" to Trump by staying at the hotel.

Oh good grief. One of the many Democrat jerks who need to be voted out.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

What do you think about the president making a profit off of taxpayers?

What do you think about Democrats making profit off entitlements?

What do you think about the president suggesting his vice travel 300 miles to stay at his property?

And his property, nothing

I don’t care what your opinions of Democrats or liberals are

Right back at you. Lol

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

can you prove it. Show me where the taxpayer foot the bill.

Someone didn't read the article:

Pence's stay was paid for by U.S. taxpayers, Short said

Short is Pence's chief-of-staff. for the utterly uninformed.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

What do you think about Democrats making profit off entitlements?

Random thoughts without meaning, ROFL!!!

And his property, nothing

So Donny's failing properties are being propped up with taxpayer money and Trumplets find nothing wrong with it, hilarious.

What will happen after 2020 when Donny's been kicked out, will Putin send in the checks?

Oh wait, Donny will be in Russia along with Moscow Mitch.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Trump's gonna need to the money for legal defense bills once tossed out of office next year. Ironically, what he's doing to raise those funds also raise the bill.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

The cost of Trump’s trips to his Mar-a-Lago is more than $100 million.

You assume, but you wouldn’t know for sure.

Random thoughts without meaning, ROFL!!!

So is the life of Democrats...

So Donny's failing properties are being propped up with taxpayer money and Trumplets find nothing wrong with it, hilarious.

So that’s the new conspiracy theory liberals are running with? Inventive....

What will happen after 2020 when Donny's been kicked out, will Putin send in the checks?

But that won’t happen, Democrats need a strong, smart and a likable candidate...or to put it more, they need to appeal and excite minority voters and that hasn’t happened, but there's 2024.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Trump's golf outings have cost taxpayers more than $100 million

Using figures from the Government Accountability Office,

Seems like another One was more deceptive and less transparent.

Liberals really need to stop with this garbage.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Which liberals need to stop what?

Rhetorical question? Lol

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

Rhetorical question? Lol

Can you answer ANY question pertaining to Pence in Ireland, or is it all going to be about liberals?

By telling Ireland to respect the sovereignty of the UK and the Brexiteers, he's basically accused Ireland and the EU of negotiating in bad faith with the UK. After claiming that the GFA is so important to the US.

Perhaps the Dail should reconsider its position on use of Shannon?

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

So is the life of Democrats...

We are talking about the posts on this forum, care to explain.

I would say not, Random thoughts LOL.

So that’s the new conspiracy theory liberals are running with?

You mean like this..

What do you think about Democrats making profit off entitlements?

Dont think its inventive though, no facts.

Democrats need a strong, smart and a likable candidate

Since the republicans have none of the above, I think the dems should be fine.

What the republicans have today is a racist, corrupt, lying candidate well into dementia.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

And back in reality with a transparent Obama administration, we can clearly see Trump wasting hundreds of millions more in taxpayers money on golf, even though he criticized Obama for golfing.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Laguna,

For better or for worse, and in this case it's certainly for the worse, we have in the US a long and honorable tradition of leaving ex-Presidents alone once they leave office. No matter what dirty deeds they did.

Part of that deal is they keep their nose clean and out of things.

Trump, of course, will not honor that tradition. Because Trump loves the attention. Because Trump can continue con the rubes by screeching and preening.

If he sticks to fleecing the rubes, like Sarah Palin did, then he will be left alone. If he insists on butting in on the political system, the Republicans, who want their party back, will unleash the hounds of war on his orange @ss,

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Just wait until next year when Trump becomes the most expensive ex-president.

Don’t worry you’ll have a president after Trump that will be even more expensive. Inflation does that.

It was Trump himself who said he wouldn't have time for golf.

Ok.

The costs of protecting the ex-president Obama don't go into the Obama family business unlike in the case of Trump.

It doesn’t matter, it’s an expense still that burdens the tax payer, on your point, be consistent

Much of the money is going into Trump family business. That should be a major concern for all.

The money that is going out of my pocket paying for the Obamas, I and other Americans will never see again. You’re not making any brownie points here.
