Oh, what fun we'll have watching Trumpophiles disparage our institutions to defend Donny!

1 ( +6 / -5 )

Schiff did an excellent job with this. Very proud of him.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

If the amoral and unethical current occupant of the White House had scruples, he would have resigned and spared the United States of America the mess he has caused.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

If Ukraine is found to have meddled in the election, than by all means, drag out the investigation further.

If Ukraine had meddled in the election, we'd already know about it because our intelligence agencies would have told us when they determined it was Russia. But, that doesn't help conspiracy theory pushing Trumpophiles defend Donny's corruption, does it?

7 ( +9 / -2 )

superlib, proud of Schiff? My my.

-8 ( +1 / -9 )

Chairman Schiff has been nothing less than brilliant in these hearings. He has held the proceedings with a consistent and firm hand. But that is not all,

He took key moments - his opening statements and the closing of each witness testimony to summarize key points. This brought gravitas and sense so that the record was clear. Bravo!

The Party of Trump has ceded all claims to being the party of law and order, the military, fiscal responsibility, and national security. Now they just do anything and everything to remain in power. No true American, who values the ideals and principles that the nation was founded on, should ever vote Republican again.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

Yes Crazy Joe!! Exactly!!: The Party of Trump has ceded all claims to being the party of law and order, the military, fiscal responsibility, and national security. Now they just do anything and everything to remain in power. No true American, who values the ideals and principles that the nation was founded on, should ever vote Republican again.

100% agreed. The Republican and Trump base who lie on the impeachment issue, and believe it untrue, in spite of all the testimony exposing the president as doing a quid pro quo with Ukraine should face themselves in the mirror, to their families and their faith. Quit lying, Trumpets. If you've ever heard a 4 year old lie, and know they did eat the cookies they weren't supposed to, that's you. Quit being so juvenile, just stop it, and do the right thing.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Nunes and Stefanik did an excellent job with this. Very proud of them.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

superlib, proud of Schiff? My my.

Yep. His witnesses were credible and compelling. A great selection of true patriots. Trump's bootlickers were reduced to "All is well! Nothing to see here! Hunter Biden!"

They didn't have a leg to stand on and they didn't stand a chance. And it looks like Nunes is going to be investigated - again - on possible ethics violations. If he did go to Ukraine he's going to be in a world of hurt.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Nunes is being investigated for doing essentially the same as what Trump is charged with: spending American tax dollars for political gain. He probably won't go to jail, but his career is over.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

Chip, Crazy, SuperL,

I guess there will always be those who are suckers for show trials and kangaroo courts.

I'll give Schiff and co credit for something though - the landslide victory of Donald Trump next year. Well done!

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Yep. His witnesses were credible and compelling.

Yeah....

“ I presume”

“ I believe”

“ I think”

“ I feel”

“ I assumed”

“ I thought “

Compelling and riveting.

A great selection of true patriots.

Can’t wait for the GOP and true patriots to speak out and call their own witnesses in the Senate hearings.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

I'll give Schiff and co credit for something though - the landslide victory of Donald Trump next year. Well done!

Yup! Trump couldn’t have a better Christmas! He should give Schiff a Christmas gift.

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

Heck, bass, even you think he abused his power. Your team just can't take the hit is all.

6 ( +8 / -2 )

Heck, bass, even you think he abused his power. Your team just can't take the hit is all.

Lol, what are you talking about? I think the President made a poor judgement, but does it rise to the level of an impeachable offense, absolutely not. But if you Dems want to make this the standard, then when there’s a Democrat President in the WH should Dems get their act together (take a miracle...) then the GOP could impeach that President as well for whatever BS reason. Good to know.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

I'm reminded of the term "All The President's Men" - as in all of Trump's hand-picked team members marched up to the Hill and said it was all a shakedown...

Sondland - Trump's own selection for EU Ambassador: It was a "quid-pro-quo"..."everyone was in the loop"

Taylor - Trump and Pompeo's pic Ukraine Amdassador: the aid "was conditioned on"....

Volker and Kent - both Trump picks and Repub-called witnesses: The Biden story is "not credible"...

It was that way all two weeks - Trump's own people testifying he and Rudy were strong arming Ukraine, and that for other than the Biden investigation, they didn't give a ____ about the country.

And the Repubs looked pathetic - ranting and raving, acting like two-year olds.

Now we find out Devon Nunes was over in Ukraine running his own shakedown. And there are tapes and videos...

