The world would be a far better place if there were a mandatory retirement age of 65 for all politicians.

Young US 'leftists' are listening to a 77 yr old politician as they see hime as the 'new hope' :)

My impression is that if he is resorting to hiring Giuliani, Trump is both desperate and delusional. Why would one crazy narcissist hire another crazy narcissist?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

why so young?

Generally speaking, old people are set in their ways and refuse to even listen to arguments that run against their opinions/experiences.

'Generally speaking' based on what knowledge?

'Generally speaking' it's often the case that 'younger' people are biased about 'older' people because of a disturbed child/parent relationship :)

Just a short term position to prop up the pension.

Yeah, Giuliani civilized NYC all by himself. It has nothing to do with the criminals aging out of criminality.

Love how "[getting] rid of the homeless" is to be praised instead of helping the homeless get back in their feet. Very compassionate.

This:

> I don’t do the race card, sorry. I could care less what you are, I only care about conduct and how you treat people.

followed by this:

The left

is too funny in its contradictory nature.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

ah, the nervous “lol”.

No, Giuliani is on the Trump team, quite the opposite, stoked would be a better expression.

Maybe because not only have you been proven dead wrong a dozen times on this post alone,

Really?? News to me, for example?

but because you know your race card comment makes ZERO sense given that I’m pointing out Giuliani’s bigotry when dealing with “non-Americans”

I don’t do the race card, sorry. I could care less what you are, I only care about conduct and how you treat people. The left make race their narrative from sun up to sunset because they know once you play the race card, the argument comes to a roadblock.

Rudy is an idiot who boasted of insider information from the FBI.

Innocent people don’t worry their “lawyers” are going to ‘flip’ on them.

To sum up my POV on both #FakePres & #911Rudy - please google “Trump motorboats world’s ugliest Drag Queen” …

22% doesn’t beat 27% unless you spoil 6 million ballots like 12 Red states did. I’d love to see every corrupt GOP Legislator tried for their open treason and punished with GITMO. Happy my congressman and senators didn’t take Russian blood money laundered by the NRA.

Comey’s memos look consistent. Most see in them what they want.
2 ( +2 / -0 )

Giuliani, the geriatric bigot who forgets his relatives once came in on a boat, too.

Ahhh, the “race card” attacks again? Lol

He's seen his time come and go and is desperate to try and remain relevant.

Well, that time has finally come.

Will be fun to see how quickly he shrugs out once dirt on him comes out, and it'll come out quick. We're talking about a guy who used tax-payer's money give her a police escort and city car to drive around personally, and paid all her travel expenses through shill companies he made up. Sounds like the man for Trump indeed.

A man who civilized NYC, a man who fearlessly went after the mob, a man who fired half of his police force because they were so corrupt, a man who got rid of the homeless, a man who brought the murder rate down from almost 2000 a month to few hundred. So yes, a great man. Trump is really lucky to have him on his side. LA could really use Giuliani to clean that State up as well.

Maybe he can try to hire Cohen, too!

An attempt at Liberal humor??

Interesting 'debat' going on here between 'liberals' and 'conservatives' or if you wish democrats and republicans. From the continental European perspective there's not that much difference between the 2 major American parties. When American 'interests' are at stake the outcome concerning foreign policy or use of arms is more or less the same.

In the American political arena only someone as Bernie Sanders could be seen as 'leftist'.

I've always seen the embracement of Obama [and earlier Mandela] by European leftists as tokenism by a predominant white group. Obama's initiative for an Affordable Care Act was probably seen as something leftist, but besides this Act he didn't accomplish anything that could be seen as a 'progressive' change.

Interesting is also a Trump supporting movement with leaders who've been showing special interest in Japanese culture. A front man is known for speaking Japanese fluently. Another one was known for his interest in Asian women during a former life.

No doubt that some posters here are familiar with them, know them personally or even endorse the movement :)

I haven't heard or seen any evidence of Mueller being dirty or corrupt.

Some people said that about Hoover. Did you think Ken Starr was corrupt?

I've heard a lot of speculation from Trump's fan base, but that's not really surprising. I haven't seen or read anything credible to support their position.

When you are apart of the old order establishment an you a trying in vain to unseat a sitting President in a political witch hunt with 22 Democratic lawyers and one of them was your rivals personal water in a financial criminal scheme and not a single Republican it is beyond obvious there is clear political partisan bias going on.

Well I think they are keeping both sides open. If Mueller doesn’t recommend anything against Trump they they will say it was a good investigation and we can trust his findings. If Meuller does recommend charges against Trump then they will say he is biased and corrupt.

