Oh god, please NO! Just no....

But then I have faith in the rest of the world not to listen!

One U.S. is definitely more than enough for the world to deal with.

9 ( +13 / -4 )

Ok, got it.

Tax cut, trade war, tariffs, uncontrollable healthcare costs, subsidies, lot of subsidies.

The real target here is not the G7.

It is the US voters as the media repeats everything Trumps says.

7 ( +9 / -2 )

message of the pro-jobs, pro-growth economic agenda,"

Will Trump say anything about the negative externalities of steroid-ing up the strong economy he inherited from President Obama and the risks of corrections ahead?

Will he talk about decreasing environmental, worker and consumer protections?

Will he mention Trump/GOP-don'tcare-healthcare?

Ballooning national debt?

Increasing socialism for the rich measures like more subsidies for big energy, big defense, farms and other corporations, especially those contributing to his campaigns?

About spending millions of taxpayer's dollars so he can play golf at one of his properties to increase their profits?

How he's making more money for himself and his family through the tax cuts for the rich measures he's pushed through?

About using the White House to negotiate with CCP rulers more trademarks for Ivanka/Trump Inc.?

6 ( +8 / -2 )

India? Seriously?! I thought Italy was a G7 member, not India. Did I miss something?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

No no no!

5 ( +6 / -1 )

As an American, I can’t see where we are role models for anyone to follow. The rise of nationalism, more open and blatant racist movements, increasing income disparity between the rich and poor, mass shootings combined with a government that can’t come together to make proper gun reform or any other type of beneficial change for the economy.

A used car salesman as a president with absolutely no filter. Trump created tax cuts for the rich which simply lowering the maximum withdrawal limit on taxes held for lower income individuals so it looks like a tax cut.

I am trying to find something to be proud of.

10 ( +11 / -1 )

India? Seriously?! I thought Italy

Conte was invited, but he resigned. So they invited someone else.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

The funny thing is, every time I look around at the rest of the G7, I see imperfect countries, sure. But by and large, they ARE trying to live up to the ideals espoused by the United States.

It's the United States, or more specifically the man-child in the White House, that fails to live up to being 'American.'

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Interesting how, while the Dems have become the party of fiscal responsibility, that reputation remains with the Deluge despite their improvement actions.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

@Coskuri: nice joke, but apparently Italy must still decide which politician they will send, probably Conte anyway. I find this mistake in the article both funny and a little weird.

Trump's message to G7 leaders this weekend: Be more like U.S.

Maybe he meant to say: "Like the U.S."

0 ( +0 / -0 )

The economy may be sluggish, but Europeans like their healthcare and 5 weeks of paid vacations.

The day the EU is trying to be more like the US, is the day the EU is finished.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

One thing what I love about this President, they attack him 24/7 damn all other important news it’s irrelevant, people don’t need to know what’s going on in the world, they are so obsessed they just can’t help themselves and he knows this and then will say something and troll these people knowing they will get their panties stuck in a bunch. Lol

-13 ( +1 / -14 )

We'd rather not be like the US, thanks all the same. Did anyone read his comments about Kashmir the other day?

Or attacking ally Denmark, whilst pimping for international despot and destabilizer Putin?

Quite shocking; as in, he hasn't got a clue.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

He's too out of touch for stuff like this. My best is he will start a useless rift with a couple of allies and spend the rest of the time lobbying for Putin's return.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

And Americans have to suffer another episode of acute embarrassment as the Great Orange Demented Dimwit goes overseas again....

Trump's message for the G7; Russia continues to cause trouble all around the world, has continued its occupation of Georgia, Ukraine and Crimea, continues to support Assad the Butcher in Syria, attacked two dissidents with dangerous chemical weapons in Britain, covered up a nuclear accident, and sure - it deserves to be re-admitted to the Group.

Trump may attend the meeting, but every time he opens his mouth Putin's voice will come out - just like the puppet he is....

3 ( +4 / -1 )

knowing they will get their panties stuck in a bunch.

In the real world Donny's got his diapers in a twist.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

"Hey, I know how to bankrupt a casino, and how to ruin the farming industry in America, so why wouldn't you want me to give you economic advice?"

6 ( +6 / -0 )

One thing what I love about this President, they attack him 24/7 damn all other important news it’s irrelevant, people don’t need to know what’s going on in the world, they are so obsessed they just can’t help themselves and he knows this and then will say something and troll these people knowing they will get their panties stuck in a bunch. Lol

Typical Trumpster defense. If Trump says anything or does any action that is negative, they defend him by saying it's all a joke. Now if Obama or any previous President had done the same thing, Fox News and Trumpsters would be all over on them and complaining so much about it. How hypocritical is that?

