Assad also said Trump's decision last week to keep a small number of U.S. troops in the Kurdish-held areas of Syria “where they have the oil” showed that Washington was a colonial power that was doomed to leave once Syrians resist their occupation as in Iraq

The simplest explanation is that Trump is a Russian Asset.

If Assad wants that territory back, he’ll need to make a deal with the Kurds, Turks, and Russians. The US will, hopefully, stay out of it except for the oilfields. The US is not the world’s police.

Good job Donnie - you've just sold out our allies and friends the Kurds to Assad the Murderer who gases his own women and children...

Proud of yourself?

Let the Syrians deal with their own countrymen.

And the narrative about Assad gassing his own women and children has long been debunked.

Agreed re Douma which did seem inconsistent at the time.

But from the same article, quote: But two words of warning. Just because the OPCW took the extraordinary decision to cover up some of its evidence in Douma does not mean that gas has not been used in Syria by the government or even by the Russians or by Isis and its fellow Islamists. Undoubtedly it has. All stand guilty of war crimes in the Syrian conflict. The OPCW’s dishonesty – for that is what it amounts to – does not let war criminals off the hook.

Objectively speaking, Syrian forces continue to deliberately target hospitals in a rolling attack on the remaining rebel-held areas. This is set policy, like it or not. Naturally Syrian women and children are killed in such hospital attacks on a constant basis.

Assad is correct. And Syrian state control does not mean that the Kurdish areas do not get a limited degree of self government as they had before.

Trump on course to reverse the illegal regime change policy created by Obama and Clinton and deserves credit for it.

Of course, the swamp media have another narrative, and those who are in the CNN bubble believe that.

Isn't it illuminating to see who The Trumpers here revere and respect...

Of course Putin tops their list, but Assad the Gasser and Kim the Murderer also rank highly....

Good thing Idi Amin has passed or he'd be near the top too....

What a cabal of degenerates - just like Trump...
