Such a pathetic excuse for a man.

10 ( +29 / -19 )

Trump campaigned on a pledge to "Make America Great Again" but leaves office with nearly 400,000 people dead of the coronavirus whose risk he downplayed, an economy struggling from the pandemic, and relationships strained with key U.S. allies.

The legacy of 4 years of MAGA and winning.

14 ( +25 / -11 )

That speech was from a President that could have been in office for 12 years.

-26 ( +7 / -33 )

"The greatest danger we face is a loss of confidence in

the US as a republic with democratic principles. Trump and his Republicans have done more to undermine voting and elections, cornerstone to any system with democratic features, than any American politicians - ever.

18 ( +23 / -5 )

Political violence is an attack on everything we cherish as Americans. It can never be tolerated,

Hollow words coming from Trump.

The U.S. and the world will be much better with him out of the WH.

19 ( +25 / -6 )

The U.S. and the world will be much better with him out of the WH.

No, only China will be better off. And I guess we can now expect more wars.

-18 ( +9 / -27 )

Man, if ever a picture said it all. Look at those eyes. The eyes never lie.

19 ( +20 / -1 )

please. just. go. away.

@Yakyak

That speech was from a President that could have been in office for 12 years.

Don’t you mean “wanted” to be in office for 12 years? Obviously he couldn’t!

18 ( +19 / -1 )

@Mr. Noidall

That’s like saying a boxer lost the fight because he died in a car wreck on his way to the fight. Who knows, he could’ve won. No one knows how Trump’s presidency would’ve turned out had he not had to deal with the daily harassment and sabotage by the democratic media complex. But where Trump failed, he also succeeded. He exposed the democrats for who they really are. Many who would never do so, have reconsidered the Democratic Party and decided to leave. So with a new eye on the democrats, I say get on with it.

First, your analogy make no logical sense! Second, Pres. Obama dealt with too pandemics quite effectively try again!

@All the other fact-challenged trump supporters

Trump campaigned on a pledge to "Make America Great Again" but leaves office with nearly 400,000 people dead of the coronavirus whose risk he downplayed, an economy struggling from the pandemic, and relationships strained with key U.S. allies.

Any rational comments? This is your presidents legacy in addition to insurrection and the only president to be impeached twice!

21 ( +24 / -3 )

Brace yourselves MIDDLES EAST, AMERICA is COMING HOME.

-26 ( +1 / -27 )

@Mr. Noidall

But where Trump failed, he also succeeded. He exposed the democrats for who they really are. Many who would never do so, have reconsidered the Democratic Party and decided to leave. So with a new eye on the democrats, I say get on with it.

He also exposed all the conservative racists, criminals, traitors, and nutjobs in the Republican party! The Capitol riots was his last effort to expose his true base to the world and whole country!

Now he will continue to exploit them for his financial gain!

25 ( +27 / -2 )

No, only China will be better off. And I guess we can now expect more wars.

The incoming Sec. of State is saying recent U.S. moves against China were needed.

The Iraq war was a GoP led war based on falsified intelligence.

The U.S. always has dozens of military actions ongoing, and this will not stop. Major engagements will likely continue to decline though.

14 ( +16 / -2 )

But where Trump failed, he also succeeded. He exposed the democrats for who they really are. Many who would never do so, have reconsidered the Democratic Party and decided to leave.

So successful. The Democrats were voted into office, and now control the House and the Senate. Oh, and he sabotaged the GOP too. Yeah, so much winning.

22 ( +25 / -3 )

@Bob Fasse

So successful. The Democrats were voted into office, and now control the House and the Senate. Oh, and he sabotaged the GOP too. Yeah, so much winning.

He really did "Make America Great Again" by exposing Republicans and their supporters!

19 ( +22 / -3 )

No one knows how Trump’s presidency would’ve turned out had he not had to deal with the daily harassment and sabotage by the democratic media complex

Wow, he had control of the legislature until just recently, and they went along with him in nearly all cases. One time that they didn't was McCain's vote not to kill Obamacare. How could he have been held back?

Trump's legacy, unbounded lies, support of racists and conspiracies, oh, and whining going in and going out.

21 ( +21 / -0 )

A tragedy that would have been compounded if Mr. Trump had follow Mr. Biden’s advice from last January to the present.

The pandemic was the best thing to have happened to Joe Biden. He was a 3 time loser in the primaries(once dropped out due to plagiarism) to becoming the highest vote-getter in U.S. history without campaigning much. As I was taught by the fine people here, Biden was the most popular in history because he is so loveable not because they hated Trump.

-20 ( +2 / -22 )

This Christian act tells us more about President Trump than those Leftist news commentators who cannot let go of their hate.

He couldn’t bring himself to mention Biden by name. Yeah, that tells us A LOT.

Hundreds of thousands dead across the globe is a horrific tragedy.

