For this, more than anything else, I despise Trump. The US could have been leading the world in renewables, instead of stoking the furnaces of hell.

America pulls out of a climate treaty that even its own authors admit will do little to prevent the end of the world in 12 years and , thanks to fracking, the US is still reducing CO2 emissions more than Europe. Win-win for America.

The United States, the world's largest historic greenhouse gas emitter

This year China is spewing out nearly twice the amount of C02 as the U.S. -

When Trump is gone we will join again. Just a temporary blip on the radar.

@SuperLib

It should be: "When Trump wins again, all libs should leave United States and move to Canada, or better yet, China".

-3 ( +5 / -8 )

And another one crossed off Putin's to-do list for his Poodle....

Let's see that's over 200 accomplishments for Russia since Jan 20 2017...

Yep, Trump sure keeps his promises...

I despise this president with every fiber of my being.

First order of business for the new POTUS needs to be to declare null & void EVERYTHING done by Orangey the Clown.

@CrazyJoe

Fortunately, not all Americans share your views, esp those who truly benefit from the economic prosperity that the Trump administration brings, and the sense of security that his administration strives for the American citizens. You would never acknowledge it though, like all the rest of the libs whose main agenda is to remove him regardless if his accomplishments. I'll have Trump as president of this country over and over again, over the likes of Obama, Pelosi, deBlasio, Biden, Hillary -- all of whom are ever ready to bankrupt this country and sacrifice its security.

princess row: It should be: "When Trump wins again, all libs should leave United States and move to Canada, or better yet, China".

Um, OK.

He is less popular now than he was when he didn’t win the popular vote last time, so don’t worry about us. How about you? Is Russia nice?

Ever study statistics, Serrano? The metric here is per capita output. Think: China has three times America's population but only twice total emisions. And they're trying to bring that down.

"The U.S. is proud of our record as a world leader in reducing all emissions

Lies Pompeo the neo-con tool for the defense industries, whose profits increase with each war waged to maintain the power and control of the oil industries.

Lies Pompeo as the Trump regime reduces environmental protections, allowing big oil and others to pollute even more. Why's a stretch of Louisiana where oil is king called Cancer Alley?

Hasn't BIG OIL done enough?

People including Trump who denies that the present climate change is human inflicted needs to read this article;

Scientists reveal how the fossil fuel industry misled the public about climate change

https://phys.org/news/2019-10-scientists-reveal-fossil-fuel-industry.html

The key points in the report are:

1.Internal corporate documents show that the fossil fuel industry has known about human-caused climate change for decades. Its response was to actively arrange and fund denial and disinformation to suppress action and protect its status quo business operations.

2.As the scientific consensus on climate change emerged and strengthened, the industry and its political allies attacked the consensus and exaggerated the uncertainties.

3.The fossil fuel industry offered no consistent alternative explanation for why the climate was changing—the goal was merely to undermine support for action.

4.The strategy, tactics, infrastructure, and rhetorical arguments and techniques used by fossil fuel interests to challenge the scientific evidence of climate change—including cherry picking, fake experts, and conspiracy theories—come straight out of the tobacco industry's playbook for delaying tobacco control.

5.Informing the public about how these arguments are deceptive not only begins to correct the misconceptions, but also will make it harder for future campaigns to use these misleading tactics to confuse the public.

It shows that humans can be fooled by the same trick twice.

On top;

Oil, gas giants spend 250 mn on EU lobbying: green groups

I am pretty sure Trump also got his fair share.

No, we won't.

And another one crossed off Putin's to-do list for his Poodle....

There was no Russian collusion. Mueller went out with a whimper, remember?

it's called Trump Derangement Syndrome.

I love this President to the core of my being. Thank God for this.

First order of business for the new POTUS needs to be to declare null & void EVERYTHING done by Orangey the Clown.

If the Democrats continue on this out of control power grab trip, 2024 won’t even be in the works. But thanks to McConnell, the Democrats will always have a bumpy road ahead.

After this stupid clown leave the white house, US will join the climate agreement for sure, this is just a temporary nightmare..

America pulls out of a climate treaty that even its own authors admit will do little to prevent the end of the world in 12 years and ,

America and different groups at the State-level have been fighting climate change as protest against the Trump administration. They already have their own agreements abroad!

thanks to fracking, the US is still reducing CO2 emissions more than Europe. Win-win for America.

Reducing emissions by trying to increase coal production? That doesn't make any sense.

Fracking causes other environmental damage much worse like earthquakes and polluting water aquifers.

Not only that but the pipeline that Pres. Obama stopped because of environment concerns and Trump allowed to be built is causing all kinds of environmental damage in the US and Canada.

Keystone Pipeline Leaks 383,000 Gallons of Oil in North Dakota

And it was being built with Russian steel manufactured in Canada and hurts our own industry.

What socialists? Can you get through a single post without using "socialists," "liberals," or "democrats"?

2 ( +3 / -1 )

The United States, the world's largest historic greenhouse gas emitter, would become the only country outside the accord, a decision President Donald Trump promised to boost U.S. oil, gas and coal industries.

And Putin cheers! More reduced influence and leadership by the US - a vacuum Russia will gladly step in to - just like Syria.

@Farmboy

Still on this popular vote, I see. 304 electoral college vote for Trump vs 227 for Clinton. That's not even close. America became a red country in 2016 for a reason. Dont kid yourself. Popularity will not being you a Democrat president as those votes will come largely from big populace, socialism-friendly CA and NY. The forefathers had foreseen the chaos that it would bring, hence the electoral college. Equal representation from all states, based on their size. Move on and smell the Rose's. And stop hating. Dems overused the hatred towards Trump that it doesn't have any weight anymore.

This year China is spewing out nearly twice the amount of C02 as the U.S. -

That link you posted shows per capita emissions for the US at 15.53 tons while only 6.59 tons for China. Also, some of those Chinese emissions are for goods exported to the US and other countries. Shouldn't the final consumer be considered as the cause of the emissions?
