He is a civil servant, not a Presidential appointee and thus protected from reprisal. It would be impossible for a President to fire him as long as he is speaking the truth. The whole idea of a non-partisan civil service is to prevent the creation of a corrupt patronage army and to assure that the public service is not used to reward one group favorable to a political majority and punish those who oppose the political majority. The civil service is supposed to work for all Americans regardless of their politics.

Well, the economy collapsed due to China and the shutdown and a lockdown that the Democrats insisted on keeping it at least until the end of November to hurt the President and the people as much as they possibly can. IF the Democrats care about people, why is the liberal media ignoring Cuomo putting elderly people in nursing homes to die? But they're old, insignificant and who cares, they'll be gone sooner or later, so it's easier for Dems to blame the President over something that the President was against from the start even though he didn't want people to panic and justifiably so. Democrats have zero idea of how to even get the country financially back on track.

@Ah_so: yes it is quite true many Americans refuse to wear a mask for whatever reason. I wear one myself as I want others who are around me to wear one to reduce (not eliminate) the risk of transmission via respirable vapors. On the other hand aa few months ago the University of Chicago found a mutation in the U.S. which allowed the virus to spread more easily. Interestingly enough using the real metric (deaths per capita) the order is as follows:

Asian countries which tend to be more densely populated and have more people using public transportation do not make the top 10. I believe the use of masks are part of the reason for this.

The thing is that Fauci himself does not follow (does not believe in) the safety rules. Recall when he sat in an empty baseball stadium sadwiched tightly between two people without a mask... They could have so easily allow one or two seats between them.

But if you look at the death per capital by state, the picture is completely different; You have a couple of states that are through the roof (New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut), but most other states have very low rates. Without the above cluster of high-death states, the US average is very low, closer to that of Germany. Statistics....

Yeah, selective quoting is a wonderful thing. Why is it so difficult to go the Wayback machine and check the context in which various statements were made? Instead of picking statements from half a year ago and putting them into current context, as the TV talking heads constantly do.
