Illegal or not, people are not thinking about the consequences of removing millions of people from their country.

No chance it will ever be done anyway. Trump just has to make people think he's working somehow.

Along with all the construction, plumbing, electrical, farming crop pickers the US will lose $11.9 BILLION in taxes alone from illegal immigrants,

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/economy/making-sense/4-myths-about-how-immigrants-affect-the-u-s-economy

To our economy illegal immigrants do not cost the US 200 to 250 Billion as Trump keeps spouting, it's fake news. It's only around 20 Billion but it more than evens out when they bring $54 BILLION into our everyday economy. And if he could send 'Millions' out in just a few days we would lose all that money very quickly and it would cause our economy to sink.

This is all about skin color, that's all it is. The Republican's used to be the party of small government, taking care of American's in their retirement years and education. We spend less on education then we spend on war now days, billions less. Republican's only care about babies if they are still in the womb, (and that's just to make the Evangelical's happy) because once they are born Republican's have stopped almost all the healthcare and programs for newborns and toddlers. They have become the party of do the least possible for the American people but line their pockets with more money than they need.

Trump will fail. He always fails.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

No matter how much Trump plays to his redneck base, his approval numbers never go over 40 percent.

2 ( +10 / -8 )

Canada does perfectly well without them.

Without low paying jobs or without the undocumented immigrants that often work those low paying jobs?

2 ( +5 / -3 )

I have more of a problem with invading Chinese and Russian megarich buying up property and leaving it empty in major US cities than with hard working Mexicans.

Agreed.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

How many of the 12 million illegals voted in the last election?

Not enough, apparently.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Wow! He's gone nuts. No president ever has been able to do this. I speculate that he saw Germany overrun and wants to avoid that.

I suspect that it's because no other president was dumb enough to do it. By removing all the illegal immigrants all the low paying jobs that make America work will become empty. Construction will be absolutely the hardest hit, followed by plumbing etc etc. All those jobs that Americans think are below them? Yeah, wanna take a guess at who actually does those?

Good on him, the Presidents job is to protect America from threats - illegal immigrants are one of them

Illegal immigrants are one of the foundations of the American way of life. They aren't anymore a threat to America than your commander in idiocy.

He has not gone nuts. Aboit time a President was able to do this. I speculate he sees how Japan eals with illegal immigrants, and has learnt from this.

I HIGHLY doubt this has anything to do with Japan.

No, in this case, the president's job is prioritizing minor threats from powerless people fleeing unrest and etreme poverty, even though they by and large end up doing jobs Americas are too lazy or entitled to do themselves.

By embracing this "job," however, he can effectively distract his supporters' (and the media's) attention from the greatest threat to America--malefactors of great wealth sucking up all economic gains. You know, the threat posed by those holding all the power and capital.

This is why democrats need to elect a populist of their own who reveal this narrative for what it is, an enormous distraction from what's really ailing the country.

From an actual headline in the NYT the other day:

"Wall Street Donors Are Swooning for Mayor Pete. (They Like Biden & Harris too)" It goes on to report, breathlessly, that these 3 candidates are generating the most buzz among Wall Street's biggest donors.

Don't underestimate Democrats capacity to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

really no one understand whats that guy think of LUL

I predict that the left wing US courts will find a way to stop Trump from enforcing our immigration laws. They care more about their liberal ideology and illegals - and the democrats - than they do about lawful US citizens or the Constitution.

Love how the Trumpophiles cheer this without having any clue how it will be done. Too funny.

It’s about time!

Each year, roughly four million young Americans join the workforce after graduating from high school or university.

But the federal government then imports about 1.1 million legal immigrants and refreshes a resident population of roughly 1.5 million white-collar visa workers including approximately one million H-1B workers and approximately 500,000 blue-collar visa workers.

The government also prints out more than one million work permits for foreigners, tolerates about eight million illegal workers, and does not punish companies for employing the hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants who sneak across the border or overstay their legal visas each year.

This policy of inflating the labor supply boosts economic growth for investors because it ensures that employers do not have to compete for American workers by offering higher wages and better working conditions.

This policy of flooding the market with cheap, foreign, white-collar graduates and blue-collar labor also shifts enormous wealth from young employees towards older investors, even as it also widens wealth gaps, reduces high-tech investment, increases state and local tax burdens, and hurts children’s schools and college educations. It also pushes Americans away from high-tech careers and sidelines millions of marginalized Americans, including many who are now struggling with fentanyl addictions. The labor policy also moves business investment and wealth from the heartland to the coastal cities, explodes rents and housing costs, shrivels real estate values in the Midwest, and rewards investors for creating low-tech, labor-intensive workplaces.

And also, a new study has revealed that the majority of the more than 1.5 million foreign nationals entering the country every year use about 57 percent more food stamps than the average native born American household.

Overall, immigrant households consume 33 percent more cash welfare than American citizen households and 44 percent more in Medicaid dollars. This straining of public services by a booming 44 million foreign born population translates to the average immigrant household costing American taxpayers $6,234 in federal welfare.

The welfare use of legal and illegal immigrants has largely been buried in news that President Trump’s administration is looking to discourage foreign nationals immigrating to the U.S. legally from using taxpayer-funded welfare.

This just isn't possible. I doubt they can do 100K. The laws require due process and that is slow.

To make a dent in the illegal population, some fundamental things need to change, encouragement to leave is required.

entering the US illegally is currently a misdemeanor for a small fine. Make that a felony with a huge annual fine, so the longer someone is in-country, the larger the fine.

Make overstaying fine. $5K to start. Capped at $500K.

Change asylum laws so you have 30 days from entry to file, but only if you entered the country legally and are still legally inside. Administrative deportation for all others in the country without a valid, current, visa.

Go after all employers for hiring people who do not have the right to work in the USA. Fine should be 2x their annualized salary for each offense. Company owners/boards/CEO/Presidents should have mandatory jail time for systematic violations.

End allowing minors to enter the country without a legal guardian present WITH PROOF. If the guardian is deported for any reason, the child goes too.

The fines need to be $10K to start. Until the fine is paid, that person and immediate family are not allowed back into the USA.

For people who have made a life in the USA and any kids recently brought who are under 12 yrs old, a path to permanent residency is needed. That annual fine for being in the USA seems like the answer. Get signed up. Get on a payment plan, similar to a mortgage for each individual involved. After all, the US is driven by capitalism. Have those fines help pay for immigration, border, stuff.

If seasonable worker visas is deemed necessary. Do that. During the off-season, it is expected the workers would return home, to their families.

No way can ICE round up 50K people and deport them. Just not possible and I wouldn't want that with the current laws. The current laws matter. Change them.

How many of the 12 million illegals voted in the last election?

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Good.

-3 ( +9 / -12 )

Yep if all the illegals are physically deported they can’t vote. That’s the best way to protect the election.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

It is of course logistically impossible to do it at once, but it is high time somebody brought the topic up. Continuously arguing that we have to accept increasing illegal immigration because there is too much illegal immigration is absurd. Try to make that argument in Japan.... Japan can not deport illegals because there are too many illegals? Seriously?

-4 ( +5 / -9 )

Yep I suspect he will only remove a million not millionS and liberals will claim he failed. To me if he removed even one illegal that’s success,

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Love how liberals said illegal immigrants were not a problem but now claim there are too many of them to actually be removed.

Love how the Trumpophiles cheer this without having any clue how it will be done. Too funny.

Love how the Trump haters mock this without having any clue how wrong they are.
