This too will be rejected by the courts. TrumpGov has still failed to reunite more than 1000 children illegally taken from their parents and caregivers at the border, and is now claiming no records exist that would allow them to do so. Sessions and the heads of DHS and ICE should be jailed until the last family has been reunited.

Certainly nobody is that politicized as to believe returning a child to their abuser, just to be anti-Trump.

Trump snatched the children in the first place. It's his fault, and it looks like we might have more little Americans if this is delayed too long. Free green cards all over again after Reagan's mass amnesty. Trump is a mean old orange man.

Hundreds of migrant children remain in custody despite Trump administration claims it met court ordered deadline

And those remaining in custody are there because

a) not the parents

b) Abuse or criminal history of the adults

c) illness of the child or the adults

d) child wasn't detained with any adult i.e. the adults left the kid behind to get away

Would you want the children handed over to people like that without full due diligence? Certainly nobody is that politicized as to believe returning a child to their abuser, just to be anti-Trump.

He might want to spend time spewdong up reuniting children with their parents.

Where were you when Obama did EXACTLY the same thing.

WRONG!

I see no mention in FOX news about this. Of course it might have been done but not in a cruel fashion like Trump does. It might have happened before Trump but only if the child was in danger from one of the parents, for example. Trump just separated this kids because he's a mean old orange man. And now some of these kids can't be reunited. It means instant green cards, with thanks to Trump

It's time for a "zero tolerance" for Trump's treason and his naked disregard of our Constitution. Kidnapping those children and placing them in concentration camps is an impeachable offense and il Douche shall be made to stand trial for his crimes against humanity.

”Concentration camps”? If they’re held illegally any longer in these nauseating conditions they’ll become death camps more likely. American Dachaus. Why? Because they’re brown, don’t speak English and want to be free. Trump is an international criminal.

On one hand Sessions is kind if enigmatic, but on the other hand, I do love how he is handling this. Keep up the good work.

The 6th Amendment to the US Constitution:

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.

The right to a speedy trial is part of the Bill of Rights. Delays are an abuse of those rights.

Funny thing ... legal immigrants don't need a trial, it is only the illegal immigrants who do.

Left out the word “illegal” in the article headline.

Are you sure about that?

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Jeff Sessions is a warped human being. HIs views on immigration are not based on constructive application of law. They're based on a view that America is a nation of white people. Christian people. Conservative people. Southern people. Alabamans like him.

Sessions was one of the driving forces behind the rise of Trump. It was, and is, a force of bigotry.

Of course he wants to expedite them -- he doesn't want to get caught while forcing people IN trials out of the nation and get threatened with contempt of court again.

Um how could we be anywhere for a fictitious event?

Shouldn't that be "Legal Immigrants are the backbone of many nations.?"

Not necessarily. Look at illegal Mexican immigrants in the US - they have provided cheap labour doing things Americans aren’t willing to do. They have helped build America to what it is today.

Sessions, the vile man, is trying to get back into his master's good books - so more people who's only crime it is to seek a better life will end up suffering.

Immigrants are the backbone of many nations. We contribute, help build and add to the economy.

Not sure what the topic has to do with Japan but I imagine the many thousands of immigrants here have come to seek a better life as well. We're here to stay, so those who would denigrate us will have to get used to our presence in this magnificent land.
