Trump did not make clear to what he was referring, but his comments seemed to be a further suggestion that military action was on his mind.

Suggestion? More like an assumption. One can never assume anything when Trump talks. He's the kind of person who makes wishes and then expects everyone beneath him to make it reality. And when it doesn't come to reality he pouts and cries like a little baby!

Hes just tweeting for the sake of attention. Give him some headlines then move on.

When a cat sees a mouse, it'll quietly hunker down, lower its profile, remain silent and strike without warning.

When a cat sees a dog, it's lift its back, maximize its profile, show its teeth and make various intimidating noises.

That's a nice analogy.... Is NK a mouse or a dog... Or another cat?

No one is telling the moronic media to take the bait, they just never cease to amaze me, really.

It seems this is meant to back up the new sanctions but I do hope the administration gives them a chance to work first.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

This man-child is insane. Generals.. stop this mad child.

Trump running his mouth off as usual...he doesn't care about an actual working solution to the North Korean situation that he exacerbated; he just wants to strut and boast about the "previous administrations" so-called "failures" and how he alone is going to fix this. He's so full of it, in every sphere, just totally full of pure BS. Amazing to me that anyone could have voted for this grifter and fraud.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Any other previous President and words like these would be cause for serious concern. But coming from Trump, there is no credibility. And even if there were, there's no assurance that he won't flip flop in the next few tweets.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Trump can't flip without it being clear what he was talking about in the first place. Certainly sanctions haven't been effective but this could be referring to pressure from the Chinese being effective. Like he said...we should find out soon.

I am with Crazy Joe on this. Trump is the wrong person to be Commander and Chief of the US Armed forces and he should not be taken lightly at all. Lives are on the line here and Trump just mouths off and seems to want to bomb a country that is just doing missile tests. Why not sanction the country NK is buying the missiles from? They are not making ICBM's in NK surely. Russia needs to stop supplying NK, but this will never happen because NK and Trump is playing right into Putin's hands.

Agreed. The media should ignore his policy statements via twitter, as you said.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Trump is not a man to ignore. He has too much power. He can order the destruction of any country on this planet and it will be carried out not ignored. No country is immune either.... Trump may think NK is easy prey but also a potential threat. Which may give him license to act first in a violent manner. My hope is that Trump and Kim Jong Un both wake up to the game Putin is playing on them. Putin says we are all asleep when it comes to nuclear and a nuclear war is in the offing between the US and NK

It is a unique situation. His outbursts fall into 3 basic categories: trash, stupidity and showboating.

It is amazing that the words of the world's most powerful politician are generally ignored.

It's like listening to a senile old relative or a compulsive liar.

If I were in J Govt I would vote not to share secrets with the US. Because the US cyber defense has been compromised by Russia as per WSJ. The US Govt has been hacked and so has 50 nuclear power plants in the US. Govt Intel is not secure, NK may be able to obtain US intel via Russia

1 ( +1 / -0 )

It certainly is true that NK has been scamming the US and other Western countries for decades to the tune of billions in payoffs.

No, it’s just he and other Pentagon officials see the reality and that is NK has never kept ANY of its promises for the 25 years and has since then inched closer to having a fully functional Nuke and if continue down this road without any concessions whatsoever, they will stall and buy more time and that’s what they need to perfect their accuracy rate and then what? It’ll be too late for anything, even if the common screamers on he outside don’t get it, the Pentagon and these Generals do.

and how he alone is going to fix this. He's so full of it, in every sphere, just totally full of pure BS. Amazing to me that anyone could have voted for this grifter and fraud.

Yeah, the only people that are full of it is the media and the loons in Hollyweird for quaking about something and they don’t know anything, but they sure do try to get them ratings up. Despicable

His resignation.

If the cyber defense of the US Govt can be hacked by Russia. Armed Missile guidance systems could also be vulnerable to hacking and manipulation. Things could get really ugly if this should happen during a battle.

UtrackToday 09:03 am . Why not sanction the country NK is buying the missiles from? They are not making ICBM's in NK surely.

Yes they are. They're even selling missile technology to Iran.

How many of you folks are willing to send your kids to die for Donnie The Draft Dodgers little tantrum? Do you realize this sort of war won't be fought by the all-volunteer military? It would require reinstatement of the military draft - like the one Trump dodged to get out of his Vietnam commitment.

It ill be a bloody, extended, and horrific war unlike anything we know of today. The conflict would involve the use of nuclear, chemical, biological, and conventional weapons. It would be very likely to include very large scale terror attacks on U.S. territories, including the possible use of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons on U.S. soil.

Do you trust a mentally unstable, poorly informed, wildly dishonest, carnival barker who is facing investigation for collusion with the enemy with the lives of your children? Do you think any of the Trump kids will suffer in that war? Can you visualize your child being placed in a body bag after suffering a horrible death due to Donnie Boy's childish behavior? Think and call the Republicans in our Congress.

I thought our military was all voluntary and remember when Bill dodged the draft as well. Those darn hippies!

Do you realize this sort of war won't be fought by the all-volunteer military? It would require reinstatement of the military draft - like the one Trump dodged to get out of his Vietnam commitment.

Huh!?

It ill be a bloody, extended, and horrific war unlike anything we know of today. The conflict would involve the use of nuclear, chemical, biological, and conventional weapons. It would be very likely to include very large scale terror attacks on U.S. territories, including the possible use of nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons on U.S. soil.

So if we do the typical liberal Obama appeasement and capitulation strategy and let Kim have his nukes and all of a sudden he threatens us, then what? Now we are in a worse situation and looking an even uglier war on the horizon.

