The difference being that we're talking about Russia, not Iraq.
Russia is guilty as sin. Look at their state-sponsored doping program. Look at their trolling of the American election system.
SuperLib
Russia is mostly a pariah state at this point.
Tommy Jones
We don't need to hold Russia accountable for anything because we want better relations with them. Just ask the conservative posters.
Strangerland
Yeah, they love their appeasement of Russia.
Aly Rustom
Agree with all of the above. The world came together against Aparteid in South Africa 20 or so years ago. now is the time to do the same with Russia. It is a rogue state.
Jimizo
Strong verbal support, eh?
The Russians must be quaking in their boots.
goldorak
Agree. The EU is clearly sending a political message to the UK i.e 'you're no longer one of us'. No one was expecting strong support from the EU ('an attack on one of us is an attack on all of us', 'we are one' etc type) but clearly they're now treating Britain as a 'partner' rather than a close ally (they may even use this during brexit negotiations).

Not proven, not independently studied. Also msm has previous stated they are dead and he is a Russian spy. He was both a Russian and British spy and is a British citizen.
Asakaze
Wishful thinking of some politicians and their mouthpieces.
Much more sober view:

Nope - the people of the world hate Russia right now, for running state-sponsored doping at the Olympics, for hacking systems all over the world, for messing with the American political system, and for murdering their citizens in broad daylight in public areas.
If Russians don't like the world hating them, then they should rise up and overthrow their government. It's their government's fault that the world hates Russia. They are only getting the hatred that they deserve.
viking68
Do Russians (living in Russia) even care what the world thinks? Probably not.
Most Russians I speak with doubt a lot of what the Western world says negatively about Putin and Russia.
albaleo
That doesn't seem to match Boris Johnson's assessment. He had the case solved in a matter of hours.
nandakandamanda
The rest of the world does not hate the Russians, whatever politicians might like to say.
Madverts
Exactly. Just the out of control criminals that control the entire government, army, police, courts, media and obviously the "elections".
Toasted Heretic
For sure. Just not a fan of the corrupt politicians and those agents who promote chaos and fear.
That lot are not doing Russia any favors and I hope are not representative of their country.
Strangerland
The world hates Russia, not Russians. People are not their government (particularly in dictatorships).
Russia is a mess. Russians are just people like the rest of us.
Asakaze
And your assumption is based on what kind of opinion census? Speak for yourself, who gave you the right to speak in the name of the world? You, Madverts and several other posters should just organize "I-hate-Russia club" and amuse yourselves there, without bothering others.
Spoke with my collegues, most of them, who are interested in international affairs, are very sceptical about how the Western MSM present the Skripal story. You do not speak on behalf of Japanese at least.