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/trump-impeachment-inquiry/giuliani-associate-willing-testify-nunes-met-ex-ukranian-official-attorney-n1090081

Ambulance needed at the White House!

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Schiff staff went to Ukraine after meeting with the whistleblower and before the complaint was completed and released.

Narrative: Nunes went to meet Ukraine people! Oh wait no his his staff did! Oh wait they were going to but didn’t. Same as all the other stories.

-6 ( +2 / -8 )

Bass:  I think the President made a poor judgement,

Well I'm glad we can agree on something. Presidents should not be doing that.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

Was it ( the impeachment hoax) worth it? Thats the question the Democrats will be asking themselves after the election next year.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Sondland-“I never heard from President Trump that aid was conditioned on an announcement of [investigations]." "Again, my conversation with Amb. Taylor, my conversation Sen. Johnson, were all my personal belief..."

Taylor-“I presume”

Volker-"No, I have not seen that"

Yovanovitch: “I cannot bring any firsthand knowledge to... the phone call or delay of aid.”

Vindman: "I've never had any contact with POTUS"

It was that way all two weeks - Trump's own people testifying he and Rudy were strong arming Ukraine, and that for other than the Biden investigation, they didn't give a ____ about the country.

Ok, so people were bored, not moved, a ratings disaster, helped Trump, raising him in the polls, dropping the calls for impeachment, even Andrew Yang thinks this farce should be focusing more on the 2020 elections, but I think the Dems should put all their egos in a tiny basket to help Trump.

And the Repubs looked pathetic - ranting and raving, acting like two-year olds.

Funny, we felt the same about the Democrats....over the last 3 years.

Now we find out Devon Nunes was over in Ukraine running his own shakedown. And there are tapes and videos...

Yeah and CNN and the Daily Beast are going to pay big bucks and an apology coming his way.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

Well, Dems could care less about the veterans...

You certainly don't: you have said that the troops are expendable idiots and that you laugh when they die.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

@bass4fWell, Dems could care less about the veterans...

Does that mean posters who say 'military personnel are expendable', posters who deride Gold Star families, who support draft dodgers, who mock those who served are Democrats?

Or was that just another anti-American, pro-Russia flame.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

You certainly don't:

I most certainly do.

Does that mean posters who say 'military personnel are expendable', posters who deride Gold Star families, who support draft dodgers, who mock those who served are Democrats?

The only thing I have said was soldiers know that at any given time they can be sent off to war and that they could possibly die, every enlisted soldier knows that. As far as Goldstar families are concerned, wearing the uniform does not give them the right to criticize and think they themselves are immune to criticism and lastly, Trump was not the only President to dodge the draft. What is really funny to me is that in all the eight years of the previous administration and doing the Clinton administration liberals abhorred the military, now they praise them, even people like McCain....odd....well, not really more like predictable.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

Bass: I never heard from President Trump that aid was conditioned on an announcement of [investigations].

Right. Trump didn't invite him into a room, sit him down, and say, "I want you to understand that aid is conditioned upon investigations."

But as Sondland said, everyone knew that was the situation. Everyone was in the loop. It was no secret. And the primary reason why you probably think he made a bad decision.

7 ( +7 / -0 )

What worries me is that Putin got into Trump's head and fed him info about "possible" Ukrainian attempts to influence the election. Trump is lured in by the idea because then he can say Russia didn't help him win. He's obsessed with that. It's why CrowdStrike is brought up.

We also know that Trump has already attempted to deny Russia's involvement and he had a meeting with Putin where he ordered the notes destroyed so no one could find out what the meeting was about. Now take that same man with horrific judgement with Ukraine and tell me what happens.

6 ( +6 / -0 )

The only thing I have said was soldiers know that at any given time they can be sent off to war and that they could possibly die, every enlisted soldier knows that.

What you said was that you don't care about troops' opinions, because they are expendable idiots and you laugh when they die. That's what you said. That's what you believe.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Right. Trump didn't invite him into a room, sit him down, and say, "I want you to understand that aid is conditioned upon investigations."

Again...

“ I presume”

“ I believe”

“ I think”

“ I feel”

“ I assumed”

“ I thought “

But as Sondland said, everyone knew that was the situation.

Sondland also said:

Sondland: "When did what happen?"

Jordan: "The announcement! When did Pres. Zelensky announce that an investigation was going to happen...When did that happen?"

Sondland: "Never did."

Jordan: "Never did!"

