Roger Stone is the man.
Chip Star
Roger Stone is the next Trump man to become a convicted felon.
Blacklabel
We didn’t go through all this last 2 years and pay Mueller’s team 35 million dollars to convict Roger Stone of lying.....to the Mueller investigation.
Chip Star
We have gone through the last two years and spent 35 million dollars to pursue justice, which includes prosecuting those stupid enough to lie to Mueller.
Trump's people clearly think they are the smartest people in the room so try to lie to Mueller. Mueller quickly disabused them of that notion when he requests indictments from an independent grand jury.
lincolnman
How appropriate Stone invokes a Kardashian - Stone, Trump, Kardashian - all no talent, creepy, grifters who became famous for subjecting us to their reality TV world.
Put Stone down as #38 in Mueller's list of Trump-related criminals hauled into the docket - with some "senior White House officials" close behind....
SuperLib
Just another Trump criminal buddy going to jail. I've lost count.
Aly Rustom
LOCK HIM UP!!!!
CrazyJoe
He is such a loudmouth, and gets such delight in his own yammering! Just like Ann Coulter, no one wants to hear the self-promotional ludicrous mouthings of this overengaged fool.
I really hope he does something to get his bond revoked a la Manafort.
PTownsend
While Trump was getting his supporters to shout 'Drain the Swamp!' along with him, he was filling it even further using thugs like Stone and Manafort.
Drain Trump's swamp!
Lock Stone - and all Trump's fellow thugs - up!
Get some Mueller!
Blacklabel
So if mueller investigation never existed, what crime would Roger Stone be in federal court accused of doing?
And why isn’t he accused of that crime by Mueller? Hmmm....
Haaa Nemui
Irrelevant. It does exist.
It's almost as if the Mueller investigation only has Mueller on the team.
Chip Star
Let's play the causation game! If there weren't reasonable suspicion that Trump and/or his people collided with Russia, we wouldn't need Mueller.
PTownsend
Excellent question. One of the best things about the Trump reign is seeing the intelligence agencies cracking down on traitorous activities, on DC (and NY) swamp and crime figures finally being called to account for their lifelong histories of shady and outright criminal activities in the US and 'abroad'.
Trump's Russia and organized crime ties the fillip to the investigations? Or were they just too obvious to ignore.
SuperLib
So many witches arrested they'll have to build a coven at the prison.*
The Dems are sending the House interview transcripts to Mueller. Should be a fun read to see if there are any lies there by Don Jr and Kushner. And now they are investing Trump's inaugural committee, including an email warning that they're screwed if they ever get audited.
Such a lovely group of human beings around Trump. Just outstanding people.

Trump adviser Stone: I'm not Kim Kardashian,
No, you're not. She's attractive...
However, you are both overpriveleged prima donnas..
don't need gag order
Beg to differ..
TheRat
.....who will flip next and turn on Trump.
You needed some help finishing that sentence Cla68.
SuperLib
They're all just such crooked losers.
Laguna
To be fair, Trump did promise to drain the swamp. He just didn't know that the swamp was him and his hangers-on.
Pukey2
Having seen how Ghouliani has conducted himself, I say go ahead, talk, talk, talk!
wtfjapan

No Mueller was put there to catch and arrest criminals, hes done a good job so far and has actually made the US taxpayer money. Hes not fininished yet.

LOL! I have been telling people this for weeks. Mueller is also a better businessman than Dump because he is turning a profit without screwing people over in the process.
Toasted Heretic
Yup. And The Man deserves a lengthy jail sentence.
Blacklabel
so what crime? All I got was that it’s “irrelevant”. Don’t you find a specific crime then charge someone?
What did he do?
Blacklabel
Nice deflections but nothing he did, other than supposedly lying to Mueller, is a crime. or you would be furiously typing it here and calling me stupid.
lincolnman
Yea, come on, lying under oath to a federal law enforcement officer - what the big deal? It's nothing, just ask Manafort, Gates, Papodapolous, Flynn, Cohen, now Stone, soon to be Don Jr and Jared....
Lying under oath - it's a Trump thing...just like the mob...
Silvafan
OH MY.........! Stone isn't the only person who should be worried!
Onion
Whats up with the Nixon pose?
Blacklabel
What crime did he lie about? You have nothing other than that.
