Trump is going to start something he can not finish and the lives of American servicemen and servicewomen are getting closer and closer to being put in harms way because of his MOUTH!

If he starts a REAL war with China it is game over for all. The gall of the man, to think that doing this will have any positive effect on China and trade. It's no wonder even Republicans are turning against him now.

It is nice to see Taiwan mentioned as one of the many claimant countries by Idrees Ali and Reuters .

However it would be better if Taiwan will always be stated as a country in every article by Idrees Ali and Reuters and by the USA and not just in times when they are itching to seemingly confront China in their now exposed game of charade in the South China Sea.

The people of Taiwan would certainly be thankful to Idrees Ali and Reuters and America if they would also mention TAIWAN as a sovereign country officially called the Republic of China in the hallowed halls of the UN, WHO , Capitol Hill, the White House and even the Great Hall of the People and not just mentioned in passing and used as a tool in the sea lanes of the South China Sea.

America will only be da-kine Great Again if President Trump rightly calls Taiwan a sovereign country and re-establish full diplomatic ties ASAP!

Agreed, the US should be treating China's military buildup on these islands (that aren't theirs) with the contempt it deserves. China said it wasn't militarizing them; they are.

Isn't this what the US has done throughout the Pacific ( Hawaii, Guam, Samoa, Marshall Islands....?  Isn't this what the US has done around the globe with its 800 military bases?

If it weren’t for those bases, China and Russia would be running things and I think from history people that value freedom are happier with the US present. I know I am.

The Chinese don't have to to war. If the United States keeps wasting money and American soldier's lives in the Middle East (Iraq) and borrowing from China to fund it, China will just wait and forclose on the U.S. They are slowly and quietly buying up the forclosed properties and moving into the U.S. All they need is to become 51% of the population. The U.S. , being ruled by majority will be voted out of existance.
