Maintaining control of covid allows normal life to carry on. If some short lockdowns mean that the majority of the time things are normal its a much smaller price to pay than other countries that do little to nothing and have thousands that die and thousands that get long term issues like loss of smell and taste indefinitely.

I am exstatic that I live in a country that would rather control covid than have covid control the country.

Our economy is booming and apart from masks in close quarters shopping things are normal and nobody is sick. That is a much better outcome than Europe and America and Russia face with uncontrolled spreading of the virus still occurring.