Everyone was in the loop. It was no secret. And the primary reason why you probably think he made a bad decision.

Hey, if Clinton didn’t get kicked out for sleeping with his intern in the Oval Office, there’s No hope to get Trump out for making a ill advised phone call.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

What worries me is that Putin got into Trump's head and fed him info about "possible" Ukrainian attempts to influence the election. Trump is lured in by the idea because then he can say Russia didn't help him win. He's obsessed with that. It's why CrowdStrike is brought up.

Aha....

We also know that Trump has already attempted to deny Russia's involvement and he had a meeting with Putin where he ordered the notes destroyed so no one could find out what the meeting was about. Now take that same man with horrific judgement with Ukraine and tell me what happens.

RUSSIA!! ROFL! Yeah, you guys keep chewing on that three year old beat up gum narrative. All the flavor is long gone...

-5 ( +0 / -5 )

I think the President made a poor judgement, but does it rise to the level of an impeachable offense, absolutely not

Of course not. That would require admitting that basically everything you've said about Trump since he announced his presidency was entirely incorrect.

It's pretty clear you've moved well beyond the point where you could ever back down. By doubling down on Trump over and over again, you bound yourself to his downfall. We'll watch you making the same denials as him as he goes down, and the only difference is you'll be lucky enough at least not end up in prison over it. Fortunately for you, binding yourself to him as a supporter doesn't require that you join him when he goes to prison.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

LOL, you don't have to bother giving us your impeachment report, Schiff, we watched that cringeworthy clownshow and saw that, oh my, none of your "witnesses" had any real evidence of any crimes committed by Trump, much less impeachable crimes.

SuperLib: Schiff did an excellent job with this. Very proud of him.

That's what Pelosi said. You're both wrong.

Wait, what's this?

Impeachment bombshell: Col. Mustard puts Trump in the Library with a candlestick.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

we watched that cringeworthy clownshow and saw that, oh my, none of your "witnesses" had any real evidence of any crimes committed by Trump, much less impeachable crimes.

No hope to get Trump out for making a ill advised phone call.

More Trump U legal scholars. It's a violation of 52 U.S. Code 30121; Contributions and donations by foreign nationals, which prohibits "solicitation" a contribution or donation of money or other thing of value, or to make an express or implied promise to make a contribution or donation, in connection with a Federal, State, or local election. And that doesn't include the Abuse of Authority or Obstruction.

Again...

“ I presume”

“ I believe”

“ I think”

“ I feel”

That sounds like Donnie's upcoming testimony in the Stormy Daniels trial...

Court fines Trump $2 million for charity foundation misuse. The US president diverted funds donated by veterans to his personal charity to support his 2016 election campaign. He used the money, among other things, to pay for a 1.8-meter-high portrait of himself.

https://www.dw.com/en/court-fines-trump-2-million-for-charity-foundation-misuse/a-51160868

So tell us again how Donne loves Vets....while stealing from them...

And why the silence? Explain this one to us?

1 ( +4 / -3 )

It's pretty clear you've moved well beyond the point where you could ever back down. By doubling down on Trump over and over again, you bound yourself to his downfall.

Downfall??? He won’t even be convicted or removed from the Senate. That just completely destroyed your argument.

The flavor is not gone for those who believe the evidence provided by the Mueller Report, which has been verified by 'western' democracies' intelligence agencies and that says the Russians meddled.

Yaaaawn.....

The only people I've heard say 'the flavor' is gone are hard core Trump supporters, Russians and others in the global alt right favoring Trump's attempts to undermine US systems. i.e the Trump coup

Ok, so....uh, where’s the evidence that a crime was committed? First it was Russia, than collusion, then it was Quid pro quo, then it was Ukraine, then it was extortion and then bribery and now back to ?Russia again, so look, I’m a very simple man asking a very simple question: Democrats have been at this since he was sworn in, so after 3 years, where is the evidence?

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Democrats have been at this since he was sworn in, so after 3 years, where is the evidence?

There isn't any yet but the Democrats haven't yet given up on making some, so stay tuned. Any day now Adam Schiff is finally going to give us his evidence of Trump-Russia collusion.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

More Trump U legal scholars. And that doesn't include the Abuse of Authority or Obstruction.

In other words, this would never hold up in a criminal court. Well, that settles it, I’m good.

And why the silence? Explain this one to us?

Already more than once.

But Why the silence on this, why do Dems NOW care for veterans?

Already more than once.