Blacklabel
So Stone gets raided after CNN tipped off to be there. He now conveniently gets the same judge as manafort despire there bring 20 others who could have been “randomly” selected.
meanwhile 2 Dem racists and a sexual assaulted still happily employed in VA. If only these guys supported Trump they could get some of this “justice” Dems clamor for.
kazetsukai
Interesting that the title started with "Trump's Long Time Adviser:".
As a communications specialist aspiring to be a "writer" find that very interesting.
While it is true he was Trump's adviser, the article is about the gag order. By placing Trump ahead and in the picture automatically shifts the topic to Trump and the Mueller investigation and places less emphasis on the gag order, even if that was discussed in detail.
I must try that technique with some of my students and see what kind of effect that method and writing style has.
kazetsukai
Also noticed that the photo, which is very "telling" of not only Stone but also the author of the article. That photo was a week old and most controversial one at that. It definitely attracts attention and creates an "image" among all, both for and against. It definitely does not show the "current" state of mind of Stone facing a gag order.
That too is a technique I must try.
Haaa Nemui
But you are the one saying if there was no investigation there would have been no crime... a completely irrelevant statement for the simple fact that there is an investigation. Nobody is deflecting except you... as pointed out by your next off-topic statement
Don't get me wrong... I fully support investigations into people who have been accused of sexual assault... something which was opposed by a lot of you guys when it was Kavanaugh in question... but that's off topic too and not something to talk about in this thread.
Stone lied during the course of the investigation... that's a crime totally unrelated to what the investigation is about... but it is still a crime.
lincolnman
I hope you don't dispense legal advise to your friends.
If Stone went in and said "my name is Charles Stone" instead of Roger Stone, that's lying under oath - a crime.
Now, what was the subject that Stone was lying about? Come on, we all know the answer to that - RUSSIA...
That's what everyone in Trump World lies about when hauled in and put under oath - because they're all involved in collusion and they're trying to hide it.
But Mueller has been way ahead of them - and he's ahead of Donnie too - that's why he's wetting his pants...
Chip Star
When you lie to law enforcement, you don't get a pass if you aren't lying about a crime.
Chip Star
The issues in VA are not relevant to this article in any way, shape, or form.
The assault allegation are just that, allegations. Given the screeching we heard during a certain justice's confirmation hearings, you'd think the screechers would follow their own advice regarding the presumption of innocence and due process.
Blacklabel
No we are acting just as you did during Kavanaugh time. Except this time there is evidence the allegations are true in all 3 cases.
Meanwhile, “Russia” isn’t a crime either. Can anyone be more specific?
Mueller’s mandate wasn’t to find “crimes” against the mueller team that happened after he was appointed and only because of his appointment.
lincolnman
Evidence - where? And by the way, all Democrats have told him to step down. Name a Repub who said Kavanaugh shouldn't have been confirmed...
If you were talking to Russians, and you lie about it, you have committed a crime. Now, let's find out why you lied, as you are evidently covering up for something or SOMEONE...
Muller was impaneled to see if anyone colluded with Russia to influence our election - and when a parade of senior Trump officials have been brought in and interviewed about contacts with Russia, they all lied under oath.
Why when asked about Russia, did Manafort, Gates, Papadapolous, Flynn, and Cohen lie? Why did Trump, Don Jr and Jared lie and write a false memo saying the meeting with Russian at Trump Tower was about adoptions (when it actually about getting dirt on Hillary)?
We'll be waiting for your answer...
Haaa Nemui
And yet these crimes, and the quotes aren't needed because they are actually crimes, were basically from people who got too cocky and thought there was nothing he could do about it. You're trying to blame Mueller for them being stupid. That's ridiculous.
Blacklabel
Now have you really? So why has he not been indicted for the crime of “talking to Russians”?
SuperLib
I don’t think black really gets it.
Haaa Nemui
If you've been talking to ANYBODY, and you LIE about it under oath to try to impede an investigation, you have committed a crime.
SuperLib you are correct.
Ah_so
Because it isn't in itself a crime.
lincolnman
He still may be - as in conspiring with a foreign government to influence an election.
But he has bigger problems that that - just witness tampering carries a 20 year sentence....
