Again, through a quarantine hotel? Get a protocol established that WORKS.

I don't understand why JT runs so many Aussie covid stories... covid is raging all over the world, but JT like to report on Australia's minor outbreaks.

Might sound nebulous, but check out the nebuliser conundrum aspect in the story. Hotels do not allow use of nebulisers, apparently.

Speaking as one Aussie who went through the Melbourne lockdown last year. Business and lives are all basically back to normal. We are going out and doing what we used to, just with masks in some places and a knowledge that we need to be a bit careful. The above post does not make much sense. It isnt visible if we dont have it and we can go out. But if cases slip through quarantine we know there may be short term consequences to find them all. We will not allow the rampant and unchecked spread to happen again. Lockdowns work. Lockdowns save lives. Our lockdown eradicated the virus and allows us to live normally again. We will do what we need to to stay on top of this because living normally and virus free is better than the alternatives.

Well said. Getting on with things, making short term sacrifices and getting back to normal without being a drama queen like a few sure are.

You’ll never have a normal life if you get slammed into lockdown every time a small cluster occurs.

Umm, unlike the rest of us, they HAVE had a normal life over the past months.

Two points to remember with the Aussie lockdowns ;
many businesses didn’t survive & went bankrupt
the government had a great financial support system in place, in the form of job keeper & job finder