I don’t think they will say anything but good, it’s over, now let this administration do what it was elected to do and put the shenanigans aside, the bigger question is, will the left give up their inner ego, self-centered obsession that the President had anything to do with some looney theory that he was involved in some sort of collusion with the Russians or was some sort of agent working on their behalf. Mueller doesn’t recommend anything on Trump because he doesn’t have anything.

The bridge in the meantime is, “He wants to pin something on Trump but he just can’t.” Maybe Mueller is corrupt but I guess he’s just not very good at being corrupt? Or something like that

As corrupt as this witch hunt is, now that Giuliani is on Trump’s defense team, this is really throwing a monkey wrench into Mueller’s cogs. Hiring him would be like hiring Johnny Cochran it doesn’t get much better. At least he can push to negotiate a deal to end this stupid witch hunt and allow the country to move forward.

oh if Mueller’s squad were dirty we would have heard something? Heard something like strzok and page were actually removed from the team for being dirty!? Something like that?? Or that the main guy went to Hillary’s “victory” party but is unbiased?

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

It’s a paid witch hunt with an unlimited budget and no requirement to report progress, just keep getting paid. That’s the best witch hunt I could ever imagine!

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

No because with Mueller and his merry men making 1 million dollars a month, I’m sure they will stretch it until as far as possible. Just because the investigation is done doesn’t mean they are done trying to get paid.

They will spend at least 3 months writing the “final report” of nothing plus they need to drop charges against Flynn so I’m down for 31 August. But this is “done” as of today.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Ummm . . . We already knew the Cohen thing had nothing to do with Trump. Thanks for the news flash.

You guys keep forgetting, just making sure.

100 million Trump supporters? Riiight? Love how cons know everything but challenge others on how the others know things.

Just like w(en you guys said, No one in California would support Trump or his policies....well, 9 counties later..

You conservatives are too easy to slap around with facts and logic.

Translation, the left is backed once again into a corner.

Trump's lawyers being dirty, which is highly unlikely, is completely unconnected to Mueller and his team.

Actually, it’s the same, fight fire with fire. Dirt and sleaze against dirt and sleaze, to catch a sleaze, you need a sleaze, seems fair and logical to me

-7 ( +0 / -7 )

Black and Bass: If Giuliani hasn't "straightened this out" in a month like you guys are proclaiming, will you be quiet until Mueller concludes his investigation?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Not this liberal.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Oh did you? Because the other day liberals were saying Trump was going to prison for what was supposedly found in the raid of his lawyer.

Rosenstein already said the Cohen thing has nothing to do with Trump.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Yep the hubris and arrogance and sanctimony ot Comey blew the whole plan. Now he will have to testify against McCabe before he himself gets indicted.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

This comment demonstrate in a crystal clear manner that certain conservatives belief some people are above the law. Why do conservatives disdain the American judicial system so much?

Hmmm......wish they felt that way towards liberals, Democrats...sad, sad, sad....

Trying to interpret the insanities of the paid Trump supporters is a waste of time IMO. They haven't an honest bone in them.

You know all 100 Million of us? Oh, do tell me where you find the time to have in-depth conversations to know and understand how each and every single Trump think or feels?

Astounding!

Cohen is the next big panic for them. He's about to get charged with serious crimes.

That’s Cohen, so what, Trump will just pardon him. Democrats and Mueller at that point would Just pound sand.

Will he flip on Trump to save his own sleazy hide or will he practice omerta?

My money is on the latter. The lawyers must be rubbing their dirty hands together, Giulliani included.

More than likely it doesn’t have anything to do with Trump. If Trump’s lawyers are dirty, than Mueller and his minions of democratic elves are the true epitome of what true sleaziness is.

Blacklabel: Mueller. He has no evidence on Trump so there is no opportunity for him to twist things. Comey ruined his obstruction of justice back up plan so that’s pretty much it.

I don’t understand. Mueller is corrupt and going after Trump but he will be honest if there is no info to be found? And he and Comey are working as a team and Comey blew it?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Wall Street journal Rebecca balhaus twitter

Over dinner at Mar-a-Lago, Giuliani says Trump floated him joining the legal team because he wanted his advice. Giuliani told him, "Look, I'll give it to you anyway.”

He’s joining the team as an unpaid volunteer, taking a leave of absence from his firm.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

No, we don’t care anymore about Mueller. He has no evidence on Trump so there is no opportunity for him to twist things. Comey ruined his obstruction of justice back up plan so that’s pretty much it.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

And are any of the right wingers here being influenced by the fake news circulated by Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity about Mueller’s involvement in the Whtey Bulger case? I’m curious as to the reach and impact.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

It’s Giuliani, he can pretty much do anything.

This comment demonstrate in a crystal clear manner that certain conservatives belief some people are above the law. Why do conservatives disdain the American judicial system so much?

How long before an ethics complaint is filed against Giuliani for representing a client in a mattering which he should have reasonably expected to be called as a necessary witness?