Trump is so easy to read. If anyone says something that he doesn't agree with, he brands them either a traitor, an enemy, or an idiot. Or, if it is news that doesn't fall in line with his beliefs, he says it's all "fake news". He comes off as being so tough, but in the end, the strength of his ego has to be questioned.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

I guess trump was not thinking societal but economically the US may look good on paper. But Mass Shooting and fentanyl drug use are taking its toll.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

trump will embarrass itself, then attack everything and everybody.

This is a forgone conclusion.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Trump will attend the G7 summit in France from Saturday to Monday and plans to hold individual meetings with the leaders of Britain, France, Germany, Japan, India and Canada during his trip...

Is that something mistyped above? It should be "Italy" instead "India", in G7!  Otherwise the world has changed dramatically!

0 ( +1 / -1 )

@lincolnman

Russia continues to cause trouble all around the world, has continued its occupation of Georgia, Ukraine and Crimea, continues to support Assad the Butcher in Syria, attacked two dissidents with dangerous chemical weapons in Britain, covered up a nuclear accident, and sure - it deserves to be re-admitted to the Group.

The U.S. and its satellites has committed numerous crimes around the world (Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya), keep supporting blatant nationalist and open Nazi- sympathizing regimes (Georgia, Ukraine, Latvia), continue to support terrorists in Syria, stage provocations and false flag operations like the Novichok fiasco or "Iranian attacks in the Gulf". Geez, what kind of unhappy low-life one should be to seat at one table with all these scoundrels called G-7 "leaders"??

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Be more like U.S.

No. The exact opposite is true.

2020 can't come soon enough.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Trump basically turns politics into a dumb reality tv show. He constantly contradicts himself, even during the same interview, because only the image matters, not the beliefs or the policies, assuming he has any.

Unlike reality tv shows, politics has consequences and affects our lives. Anyone who judges Trump on the (throwaway) stuff he says automatically loses. You have to judge what he is doing. A good chunk of what he says is noise to distract you from focusing on policies.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

why would anyone consider letting Russia in? Their economy is garbage, they do not make anything and all they do is annoy the rest of the world...

2 ( +3 / -1 )

As the most successful and free country in the history of humankind on the Earth, and with a line at the southern boarder of people wanting to get in that can wrap the globe ad infinitum, of course the other countries should aspire to be more like America.

And that's the great paradox of Trump-world - they say things like this yet support a President that wants to make America more like Russia....

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Same idiot different day. Don't be "like the US" in it's present state. This man lacks wisdom.... but what else is new of a known fool?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Yeah ... "be more like the U.S. "

Highest murder rate of any industrialized country.

Highest rate of incarceration in the world.

Highest rate of obesity among industrialized nations.

Cruelest refugee detention policies in the free world.

Led by a greedy, dishonest, child-like, malignant narcissist.

Yeah ... "be more like the U.S. "

3 ( +4 / -1 )

why would anyone consider letting Russia in?

Because Diaper Donny owes Putin big time.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

2020 can't come soon enough.

It sure can't. Not only is Trump The Chosen One, he's going to chosen again in 2020.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

excuse me. EU - greatest economy in the world. 'nough said.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

We'd rather not be like the US,

We definitely don’t want to be like Europe!

thanks all the same. Did anyone read his comments about Kashmir the other day?

And?

Or attacking ally Denmark, whilst pimping for international despot and destabilizer Putin?

He snubbed her, I was like...”wow!” Lol

Quite shocking; as in, he hasn't got a clue.

Apparently, he does or everyone wouldn’t get so teed off.

-8 ( +0 / -8 )

And that's the great paradox of Trump-world - they say things like this yet support a President that wants to make America more like Russia....

No, we have money, they don’t.

-9 ( +0 / -9 )

No, we have money, they don’t.

Looking at the budget deficit, neither do you.

And if Donny releases his tax returns we will figure out whether he has any money.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Looking at the budget deficit, neither do you.

I personally do, the country does, so as long as consumer spending is up, wages are up and the job market is hemorrhaging jobs the way it has been, the Democrats will have a zero chance on making any case about the economy if that is their idiotic plan for trying to take on this President.

And if Donny releases his tax returns we will figure out whether he has any money.

Well, of course he has money, more than all of us on JT put together.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Looking at the budget deficit, neither do you.

I personally do,

You used to be furious about budget deficits in the days when you were a fiscal conservative.