Across the globe? They’re only talking about America here.

14 ( +16 / -2 )

A coward slinks back under his rock after presiding over more death in a year than any time in the last 100 years, fails miserably to become a dictator, issues a video watched by nobody.

16 ( +17 / -1 )

"America is not a timid nation of tame souls who need to be sheltered and protected from those with whom we disagree."

. . . says he who claims to be the most unfairly treated person in American history.

"We extend our best wishes, and we also want them to have luck - a very important word."

Yeah, whatever.

According to Gallup, Trump has the lowest average approval rate of any president ever. 41% (34% upon leaving office). 4 points lower than Carter's average. Chew on that, Trump fans!

For a "man" who loves ratings, Trump sure is a loser. And he's soon to be an even bigger one.

Good riddance.

13 ( +16 / -3 )

A petty speech from a petty juvenile president!!

It is hilarious that every few people want to attend his send off, even Pence, the faithful lap dog has turned on him.

The only hope for trump now is Rudy attending and speaking, stand up comedy might make that pathetic event interesting!!!

Why left-wing liberal hate the President Trump?

If the left-wing liberal didn't start war on the President Trump and then America will be top of the world again. The America was back on the track until Covid-19 came to strike America. The President Trump was good President but he couldn't keep his mouth and left-wing liberal journalists pushed him mistake.

In the end, the American attacking another American. Left-wing liberal journalists are preferring center-left Democrat over Republican because they can control over center-left Democrat.

Both sides have guilty of destroyed democracy in America. You can't blame entirly on Trump.

-22 ( +4 / -26 )

Trump's presidency (in no particular order): gave the rich a tax break that blew out the deficit, established a Muslim ban, ripped children away from asylum seekers, started a trade war with China that cost Americans $$$ and gained nothing, "fine people on both sides", almost started a war in Iran, lost the friendship of his allies, lost the GOP control of the house, the senate and the presidency, fired almost everyone he hired, twice, got impeached, twice, gave voice to the far right, blamed Antifa for everything, became besties with Putin, demonized the press, told more lies than every other American president, combined, bungled the coronavirus crisis, encouraged an insurrection on the Capitol, got booted from office but refused to admit being a loser.

Did I miss anything?

19 ( +20 / -1 )

Chop Chop

Why left-wing liberal hate the President Trump?

If the left-wing liberal didn't start war on the President Trump and then America will be top of the world again.

If the president had represented the American people, the left would have left Trump alone. Trump is the cause, the war on him is the consequence. Not the other way around.

16 ( +19 / -3 )

The hypocrisy of it all ... the current occupant of the White House for a few more hours, has almost singlehandedly, with the help of same minded coconspirators and enablers, has destroyed the democratic institutions and is leaving a nation in tatters.

During one of the last Covid-19 super spreader political rallies in November, he stated he would leave the USA in January.

Keep your promise ... it doesn’t matter where you go and with which passport issued by which country, under which name, just leave the scene. You’ve done disastrous damage to my country ... enough is enough.

11 ( +14 / -3 )

"This week, we inaugurate a new administration and pray for its success.................."

I'm trying very hard to imagine Trump on his knees praying for anything. But I can't.

11 ( +14 / -3 )

"America is not a timid nation of tame souls who need to be sheltered and protected from those with whom we disagree."

Agreed. But Trump personally is so timid and tame he refuses to even meet Biden. He's describing Americans, not himself.

The flag-gropper in Chief, the man who has defiled the word “Patriot”, “Stupid Voldemort” is about to go. All the bleach In the world won’t scrub away the stain he leaves on the Republic.

About the only thing that Donald can gloat about during the past four year nightmare is that he accomplished things that Putin. XI, The Mullahs and ISIS only dream about....killing 400K Americans and inciting an armed insurrection against the US Capital...

The sooner the NYSD Attorney and Manhattan Prosecutors finish their tax and insurance fraud investigation of the Trump Org, the better...

Which would probably attract a lot of dark money from 'foreign' states and be one more way for him to rip off his klans.

9 ( +10 / -1 )

This will sound the alarm for the GOP to speed up the hearing in the senate and hand down the guilty verdict for Trump. Now he is planning to stiff his own party who followed him, "blindly".

8 ( +9 / -1 )

If convicted in the senate, he can no longer hold a public office for life.

Maybe a relief for the GOP in the long run because Trump will surely vilify them as he vilified the DEMS. He will do whatever it takes to win another presidency. No doubt about that.

That's going to be pretty hard to do from jail... ;-)

12 ( +13 / -1 )

I'll be very happy tomorrow watching Donald get on the plane and leave Washington for the last time....

I'll be even happier when the tax and insurance fraud investigations of the Trump Org are finished then watching him get frog-marched out of the court room to Rikers Island in an orange jumpsuit...