It’s Giuliani, he can pretty much do anything.

That's an ethical no-no for lawyers. RPC 3.7.

With the laws Mueller and the rest of his merry men distorted

I also expect Giuliani to act within the bounds of the law and not casually on a regular basis, unlike others in Trump land.

I’m sure he be just as fair as Mueller has been, so No need to worry.

So, Giuliani will be out soon,

After this investigation is closed....well...yeah.

and it is probably why he wasn't AG to begin with.

There could be 1000 reasons.

I'm literally laughing out loud at the assertion that Giuliani is doing this out of love for the country.

Well, Mueller isn’t either.

It takes an amazing level of intellectual dishonesty to claim that Giuliani or Trump are doing anything for altruisic reasons.

Some may say the exact opposite, flip mode.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Both side are being childish by constantly claiming any new development is "the final nail in the coffin" of this investigation. Both sides should STFU until Mueller releases his findings.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

And guiliani also doing this work for free for the good of his country. bet if mueller and his team were working for free this whole thing would have lasted a week.

plus Rudy knows what was really on Weiner’s laptop.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Yeah Giuliani should be out in 2-3 weeks when this nonsense investigation gets wrapped up and we move on.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

not casually LIE on a regular basis, unlike others in Trump land. (Corrected)

3 ( +3 / -0 )

No, not with Giuliani on their team, this is really significant. Finally, we should see this witch hunt slowly come to an end. Giuliani is not the push around, take NO for an answer or wobble, if anyone can accelerate this thing it’s him.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Oh well , crooks gotta stick together, my trump will give him a job when he fires mueller...

He doesn’t need to fire Mueller. If it weren’t for Giuliani NYC would be never ending destroyed.sewer.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Wow, thats all you have left, some off topic nonsense? But you missed a word, I will even capitalize it for you. "CONVICTED" child abuser. that is not used to describe Roy Moore, as it is incorrect.

and the topic was not people having access to classified material like this convicted felon did.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Blacklabel : emails on a convicted child abuser’s laptop

Chils abusers didn't bother you when you supported Roy Moore!

6 ( +6 / -0 )

So Giuliani there to let Mueller save face? He can just come out and say he found nothing on Trump. It’s not Mueller’s fault, that’s a honest job done if you find nothing when nothing to be found.

CNN top headline now:

“CNN obtains Comey memos”. (Yeah so did everyone else).

“in memos, Trump frequently mentioned leaks to media” (true! yeah that was McCabe and Comey and others doing it)

“and twice brings up golden showers”. (Yeah I would be bringing that up too if the FBI director knew there was no evidence of it but wouldn’t tell anyone).

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

"My advice on Mueller has been this: He should be allowed to do his job. He’s entitled to do his job.” Giuliani

“I’m doing it because I hope we can negotiate an end to this for the good of the country and because I have high regard for the president and for Bob Mueller." Giuliani

"Rudy is great. He has been my friend for a long time and wants to get this matter quickly resolved for the good of the country," Sekulow quoted Trump as saying.

Wow, now we have hearsay issued by attorneys because they are afraid of what Trump will really say, and the statements are shockingly similar to what Giuliani said. Hmmm. Sekulow may be fibbing on this one. I doubt Trump ever said that. It was probably more of a grunt of approval.

Giuliani is a step up from Trump's regular second stringers like Cohen and the other barkers, but Giuliani suffers from the same problem. He is working for Trump, and Trump doesn't listen to legal advice and will cause problems. The perfect client, if he (or the contributors to the election fund) pays their bills.

Giuliani will also be working to get Sessions job, which I would be happy to see if only because I despise Sessions only a little less than I despise Trump.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Not that slime ball!

Oh well , crooks gotta stick together, my trump will give him a job when he fires mueller...

4 ( +4 / -0 )

a Twitter says it better than I can:

“In evidentiary teams, #ComeyMemos are a debacle for @Comey. They expose a guy who lied about himself in his own memos, admitted he lied to Trump in his own memos, admitted he lied about others to Trump in his own memos, and later lied to others about what was in the memos. “

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

This and the Comey memos only making himself look bad, its done. Russia Collusion dead. Obstruction of Justice dead. Trump not target of Mueller or Cohen investigations. Done!

Time for Mueller and his Democratic minions to call it a night, pack up and go.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Cite on the timeline and the relevance of the time and intent? Doubt it.

More like another deep state conspiracy theory pushed by Infowar or some other crackpot.

I don’t know what news you’ve been watching, but on this planet, it seems like McCabe Lied and obstructed Justice according to the IG report...uh-oh and now Comey admitted on tape he would give Trump his loyalty when he said under oath he didn’t, not to mention the leaking, seems like Comey is blatantly more dishonest than we previously thought.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

This and the Comey memos only making himself look bad, its done. Russia Collusion dead. Obstruction of Justice dead. Trump not target of Mueller or Cohen investigations. Done.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

It certainly has so far.