But answer the question: Why when asked about Russia, did Manafort, Gates, Papadapolous, Flynn, Stone, and Cohen lie? Why did Trump, Don Jr and Jared lie and write a false memo saying the meeting with Russian at Trump Tower was about adoptions (when it actually about getting dirt on Hillary)?
Help us poor Liberals understand why your Dear Leader and his cronies can't tell the truth....
Blacklabel
Wasn’t indicted for that. Why?
lincolnman
We've tried to help you understand, you just don't want to get it....
So why not help us poor Liberals understand;
Blacklabel
he same reason that Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Brennan, Clapper, Clintons, Lynch, Holder, Obama and the VA Dems have lied . Because humans are not always truthful. Doesn’t mean there is a crime when someone lies.
so why can’t mueller find any crimes?
Chip Star
There is a crime when you lie under oath. Full stop. We can't explain this in any simpler terms. Failure to understand this is willful ignorance.
Strangerland
Humans lie for reasons. They have a motivation. What you have written is not a motivation, nor is it a reason why people lie. It's just a useless fact of humanity which doesn't answer the question.
So to ask again for the thousandth time:
Why when asked about Russia, did Manafort, Gates, Papadapolous, Flynn, Stone, and Cohen lie? Why did Trump, Don Jr and Jared lie and write a false memo saying the meeting with Russian at Trump Tower was about adoptions (when it actually about getting dirt on Hillary)?Help us poor Liberals understand why your Dear Leader and his cronies can't tell the truth....
lincolnman
This thread isn't about those folks - it's about Stone - stop dodging.
Why when asked about Russia, did Manafort, Gates, Papadapolous, Flynn, Stone, and Cohen lie? Why did Trump, Don Jr and Jared lie and write a false memo saying the meeting with Russians at Trump Tower was about adoptions (when it actually about getting dirt on Hillary)?
Either defend your Dear Leader or admit that you can't...
Blacklabel
Why did these people lie? That’s why Mueller was appointed, to link their reason for lying to undiscovered crimes. He failed.
Blacklabel
Give me 2 years, 17 lawyers and 35 million dollars and I can tell you why.
Otherwise I am pointing out that MANY people on your side have lied, even to Congress, with no consequences. yet Mueller is the only guy taking “lying” to felony status and raiding peoples homes over it. Why?
Strangerland
Once again, you do not answer the question. Seems a little strange that you avoid it so much. One would come to think that maybe you literally have no justifiable answer to the question, and are therefore doing your darndest to avoid it.
Please qualify how you have come to this determination. By what justification are you claiming that he has failed? Seeing as the investigation is still ongoing, to the rest of us there could not be any determination one way or the other as to whether he has been successful or failed, so you are obviously using a different definition of the word 'failed' than the dictionary term that the rest of us are using, so you need to tell us how you have redefined the term so that we can debate your point on the terms of what is actually happening, rather than trying to apply your redefinition of the world to the real-world situation that the rest of us are working within.
Strangerland
Hmm, I should have put a period or two in there. Would be nice to be able to edit our posts for a minute or so after posting.
Blacklabel
How would I know? But Mueller should know, go blame him.
Sure the investigation is ongoing but he is done with all people listed as liars, without indicting them for anything they lied about related to “muh Russia”. Or do you think he will start all over, go back to the first guy and indict them all again?
no collusion, conspiracy, hacking, theft, Money laundering, nothing....where is it and who did it?
Strangerland
And you don't care? For a guy who rails on about supposed injustices, unfairnesses, and improprieties, you don't think the question of why Trump and his team would lie about having met with Russians is important?
What would you speculate the reason to be? I mean, you always speculate when it's the democrats, so let's here your speculation on this issue.
How do you know he doesn't? This is like your claiming he has failed, you are obviously using different meanings for these words than the actual English meanings, so please give us your definition of these terms so we can understand what you are talking about.
Chip Star
Mueller wasn't appointed to find out why Trump's people lied. That makes no sense chronologically. These people lied to Mueller after Mueller was appointed. Accuracy is a huge issue for Trumpophiles.
lincolnman
Come on Trumpers, why the silence - same as on the other thread when we asked why the wall wasn't built for 2 years, why Trump hires illegal immigrants, and why he makes his clothing items in China...
Can't you come to your President's defense?
Serrano
the Russia probe
Any collusion yet?
Strangerland
Yes.
