"Proud Boys". What a lame name for a bunch of lame incels.

Bass, your obsession with this man is disturbing.
Why are you obsessed with an irrelevant man on a low ratings TV show?
Hmmm....
CrazyJoe
Portland only has an "Antifa problem" when these Right wing Nazi groups come in from out of town to gaslight and cause trouble.
Leave it to Trump to equate people holding signs with Nazi's. You played your cards in Charlotte and we know who you are now ya racists ***'s.

Political beliefs in the US cover a full spectrum. It's only those who want to further divide the nation who oversimplify to either-or, liberal or conservative, Republican or Democrat. By oversimplifying it's easier for a demagogue to divide and conquer.

The Daily Caller is a conservative American news and opinion website based in Washington, D.C. It was founded by political pundit Tucker Carlson and Neil Patel in 2010.
The Daily Caller has published numerous false stories, as well as shared deceptively edited videos and photos. The website publishes articles that dispute the scientific consensus on climate change. The website has published articles by white supremacists, such as Jason Kessler and Peter Brimelow. Scott Greer was The Daily Caller's deputy editor until 2018, when it was revealed that he published articles espousing white nationalist, racist anti-black and antisemitic views under a pseudonym in white supremacist publications.

So let me get this straight, the Proud Boys turn up in their pickup trucks and are just wanting to march (for? The right to capture someone, say "Squeal like a piggy, boy!" and then hunt them?)... and because Antifa turn up their very presence is enough to trigger the Boys?
I'm on the fence re Antifa, but calling anti fascists 'fascists' is a bit odd. Bit like a vegan calling other vegans weirdos...
Pot, kettle, black!

Stay out, Trump. Let local and state governments manage their own jurisdictions. Rich coming from a president who spends so much of his time playing golf (on the taxpayer's dollars), watching Fox & Friends, and tweeting celebrities.
Why wasn't the New York Metropolitan Correctional Center, managed by the Bureau of Prisons, an agency under the Department of Justice managed by Attorney General William Barr who Trump appointed, watched more closely while Epstein was there?

Well, I guess we should all get ready for the tweet tomorrow that there are "very fine people" in the "Proud Boys"...
*The Proud Boys is a far-right neo-fascist organization that admits only men as members and promotes political violence. It is based in the United States and has a presence in Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. The group was started in 2016 by Vice Media co-founder and former commentator Gavin McInnes. Proud The group sees men — especially white men — and Western culture as under siege; their views have elements of white genocide conspiracy theory. While the group claims it does not support white supremacist views, its members often participate in racist rallies, events, and organizations. The organization glorifies violence, and members engage in violence at events it attends; the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has called it an "alt-right fight club".*

HOUSE REPUBLICAN MASS SHOOTING STRATEGY REVEALED IN LEAKED MEMO: BLAME THE LEFT, MINIMIZE WHITE SUPREMACY ROLE
https://www.newsweek.com/house-republican-mass-shooting-strategy-revealed-leaked-memo-blame-left-minimize-white-1454838
In response to the pummelling the GOP is taking over white supremacist violence, they created a memo of talking points to counter the question, "Do you believe white nationalism is driving more mass shootings recently?" It involves a strategy of shifting the conversation away from the right and instead blaming liberals. Because apparently that's more important to them than solving the real threat from their own members.
An example of a prepared response:
"We have sadly seen violence from ideological extremists on both sides and that is completely unacceptable and must be condemned. Congressman Bilirakis has always been clear that he denounces bigotry and hate speech, regardless of its source, including from white nationalists."
So despite the fact that nearly all arrests and murders are from right-wing extremists, they're going to play the "both sides have issues" as if the scale is evenly balanced. Which it isn't.
Looks like Trump got the memo.
Strangerland
Well now we know where the Moron Crew go their talking points as of late, and why they keep on going on about antifa, even though anyone who isn't a moron (and therefore part of the moron crew) can see that antifa is 1/10000th the problem that the right wing terrorists groups are.
Once again, the moron crew is exposed for a complete and total lack of ethics, and let's be honest, humanity.

Whoosh!

In addition to the Proud Boys were 3 Percenters, a gun rights paramilitary group. I'm sure JT posters who support counterpunching, not taking crap, must understand why those opposed to fascism would counter-protest.
Jimizo
Trash
smithinjapan
Trump's heroes out in full force.
theFu
Any group in America has the right to freedom of speech and the right to march. They got permits.
Other groups who don't like what they have to say showing up as a counter protest are fine, until they also become a group that DOES NOT have needed permits and cause violence just by being there. They should either get permits for their counter march elsewhere or on a different date. They have exactly the same freedom of speech rights.
IMHO, there is little reason to listen to either of these groups vile speech, but they have the right to say it, in America.
I don't see what 90% of the other comments have to do with this article.
Jimizo
No doubt there is some trash in the Antifa movement - idiots for the most part from my perspective, but the proud boys are trash defined.
Im surprised our thoughtful conservative posters aren’t doing more to distance themselves from this garbage.
lincolnman
And you think there are some "very fine people" in the Proud Boys?
The smoking gun.....
This can't be right - did someone just post a link to a far-right nut job conspiracy site and expect people to read it?
Wolfpack
I really don’t know much about this group. I searched them on the internet and although they say they want to preserve their culture they have some unsavory people associating with them. They don’t seem any worse than Antifa. Do you think there are some “very fine people” in Antifa?
I personally do not like extremists on either side. The Proud Boys just wanted to march and had a permit to do so. That is preferred to violence. By showing up to counter-protest Antifa are instigators of violence. In fact, violent confrontation is the reason they exist. How about we all just try to get along?
lincolnman
Well, the Proud Boys favor violence, and are affiliated with white supremacy views - basically your typical white power thugs. I don't support any group that favors violence - and that includes Antifa, but I think that group has been over-hyped.
I don't agree with your assessment - anytime you have white power thugs, they are the ones that will instigate the violence...
Jimizo
The Daily Caller?
Yuck.

