Trump continues his ongoing mission to wind up his authoritarian nationalist supporters at home, in Europe and in 'non-western' European nations.

Included among them are the various neo-nationalsocialist bunds backing predatory capitalism. Corporatocracy uber alles! The era of autocrats has been ushered in.

So, basically Merkel showed President Trump is right. German crime stats started to come down when they slowed the influx of immigrants.

Trump is mostly speaking to his uneducated base.

Trump should just stop talking about Europe, period.

I'll remind you Fox News, that Trump loves so much, is creating facts about Europeans countries. Like the so called "no-go zones" in Paris or elsewhere.

But the fact is Europe, even with millions of refugees and migrants arrivals, is still much more safe than the US. Always have been.

So the headline should read:

TRUMP LIES ABOUT GERMAN CRIME STATS

Dear US press-- Please wake up. Trump has declared war on you, and if you don't fight back, he might just win. So fight, dammit.

The German homicide rate is 0.8 per 100,000 per year. The US rate is 5 per 100,000 per year. What point is Trump trying to make exactly?

What point is Trump trying to make exactly?

The same point made by The Birth of a Nation over a hundred years ago: that dark-skinned people are dangerous. That's Trump's dog whistle.

Well of course, if you cut the number of people coming into the country by 2/3rds in 2017, then crime will go down. It's not rocket science.

the number of people claiming asylum in Germany, and across Europe, have both declined dramatically. The EU’s asylum office said Monday that asylum applications declined by almost half in 2017 across Europe from the prior year; in Germany, the number of applications dropped by more than two-thirds over the same period

Need it said more clearly?

A government-sponsored study published in January showed that violent crime had risen about 10 percent in 2015 and 2016, attributing more than 90 percent of the rise to young male asylum seekers.

I noticed the MSM Reuters piece failed to mention the huge drop in migrants. Nope! No correlation there.

From the report:

Not counting violations of law concerning foreigners (the Residence Act, Asylum Act and the Freedom of Movement Act/EU), this figure was 5,582,136, or 5.1% fewer offences than in 2016 (5,884,815).

"Not counting violations of law concerning foreigners"

What does that mean?

Trump is clearly wrong on the overall direction of crime stats, but it's a logical fallacy to suggest that the massive drop in criminality observed all over the western world in the past 20-30 years (a major mystery in criminology with all sorts of theories to explain it) somehow cancels out the fact that migrants have indeed led to a disproportionate increase in violent crimes and sexual assaults in particular areas. The reality is that Germany would have had an even lower record low crime rate if not for the influx of migrants.

Merlkel is the most insidious left wing infiltrator that Germany has ever known......
