Is that why he lost every single case he brought trying to overturn the election?

It's nice to see Dominion and Smartmatic lay the smack down on the lie peddlers. Fox, Newsmax, and AONN have already issued retractions. "The Kraken" lawyer has resorted to a nonsensical defense. Looks like Rudy is trying to get off on the technicality of jurisdiction.
Make them pay.

You really think that Giuliani can earn 1.3 billion dollars from "a few interviews"?!? That's adorable.

It’s ok, the last guy will be back in office by August after the SC examines all the evidence. Mike Lindell said so. Or maybe he’s been hitting the pipe again.

The above sounds like a recognition that Giulliani/Trump etal did in fact push big lieS. Cheers!

If found guilty, Giuliani bankrupt seems like a fitting, just, result. He needs to be disbarred too.
Liars, regardless of who they are, especially in positions of power with media voices, cause real damage. Hold them all accountable for lying. Make it so painful they are afraid of lying again in public forums. I'd be much happier if all govt announcements were read from pre-written statements, checked to be factual.
President Biden has lied a few times - sometimes he should know better, but most of the time they are clearly human mistakes. He's nothing like that last guy who couldn't tell the truth 90% of the time.
Wasn't Giuliani a respected Mayor at some point? When did he turn slimy? Was that just when he joined Trump or before?

I’m not sure which is funnier, that you believe Rudy has that kind of money or that a ‘stupid fine’ is sufficient for trying to undermine your democracy.

They only reason why he'd have to pay cash is because he peddled lies to try to steal an election. It's nice that you're confident in his ability to afford to pay cash for his crimes, but the crime itself might be something worth noting.

Hopefully these cases will go to the courts.
Trump and his media's big lies have done severe damage to the remaining bits of US democracy, much to the delight of anti-democracy movements around the globe.

I may have been reading biased media, but I've read the analysis of various lawyers in the US who specialize in defamation, and these lawsuits appear to be pretty solid. For the suit to succeed, wanton disregard for the truth has to be shown, and Dominion put a significant amount of effort into showing Trump and his cronies that what they were saying were lies, but Trump and cronies disregarded it, and kept on peddling the falsehoods.

Besides his many civil suits, Giuliani is under federal criminal investigation for campaign finance violations and illegally representing a foreign government....started under Trump's AG Bill Barr. His two pro-Russian Ukranian former business partners, Fruman and Parnas, are cooperating....oh my....
As far as playing the game, he certainly was played in the Borat movie... It looked like he was trying to play Matt Gaetz...
You say he should do an interview, will it be across from an adult bookstore like the previous one?

To be clear, if Rudy was paid $20,000 a day, as he reportedly tried to charge Trump, and worked for $20,000 a day every day without a day off, and never spent any of the money, it would take him over 17 years to earn $1.3bn.

Getting the case tossed on some technicality is really his only hope.

No, you guys are just angry that Giuliani is a lawyer, he knows how this game is played. Who wants to pay that kind of penalty, but if that happens, he can easily get a few interviews, pay the stupid fine and move on.
bass4funk
It might be painful, but Giuliani will be able to cough up the cash, no big deal.
Rudy should do a few TV interviews, should have the funds to pay in two weeks if it comes to that.