Do you trust a mentally unstable, poorly informed, wildly dishonest, carnival barker who is facing investigation for collusion with the enemy with the lives of your children?

Even with all the name calling and I had a very colorful vocabulary for the last president, it’s irrelevant, as he’s the president and will make the final decision. Most soldier I personally know want this guy gone. But there’s always another side that might be content with him in power, although I don’t think there aren’t so many.

Do you think any of the Trump kids will suffer in that war?

What a stupid argument, none of the previous presidents children went off to war and what is the job of a soldier? Why do you enlist in the first place. Don’t make weak arguments, come on now.

Can you visualize your child being placed in a body bag after suffering a horrible death due to Donnie Boy's childish behavior? Think and call the Republicans in our Congress.

Gee, why even have a military in the first place? Libs think the military is there to shake hands with people and build bridges. Thank god, the left is not in charge this time around!

Crazy Joe is right and I will add proof to my statement from the information warfare expert Molly Mc Kew. She testified before the US Senate for the Helsinki Comm. She shares news Americans need to know about on twitter www.twitter.com/mollymckew Like the people in the Presidents Cabinet who receive money from Russia there were 4 now only the Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway remains.

whats name of that band that sung a song..."its the end of the world as we know it"?

trump should study...nuclear winter, ICBMs, wind drifts from korea to america and 70 subs.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

OssanAmerica those ICBM's you say NK is selling to Iran must be coming via Russia. I remember NK failed satelite launch where that huge old fashion rocket just toppled over that was just 5 or 6 years ago. No way they advanced to manufacturing ICBM's without help. The parts and casing have to come from somewhere and I doubt the US. Did not Putin just sign a 400 billion dollar oil and weapons deal with the Saudi King?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Oh you see the headline "Kim Jong Un Praises Nuclear Program Promotes Sister to Center of Power" Yeah real high tech..... Mayhap she is a Nuclear Scientist..... Yeah Right

0 ( +0 / -0 )

So if we do the typical liberal Obama appeasement and capitulation strategy and let Kim have his nukes and all of a sudden he threatens us, then what? Now we are in a worse situation and looking an even uglier war on the horizon.

There was no appeasement. Kim is not going to do anything rash but his counterpart; Trump, is sure doing his best to goad him.

You've previously wished that US coastal cities would be nuked, so I'm not sure where your overall "concern" is coming from.

Most soldier I personally know want this guy gone.

Agree with you there. Trump has managed to alienate even the US army. Or at the very least, divide it - and that includes top to bottom ranking officers.

I think the highly ranked position of President of the United States of America should warrant random drug testing of the holder of said position. To not do so seems irresponsible to me. Flight attendants even receive random drug testing for goodness sake and if they fail the drug test they lose their jobs as should the POTUS.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

I remember NK failed satelite launch where that huge old fashion rocket just toppled over that was just 5 or 6 years ago. No way they advanced to manufacturing ICBM's without help.

There is obviously extensive military cooperation both ways. North Korea needs the hard cash and the Iranian ballistic missile launched a few weeks ago are modified North Korean in construction and design.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Trump does have a point though, nothing in the past has deterred NK from continuing to develop their nuke program and it's completely unacceptable for them to exist with the capability to wipe out any nation on Earth, so something has to change

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Lizz if anything NK needs fuel of which they are getting from Russia despite sanctions. NK prints its own cash and uses forced labor to manufacture made in China products. China closed its bordertown factories because of the sanctions against NK which leaves Russia

0 ( +0 / -0 )

bass: appeasement and capitulation strategy

What does Trump's strategy with Russia have to do with North Korea?

And do you consider non appeasement to be sending out tough talking Twitter messages? Because it hasn't stopped NK from doing anything. In fact, they've increased the hostility and missile launches since Trump came to power.

Is that part of the plan?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Russia has placed soldiers at the border it shares with NK. Supposedly to prevent defectors from crossing into Russia "Why Now"??? Putin has also stated publically he does not want a regime change in NK. So Putin's Russia may fight for NK.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

I'm not sure what you are accusing Putin of but a lot of the ICBM engine technology and perhaps nuclear material probably came via the black market smuggled from Russia or old USSR states.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Trump tweets many messages all day long. If medias ignore, he tweets more.

Only nice message he tweeted was toward Las Vegas massacre victims. Media was too busy that they ignored him. He was back to oppose the Secretary of States who convinced China to convince N. Korea to stop shooting nuclear equipped ICBM against USA.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

@Lizz: Because sanctions and Obama firmed treaty, Iran has been depending on N. Korean advanced Technology. Not smuggling. Also, ICBM is not engine. The country does not need Russian materials. Uranium is from Mongooooolia. It has oil and natural resources.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

In the meantime Trump has signed weapons deals worth millions with Japan, Australia and South Korea.

The Iran issue will bring in a lot of $ as well from Saudi Arabia.

Of course the US would make a lot more with new wars. WWII gave the US a much needed economy boost and now with a staggering 21 trillions in debt God knows what the US is willing to do.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Trump has been too busy to destroy whatever Obama accomplished. He may be believing Japan will attack N. Korea for him.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

@Lizz: once upon a time, when Americans had attitude like you. Japan is technologically inferior. Be realistic. N. Korea is the country that teach Iran Nuclear technology.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Agree with you there. Trump has managed to alienate even the US army. Or at the very least, divide it - and that includes top to bottom ranking officers.

They’re not divided, not as far as military action is concerned, word wise may be a little different, but that happens in EVERY administration, so nothing new here, move on...
