Given Trump's poor understanding of history and the reality that he doesn't read I seriously question his knowledge of how the disputes started and the nations that started the disputes (i.e. the Soviet Union, China, the US plus its UN backed allies, while ignoring Japan's occupation which led to the 'disputes') and those nations that have kept the disputes going (i.e. China, the Soviet Union/Russian Federation, US).
In a follow-the money-world the two nations set to gain the most in North Korea are China and Russia. Because Trump cares primarily for increasing his wealth - and paying off 'loans' - while in the White House, I wonder what all Xi and Putin have promised the Trump $yndicate, including Ivanka, Inc and the trump brand name, if they continue to botch this international dispute. Plus the others.

Odd. I was told that part of the reason why Obama's deal with Iran was so "disastrous" was because it didn't stop their ballistic missile program. Yet here is NK launching ballistic missiles, even after UNSC resolutions. And here's Trump smiling and giving them the green light.

Trump's main achievement has been to strengthen Kim Jong Un's grip on North Korea.
He's had two and half years. He's got five and a half years left. Let's see what happens. Too bad Obama couldn't make any progress whatsoever in eight years. Bush before him either. And let's not forget Billy Boy's failed deal before him.

Tell this to the people living in Akita Prefecture where parts from missile tests after November 17, 2017 have fallen into the sea near them. How many of them would agree with you?
Tell this to the people in Hokkaido and others who live on the Japan Sea side of Honshu that because no missiles have flown over them (just near them), that there is nothing to worry about.

Well I'm seeing a total of 2 launches over Japan in 8 years under Obama and 3 so far after "only 2.5 years" of Trump. And I'm sure the Japanese are ecstatic about Trump's green light on ballistic missile testing in the face of UNSC resolutions.