Not the way the left wants though.

CrazyJoe, you might be thinking of Trump’s friend Roger Stone? He was coordinating with Wikileaks along with Don Jr. to release the stolen DNC emails courtesy of the Russians.

Looks like this Russian witch hunt will be ending soon and the President can get back to doing his job.

Rudy Giulianis father was a mafia enforcer, so he will fit in with trump

No, Giuliani went against the mafia and went hard against the Gambino Crime Family. One of THE toughest prosecutors out there. Now it will be a lot more difficult to continue this circus.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Rudy Giulianis father was a mafia enforcer, so he will fit in with trump.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

He went on TV to say the FBI had found more emails on a Clinton aide's PC (the one married to Weiner) which pushed Comey to come out and say that the FBI was "investigating" the new emails.

Yes, so they did find more mails on the aide's PC (some classified), it was accessible by felon Weiner, and it did push Comey to have to investigate the new mails. Of course, you want to avoid all that and cry that the only problem with all of this is that Guiliani wasnt supposed to know about it?

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

oh no, its real. One of the reasons why McCabe was referred for criminal prosecution by the IG. So he will get investigated for knowing about this? No, he helped to stop this criminal coverup.

http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/371470-justice-department-investigating-mccabes-actions-on-clinton-email

The DOJ inspector general, Michael Horowitz, is reportedly looking at why McCabe neglected for at least three weeks to look at new emails related to the investigation that were found on former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y)'s laptop during the later months of the 2016 election.

Investigators want to know if McCabe or others at the FBI wanted to avoid coming up with results in that probe until after the 2016 election concluded, the Post reports.

In September of 2016, investigators searching a laptop belonging to Weiner discovered thousands of emails related to Clinton's private email server used during her time at the State Department. The emails were a result of the device being used for work by Huma Abedin, Weiner's wife and a close aide to Clinton.

McCabe was notified in late September or early October, according to the report. For three weeks, however, little changed in the investigation, which some law enforcement officials told the Post was a sign of the issue nearly dying at McCabe's desk.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

except that it was true McCabe and Comey knew about these classified emails on Weiner's computer for like a month and were hiding it.

Cite on the timeline and the relevance of the time and intent? Doubt it.

More like another deep state conspiracy theory pushed by Infowar or some other crackpot.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Wasn't this the same guy who knew about Hillary's email release before anyone else did?

He went on TV to say the FBI had found more emails on a Clinton aide's PC (the one married to Weiner) which pushed Comey to come out and say that the FBI was "investigating" the new emails.

He later denied (lied) that the NY FBI agents told him anything. How about that for you deep state believers?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

except that it was true McCabe and Comey knew about these classified emails on Weiner's computer for like a month and were hiding it. Just trying to run the clock out until after election day to prevent people from questioning how those classified emails got from their owner (Hillary) to a convicted felon married to her aide. Luckily honest people in the NY office wouldnt allow it.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

You can't defend the indefensible. Without Russia, Trump would never have attained the presidency.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Giulliani doesn't look happy here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_euAvUdBKc

3 ( +3 / -0 )

I thought Guiliani was potentially implicated in this scandal himself. He's certainly not a neutral party here and has his own mystery ties to Russian oligarchs.

Giuliani, who inserted himself into the campaign and fed false information from the NY FBI office is now working for Trump?

It's like all these disgusting poisonous insects and vipers are huddling together.

9 ( +9 / -0 )

CrazyJoe, you might be thinking of Trump’s friend Roger Stone? He was coordinating with Wikileaks along with Don Jr. to release the stolen DNC emails courtesy of the Russians.

8 ( +8 / -0 )

It’s a Hillary mail “release” now? She and her assistant are the ones who sent them, they weren’t “released”.

So when is Giuliani getting raided? Would be typical of this whole investigation for Giuliani to get investigated to see if and how he “knew” about hillary’s Classified emails without actually holding someone criminally accountable for how they were sent.

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

Wasn't this the same guy who knew about Hillary's email release before anyone else did?

And tried to bring attention to it and no one did a darn thing.

That guy? He should be a subject of Mueller's probe.

Lol! Uh-huh....anyway, back to reality...with Giuliani on the team, now this entire fiasco should come to a quick end, this is probably THE most brilliant move Trump has made yet.

-11 ( +1 / -12 )

No, this is the guy who was told by honest FBI agents that Comey and McCabe were hiding for nearly one month at the time that there were classified Hillary emails on a convicted child abuser’s laptop.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

Wasn't this the same guy who knew about Hillary's email release before anyone else did? That guy? He should be a subject of Mueller's probe.