Not even once. But here your chance: explain in 15 words or fewer how stealing millions from veterans to buy a self-portrait is actually respectful to those veterans?

Not even once.

More than once.

https://www.factcheck.org/2019/11/posts-falsely-claim-trump-stole-from-vets/

Debunked again.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Downfall??? He won’t even be convicted or removed from the Senate. That just completely destroyed your argument.

Maybe not this senate. But Donny boy better hope that he's able to hold both the senate and the presidency next year. If he loses both, he gets tried and jailed. If he loses the senate, but keeps the presidency, he gets impeached by a proper senate instead of the unethical hyper-partisans it's run by now.

After all, the Republicans have lost over 1000 seats since 2016, and just got devastated a couple weeks back. The downfall continues.

You can only fool the people for so long. Of course some morons will always remain, as evidenced by their existence as posters on this site. But even the dumbest of the dumb will have a line, and as Donny the Con and Moscow Mitch become more and more unhinged, the more people will see through them.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

If Donny's in prison by next thanksgiving, will he be the Turkey that gets pardoned?

1 ( +4 / -3 )

More Trump U legal scholars. It's a violation of 52 U.S. Code 30121; Contributions and donations by foreign nationals, which prohibits "solicitation" a contribution or donation of money or other thing of value, or to make an express or implied promise to make a contribution or donation, in connection with a Federal, State, or local election. And that doesn't include the Abuse of Authority or Obstruction.

In other words, this would never hold up in a criminal court. Well, that settles it, I’m good.

In other words you were wrong again. You said there was no violation of law - I provided one. You may be good, Dimwit Donnie is in it bad...

And why the silence? Explain this one to us?

Already more than once.

That seems to be your go-to dodge lately when you're in a corner and have no answer...

Debunked again.

Really? So what was he fined $2 million for? And who paid for the 1.8 meter self-portrait?

McGahn ordered to testify today - that means Bolton and others get to testify too....oh my....

Seems like Bolton's prediction is coming true - Rudy went "kaboom" - wonder who all is in the frag pattern?

Maybe Rudy let us in: "I've seen things written like he's going to throw me under the bus," Giuliani said. "When they say that, I say he isn't, but I have insurance."

Woah! When your own attorney says he has the goods on you, time to worry...

"Calling Walter Reed...this is the Secret Service...the Big Mango is inbound"....

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Maybe not this senate. But Donny boy better hope that he's able to hold both the senate and the presidency next year.

I don’t think he has to worry about either, but now that the squad are being investigated for their own finance scandal and not to mention the Dems that voted for this impeachment horse crook in Trump key swing States are on notice, this could be big win for getting back some House seats in those areas.

After all, the Republicans have lost over 1000 seats since 2016, and just got devastated a couple weeks back. The downfall continues.

The Dems lost in 2010, 2014 both houses and that win or Gubernatorial win is not a win because the incumbent wasn’t dislodged, so it’s a washout, pick up some red seats and then we can talk about a win, also remember, the Dems with all their socialist candidates as of now can’t seem to beat Trump, let’s see them get the Senate, highly doubt it.

You can only fool the people for so long.

Thank God the Republicans and the people are realizing that, no wonder his poll numbers are going up and impeachment going slowly down.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

In other words you were wrong again.

I wasn’t wrong. Where is the crime?

You said there was no violation of law - I provided one.

Good luck impeaching him on that. Either way, the Senate will laugh at it as flimsy as it stands now.

Seems like Bolton's prediction is coming true - Rudy went "kaboom" - wonder who all is in the frag pattern?

I love me some Bolton, but by the time he gets to testify, this thing will already be on the Senate floor, if it should even get that far.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

In other words you were wrong again.

I wasn’t wrong. Where is the crime?

Uh, read the next line down...

You said there was no violation of law - I provided one.

Good luck impeaching him on that. Either way, the Senate will laugh at it as flimsy as it stands now.

So you ask "where's the crime", then acknowledged there was one in the next sentence....and I thought Donnie was confused...

Seems like Bolton's prediction is coming true - Rudy went "kaboom" - wonder who all is in the frag pattern?

I love me some Bolton, but by the time he gets to testify, this thing will already be on the Senate floor, if it should even get that far.

So we can put you down in the "Bolton is a hero" category? Just want to get it on the record. And don't forget Porky, Pious, Moron, and Mr Whoops....

Oh, and Rudy - hero or scum? Just want to make sure since Cohen was a "fine man" before he became a "dog"...

And what was Donnie fined $2 million for again?
