With the new school year fast approaching, some U.S. districts have announced plans to reopen for students who want to attend in-person class, while others will offer only online instruction or a mix of classroom and remote learning.

From what I've read, one of the worst place you can be is packed into a small, poorly ventilated room, for six hours with 35 other people. A place like a grade school classroom.

But it is even worse to be packed into six poorly ventilated rooms, with one hour in each, with 200 different people, over the course of a six hour day. As is the case in a high school or college. And hour in a tight room with an infected person is enough to expose you. And the shuffling of students for different classes makes an infected person more probable.

Should be left to parents!

children may not be at serious risk from the virus, they can in fact end the lives of their grandparents.

Is Fauci going to reimburse the parents who have to give up their jobs if their kids' schools remain closed?

Top infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci on Tuesday said decisions on whether to open schools in U.S. regions hit hard by the fast-spreading coronavirus outbreak should be left to local officials.

"We should try, as the default, to get the kids to stay in school," Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said at an event hosted by Georgetown University.

Should Fauci be considered a top infectious disease expert? How many false claims/mistakes can a top infectious disease expert make before the media stops identifying them as a top infectious disease expert? Don't wear a mask, wear a mask, don't go to school, go to school, test everyone, no need to test everyone, do what's best for China, think for yourself, do what you're told, etc..

Did he say the virus was "contained"?

Did he say it was just "one person from China"?

Did he say it was all a "hoax"?

Did he say "inject disinfectant"?

Did he say wearing a mask was "Anti-American"?

What's so interesting about Trump's attempt to disparage Dr Fauci is that he hasn't the courage or guts to do it himself.

He has his cronies and other anonymous sources spread fake dirt - while he hides..

True to form - he runs away from his duty to serve his country, he cuts and runs in Syria abandoning an ally, and he hides in a bunker when a couple of elderly protesters show up...

Hey Mr Tough Guy, why don't you say your criticisms of the Dr to his face?

Because you're a coward...

Agreed. Schools shouldn't listen one iota to the nonsense streaming out of that fool's mouth in the Oval Office.