Obama bankrupting the country and the country living beyond its means.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Well, of course he has money, more than all of us on JT put together.

Unless you are his personal accountant you cannot know that, but then Diapers Donny's followers will believe anything he says.

I personally do, the country does,

Good for you, but the country sure doesn't.

job market is hemorrhaging jobs the way it has been,

Well we'll, hemorrhaging jobs is never good news, but don't think you intended it to mean that.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Unless you are his personal accountant you cannot know that,

Nor can you make any counter argument he doesn’t.

but then Diapers Donny's followers will believe anything he says.

And the haters will never listen to any opposing viewpoints....well, so much for liberal so called tolerance.

Good for you, but the country sure doesn't.

The country does and their pocket books as well. Looks like another fruitful Christmas is on its way.

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/05/03/nonfarm-payrolls-april-2019.html

"The main story, when looking at today's report is that conditions remain quite strong and the odds of recession remain quite remote despite some of the clear challenges that we face," said Russell Price, chief economist at Ameriprise Financial.

https://edition.cnn.com/2019/07/26/economy/gdp-q2/index.html

Well we'll, hemorrhaging jobs is never good news,

It is when you can’t fill them.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Well, of course he has money, more than all of us on JT put together....Hes lead a life of ripping folk off and now ripping the people of America off

Hmmmm....besides repeating the same Ana Navarro garbage at the Cheesy News Network, What Else you have? Because no one is listening to the Trump insults, really! Lol

but his devoted supporters you know the ones that are in love with him cant see this...as the saying goes loves is blind.

If you say so.

You used to be furious about budget deficits in the days when you were a fiscal conservative.

Were?

Obama bankrupting the country and the country living beyond its means.

People sat on their money, another reason for stagnation of the economy and people holding on to their cash.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Nor can you make any counter argument he doesn’t.

I never did, try to keep up.

well, so much for liberal so called tolerance.

Well somebody's getting their diapers in a twist and it a'int the liberals.

It is when you can’t fill them.

Hemorrhaging jobs means losing jobs, shouldn't be difficult to figure that one out.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

You used to be furious about budget deficits in the days when you were a fiscal conservative.

Were?

Yes.

When Obama was spending, you were absolutely furious about deficit spending.

Now Trump is spending, you don’t mention deficit spending at all.

Some people are just transparently partisan and attack politicians they don’t like in any way they can. That can’t be you and so the only conclusion I can make is that you aren’t a fiscal conservative anymore.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

And that's the great paradox of Trump-world - they say things like this yet support a President that wants to make America more like Russia....

No, we have money, they don’t.

But they have a Russian asset in the White House....

It sure can't. Not only is Trump The Chosen One, he's going to chosen again in 2020.

Yep, chosen in 2015 and chosen again at the most recent Trump-Putin Summit where there was no US translator...

Trump - always the Kremlin's first choice...

2 ( +2 / -0 )

I never did, try to keep up.

You eluded to it, so lightly...

Well somebody's getting their diapers in a twist and it a'int the liberals.

But they’re the ones complaining, look at the news, the papers and on JT....

Hemorrhaging jobs means losing jobs,

Or the opposite, that’s my interpretation.

When Obama was spending, you were absolutely furious about deficit spending.

Entitlements, yes. Planned parenthood, yes.

Now Trump is spending, you don’t mention deficit spending at all.

I don’t like it, but I do like a powerful military and oh, by the way, now that consumer spending is finally up, wages are up, I’m more tolerant of the spending.

Some people are just transparently partisan

Some people are.

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

Readers, please stop bickering.

The hidden message of Uncle Trump is: Russia comes first, Putin is our boss!

2 ( +2 / -0 )

But they have a Russian asset in the White House....

I’ll have more flexibility after the election, Medvedev looked ecstatic, Russian missile defense shield, 2014 interfering our elections and not a word? Hmmmm..

"The meeting at Trump Tower with Russians was about adoptions...", "I believe Putin over my own Intel agencies", "Let Russia back into the G7"....

Trump - always the Kremlin's first choice...

Or Obama....

Naw, he didn't promise Putin a $10 million penthouse at Trump Tower Moscow...

3 ( +3 / -0 )

You eluded to it, so lightly..

I neither eluded anyone nor alluded to anything, lightly or strongly.

Or the opposite, that’s my interpretation.

For a so called Fox journalist, English definitely is not your strength.

But they’re the ones complaining, look at the news, the papers and on JT....

I can see Donny getting his diapers in a twist over the economy .