I hope you're correct. Whatever option there is is good enough.

"We extend our best wishes, and we also want them to have luck - a very important word."

Yep, "The Greatest (one term) President" who "never got tired of winning" only lost because of (bad) luck (trans., "the Chinese virus", fake news and a rigged election). As ever, Trump as transparent in word as in deed, has left a toxic, virus-ravaged legacy of incompetence that he has been too cowardly to own and with "the best words" bid the traumatized nation a most forgettable, insincere farewell spoken with all the sincerity from the bottom of his bruised ego. Trump's pathological narcissism knows all the tricks of the trade to salvage and soothe his fragile pride that has always refused to leave the realm of fantasy lest the egg-shell of his ego break like Humpty-Dumpty in the glaring light of reality.

"America is not a timid nation of tame souls who need to be sheltered and protected from those with whom we disagree."

A very unifying sentiment. Not. Trump's hollow riff on "Home of the Brave" doesn't jive with his "bone spurs", nor with Uncle Sam, the American bald eagle who gave Trump a fright when he got too fresh.

Like millions of other sufferers around the world I will celebrate Trump's good riddance with a long drink to better times because, as the note he ended on, "the best is yet to come" (and my popcorn is waiting).

This Christian act tells us more about President Trump...

So what do you make of him not conceding the election, not meeting Biden before the inauguration and not attending it? What do you think that tells us?

As an atheist, I'm pretty sure I know more about the bible than the fat guy. As his sister says, he only goes to church when the cameras are switched on.

In 2016, Trump made the campaign pledge 62 times to "build the wall"...to keep out murderers, rapists, and terrorists. Yet after four years only one-fourth of the 1600 mile border wall is complete....

In 2021, Trump built a wall around the White House, Capital, and The Mall in less than a week...to keep out pro-Trump far-right domestic terrorists and insurrectionists...and its 100% complete...

What an ironic end to a four year nightmare...

14 ( +14 / -0 )

AAAAAAAND, he’s going to pardon Bannon.

What a pathetic miserable excuse of a human being.

10 ( +10 / -0 )

Bye, Don, you brought out the worst of America!

Do not let the door hit you, where the good Lord split you!

11 ( +11 / -0 )

I hope Trump does start his own political party. He lost the federal election (by ‘a landslide’), as well as pretty much every other one since his own inauguration, and that was with the backing of the Republicans. The only effect it will have is to further split the GOP between conservatives and insurrectionists. This would be a gift to the Democratic Party and paradoxically force the Republican Party to rehabilitate itself and get back to its conservative roots, putting their embarrassing capitulation to the narcissist grifter behind them and allowing for them and the country to move forward with a return to civil debate. Trump’s brand of politics by division will wither and fade, and the GOP, and indeed the Democratic Party will be able to examine their own actions, addressing the concerns of disenfranchised voters who fell for the rhetoric. His ‘Patriot Party’ (oh, the irony) will fail, just like everything else he touches. A win/win for the US. That is, if he manages to stay out of jail.

The violent child, trump, hiding from the public hoping to steal some thunder from Pres. Biden's Inauguration.

SORE LOSER, to the very end!

Gallup added that Trump's average approval rating as president was 41% - 4 percentage points lower than any other president Gallup had polled.

A Pew Research Center survey last week found his approval rating to be 29% as he headed into his last week in office - a historic low.

Another record of trump's terrible performance that he can claim all for himself!

14 ( +14 / -0 )

I am waiting for trump to call FOXNEWS to tell them that he had the greatest send off in US History, but mainstream media is hiding the truth!

Trump's White House staff and alumni are reportedly using the same excuse to skip his big sendoff

Enjoy your asphyxiation.

I just wish on reporter could get close enough to Trump to ask him as he is going up the stairs to the plane....

"Hey Mr President, where the Kraken?"

I will join 45 in wishing President Elect Biden a safe and wonderful inauguration, and an administration so wildly successful that even I would be tempted to support him!

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

Yeah, weird how traitors who incite insurrection don’t get much love.

11 ( +11 / -0 )

Truly pathetic, & he was still reaching out to his nasty supporters about the future.....

Hopefully he ends up behind bars before he can do the US & the world what you KNOW who did to Germany during WWII!!!!!!

No more "Be Best"...just "Be Gone"...tick tock tick tock

400,000 Americans dead from something Trump said would be gone when the weather warmed up.

Try to be tempted to support that.

Want a good example of the destruction of the Republican Party Trump leaves behind?

Trump Repub toady Giuliani just blamed Trump Repub toady Barr for the violence at the Capital...

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/giuliani-blame-barr-for-capitol-violence/ar-BB1cTTb4

While former Trump Repub toady McConnell blames Trump for the violence...

Team Blue should just standby and watch as the self-implosion of the Republicans that everyone predicted in 2016 occurs in real-time...