I've seen Bass mention this guy before. I'm not sure who he is, or why he riles up the right so much, but good on him for it. They're only deporables. Not worth concerning oneself with.
Sneezy
Yes. If you are against antifa then you are pro-fascism.
Sneezy
No. Punch Nazis.
bass4funk
Taken out of context from his original speech, cut and spliced, that’s how deceptive the media is.
“I’m not talking about the neo-Nazis and white nationalists because they should be condemned totally.”
The smoking gun.....
Liberals would rather listen to extreme liberal sites that troll in a guise of a righteous group that takes on the lunatic Nazi, but are equally just as radical.

So Antifa is just anti-fascist, they don’t damage property, physically attack newsman or anyone else who gets in their, are not socialists or communists?
Got it MSM Reuter’s. You prove either your journalistic incompetence or your globalist lackey credentials everyday.

bass4funk
Bingo!
bass4funk
How about protesting without beating up people you disagree with? In my day, we would call action like that towards people as being violent. You can protest as long as you want, it’s healthy, but you don’t have the right to physically assault anyone whether you’re an Antifa or a Nazi, both are low level scum and should be ostracized and their messages repudiated, but as long as both sides carry legal permits to protest, it should be done peacefully whether you like it or not, both sides have first amendment rights.

Looks like Cuomo and all the other liberal pundits on TV that think Fascists groups like Antifa are completely justified in stomping a mud hole of anyone that they just think needs to be attacked, you look on the streets and the idiot Nazis that numbered less than 1000 and once again showed just what they really are, a bunch of losers that don’t have anything better to than the joy of wasting their lives and attacking anyone they hate, typical.

Antifa fight fascists. This is good and cool.
For those of you on the right who want to get rid of antifa, I have a quick solution for you!
Stop being fascists.
That's it!bass4funk
No, I do know, as usual liberals bad at math and can’t see this is the very thing that’s going to bury the candidates.
Sanders, Warren and Harris, the rest won’t be here by ne t year.
Reality is now “Wind up?”...ok..
Several independent studies have estimated that government spending on health care would increase dramatically, in the range of about $25 trillion to $35 trillion or more over a 10-year period. Specifically, a study released over the summer by the Mercatus Center at George Mason University estimated it would cost $32.6 trillion — $3.26 trillion per year — over 10 years. For comparison, the federal budget proposal for the fiscal year 2019 was $4.4 trillion, the Congressional Budget Office states.
.
http://www.crfb.org/blogs/has-president-obama-doubled-national-debt
Democrats’ focus on health insurance premiums is ironic. When ObamaCare was passed into law, Democrats claimed that it would lower health insurance premiums. In 2007, then-presidential candidateBarack Obama said that he would “sign a universal health care bill into law by the end of (his) first term as president that (would) cover every American and cut the cost of a typical family's premium by up to $2,500 a year.”In March 2010, a Democratic Congress passed the Affordable Care Act, more commonly known as “ObamaCare.” Shortly after signing the bill, President Obama claimed that Americans would “see their premiums reduced” and “get a better deal.” As ObamaCare was being implemented in 2012, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi(D-Calif.) said, “Everybody will have lower rates, better quality and better access.” This claim was greeted with a “false” rating by PolitiFact.
Rob O’Neill did.
Wolfpack
“both sides”.
The SPLC is a Leftist political organization who provide cover for Left wing hate groups. The organization used to be unbiased. Now they are squandering there status as an objective public interest group in their partisan zealotry to help Democrats get elected.
Antifa is clearly not an anti-fascist organization. Pretending otherwise is Orwellian double speak.
bass4funk
Well, there are people on both sides that want to hear these clowns, but the Nazis are definitely going to be outnumbered 10 to 1, so of course bashing will occur, but the Antifa are always the ones that start physical confrontation and then they think the Nazis are going to sit still and take it?
bass4funk
Without a doubt, watched a few highlights, these people are trash, lower than trash and you have idiots like Don Lemon praising these people as a force for good, sickening
bass4funk
And if he doesn’t?
Apparently, they seem they can’t.
By the way, how are Democrat and their socialists going to lower our taxes? I don’t want them raised since I know you want to create a giant entitlement, government dependent apparatus?
They don’t have a record of doing the job better, it’s actually worse.
So that’s why changes are happening. What else do you want?
bass4funk
That’s your opinion, but I trust Blowing’s insight over anyone at JT.
And it cost tax payers $10 billion on the subsidies, what a waste.
https://www.statnews.com/2019/03/22/affordable-care-act-controls-costs/
If they get into power, yes.
I don’t, it was a hypothetical scenario.
iTunes is the only thing that keeps me up at night.
bass4funk
Also, if any of the Democrat socialists were to get the WH Sanders radical “free for all” would cost and add $23 trillion to the National debt just in one term.
The Democrat socialists plan would exceed both Presidents.
Any of the Democrat socialists WERE they able to get 2 terms would exceed $46 trillion, but I doubt it would never come to any Democrat with that kind of crazy agenda getting a second term.
