Trump in his usual M.O. He should be thanking McConnell for not voting to convict. What a total DB.

Time to gas up the wahmbulance, it’s got a lot of miles to cover.

Reminds me of when Mao and Kruschev were enemies. Two opaque authoritarians who despise each other contending for leadership of their movement, one a dour but iron fisted statist and the other a ruthless revisionist. Like the earlier pair, Mr. McConnell and Mr. Trump richly deserve each other.

"Mitch is a dour, sullen and unsmiling political hack...

Truth-telling comes hard for Trump, but as the power struggle among Republicans heats up, Trump can be relied upon to spill lotsa unsavory beans. We can also assume that this unvarnished portrait of the Kentucky fixer is just a foretaste of the long and winding road of Trump's journey to accountability for his career of serial criminality as the truth is slowly squeezed out of him through the courts like toothpaste from a tube.

LOL! McConnell laid out in his speech after the trial how to get trump. Take him to real court. And the lawsuits have already began to roll in.

How many insurrectionists will continue to send money to his defense fund during a pandemic?

How many fund raising events and rallies will trump have that can be used as evidence in a real court of law?

How many lawyers will be willing to ruining their reputations for defending a known traitor and criminal when the fix is not in?

Are the lawyers going to risk being low-balled for their services or not paid at all?

Trump's right about McConnell. Whether Republican senators who side with McConnell win again remains to be seen.

Either way the Republican Party remains the party representing a minority of Americans.

It will be interesting to watch whether the Qanon/Proud Boy/Oath Keeper/anti-democracy/pro-authoritarian Trump faction prevails, or the country club/banker/anti-democracy, pro-authoritarian McConnel faction.

Welcome to the "Keeping Up with the Republicans" - can there be a more entertaining reality TV show?

Instead of Kim and Kourtney fighting, we have Donald and Mitch going at it...

Throw in Sidney Powell and The Kraken, Rudy and his runny hair dye, and The Q Shaman, and you have ratings gold...

What this does signal though is the formal declaration of civil war within the Repub Party - its on now; the GOP vs the GQP....

And the only winner is the Dems...

Yep. Biden is pleasantly uninteresting in the sense he doesn’t set off nuclear bombs of trash, conspiracies and stupidity trying to draw attention to himself.

The media misses Trump but he will eventually become irrelevant. Taylor Green’s unhinged conspiracy garbage is good for a headline these days but she lacks the punch of Trump.

They deserve each other. One moment, they're mad at the fat guy, the next they're all over him like a lovesick puppy. You don't know which face they'll put on tomorrow.

What's the best way to become Rafael Eduardo Cruz's friend?

Say his wife is ugly and his dad killed JFK. He'll even defend you and make calls on your behalf. What a strange world!

Agreed. Whack-a-mole does not work. Stop feeding oxygen to the one who shall not be named.

Which makes it surprising that anyone who professes to be a conservative would be pleased at the prospect of Trump splitting the Republican Party. It's not as if all 70 million or so Americans who voted for him are going to stick with him and he's not going to widen his base very much by preaching to the converted and p***ing off everyone else.

Trump: "Mitch is a dour, sullen and unsmiling political hack, and if Republican senators are going to stay with him, they will not win again,"

McConnell: "The people who stormed this building believed they were acting on the wishes and instructions of their president. Former President Trump's actions that preceded the riot were a disgraceful dereliction of duty. Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day."

Reminds me of 2016....

Graham: "Donald Trump is a religious, xenophobic bigot, a disgrace, a nut-job"....

Cruz: "Donald, you're a sniveling coward, a pathological lair, and a serial philanderer"...

Just goes to show Repubs never mean anything they say...

I understand Trump is having a hard time getting any lawyers to help defend him against all these upcoming criminal and civil trials....but he is getting some legal advice;

Sidney Powell said she has almost tracked down Hugo Chavez and should have him deposed next week...

Lin Wood suggested just "staying home" - don't even show up at the trial, it's rigged - that will show them...

The Q Shaman has been chanting non-stop to the Q Gods for victory...

Any timeline for your prediction? As I see here and mass media after a month out of office, he is still the talk of the town.

Former President Donald Trump lashed out at Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Tuesday, signaling a growing feud between the two most senior Republican voices after the party lost the White House and control of the Senate.

Hopefully the two will tear the Republican party to shreds, never to return again. Democrats are already a center-right party with the notable exceptions of their small progressive wing.

Because...he was impeached, maybe? It's true we didn't hear much about Carter, Bush Sr., Clinton, Bush Jr. or Obama in the few months after they left office but on the other hand... None of them were impeached in the last week of their presidency.

Mike Pence (he of 'hang Mike Pence' fame) has been rumored to run for president in 2024. By then will he have forgiven his Trump? Will the Trump/Qanon/Proud Boy faction forgive him, welcome him back as one of theirs again? Will the McConnell faction see Pence having appeal beyond the world of the religious right? His running could further split the R's.

And the best part is we don’t have to pick a side! They’re both jerks. We can just get some popcorn and watch them tear each other apart.
