"The president is not a racist and I think the tone of all of this is not good for the country, but it's coming from all different ideological points of view," McConnell said.

Not a big fan of McConnell or any of the other do nothing followers, but he is right. Its not racist, no matter how much a Don Lemmon, Cummo, DeNiro, or any other herd mentality loser tells me it is, I can think for myself.

If it were just Trump and his "reality" show, some might find it interesting to watch as a comedy episode, but it's not, and it sure as hell seems like Trump doesn't know the difference!

8 ( +12 / -4 )

Ok and?

Not a big fan of McConnell or any of the other do nothing followers, but he is right. Its not racist, no matter how much a Don Lemmon, Cummo, DeNiro, or any other herd mentality loser tells me it is, I can think for myself.

I agree.

-11 ( +8 / -19 )

So, 4 "of his own" voted against him.

I'd call it a start and hope more Republicans will think more about what is going on.

It shouldn't always be: follow the leader.

10 ( +14 / -4 )

There is little on earth more entertaining than watching the faux outrage of the perpetually offended...

But in all seriousness, there is nothing else worth covering than this non-story? The Dow Jones hitting record levels, much to the delight of all Americans and their 401Ks? The terrorist attack on an ICE facility in Tacoma? China (the true enemy) feeling the bite of American sanctions?

Nope. Gotta spend time on, of all things, a Tweet.

-6 ( +10 / -16 )

"The president is not a racist and I think the tone of all of this is not good for the country, but it's coming from all different ideological points of view," McConnell said.

so they can't admit that this dumb trump is doing something wrong, also he just want attention you know a guy in he's age always looking for any kind of attention and will never admit he did wrong like all the f** people who voted for him.

6 ( +10 / -4 )

If you have to attack successful minorities to make a spurious point, then stop please stop using oxygen that could well be used by others.

5 ( +9 / -4 )

Without racism, now would the party of oligarchs get the votes of non-wealthy Americans??

Racism is the core value of the Republican party, with religious bigotry and misogyny and homophobia useful additions.

That's your republican party. It has no other value.

Well, this white man will never identify with the vile slime in the Republican Party.

I’d rather have a hard working immigrant as my neighbor than some white trash idiot in a MAGA hat any day.

6 ( +13 / -7 )

No’s to the left, ayes to the right. The ayes have it!

Trump is a racist.

7 ( +15 / -8 )

....and the condemnation will change what ?

1 ( +4 / -3 )

This is Trump’s idea of MAGA!

The land of the free, home of the brave....

2 ( +7 / -5 )

What are the hateful and nasty comments about the USA made by the squad? Is there an online list? Or these a product of Trump's imagination?

3 ( +8 / -5 )

Its not racist...

Yes it is.

4 ( +12 / -8 )

What did Trump say, specifically, that was racist? Oh that’s right, no one can seem to point it out, but nevertheless orange man bad! Racist!

-5 ( +6 / -11 )

Home of the free, land of the slave.

Somethings never change. White is right, and it's embarrassing for them to accept that those of colour are actually just as smart just as beautiful. I really wish he would don his KKK grand dragon robes and drop the innocent but obvious racist agenda, if he is serious send his son in law back to Zion.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Many of my friends and their family members as well as many of those that I did not really care for died for us during the past wars. I for one did not join the military to protect those that did not like my country and willing to destroy it or change it so that we are no longer free with opportunties for all to be better, leaving a better society for our heirs. The liberty we talk about is freedom to be able to take opportunties and not to to be given free things that belonged to others. We do that by "sharing" and "gifting" from our hearts.

Having said that piece, I understand that the migrants are leaving their country because they do not like theirs for what ever reason. They want to come into ours because they see ours to be better than theirs. Then those that do not like my country can do the same. Find a better place and leave. USA is after all an open and free country.

One must work together regardless of difference in opinion to make things better. However, if one is here to serve a different agenda for those purposes and benefits outside of ours, and if we will not accept them, they can choose to leave. That is what migration and immigration is all about.

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

What did Trump say, specifically, that was racist? Oh that’s right, no one can seem to point it out, but nevertheless orange man bad! Racist!

Let me help you out with that:

"Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world ....Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. " Donald Trump

4 ( +6 / -2 )

Many on here seem to forget that first, America is a country of immigrants. True Americans, the Native Americans, let's hear what they have to say. Second, America was built on the sweat and blood of slaves and migrants. If Trump loves his country he should be showing his gratitude and appreciation that would be truly patriotic.

4 ( +8 / -4 )

Racism is the core value of the Republican party,

If that were true, they would use it for every single argument to make a win. That’s the Democrats all the way, race and identity politics.

with religious bigotry and misogyny and homophobia useful additions.

Except when it comes to Christianity then it’s OK for Democrats and liberals to be as bigoted this a want, other religions, we need to be tolerant. Homophobia? That argument worked 30 years ago, sorry not today. As for misogyny, open up the books on the Liberal Hollywood elite and will extend the world over twice.

That's your republican party. It has no other value.

And the Democrats don’t have any values, of course besides identity politics and race.

Well, this white man will never identify with the vile slime in the Republican Party.

I would never allow myself with any party especially a party that believes in socialism.

I’d rather have a hard working immigrant as my neighbor than some white trash idiot in a MAGA hat any day.

I would rather have next door to me a “legal” hard working immigrant than the entire Democrat (or at least that’s what they call themselves) party.

-13 ( +3 / -16 )

Racist is the go to word. Creates a media storm. A white wealthy alpha male being called racist...what else is new? Trump should start returning the same rhetoric as there have been countless racist comments towards whites recently. That doesn't create news though. He won't stoop that low.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

What gets me is that 3 of the 4 were born and raised in America....So Trump based his comments based on the color of their skin but hey its not racist..go figure...

5 ( +9 / -4 )

It seems some is misinterpreting my entry here. Forgot to add that I was in the Army and that I am a child of an immigrant. Immigrant all legal and proper.

The point is criticism is fine and is acceptable, but for a politician and duely elected and sworn to "serve" the country attempts "instigate" change using their personal agenda which basically divides the country and destroys the unity which is the power needed to keep any country strong and independent. That devisive tools are race, income differeences, and past historical injustices which has no or little bearing today. The worst part is that it is nothing but poartisan politics and with NO benefit to the nation as a whole. It makes it personally unaccepatble, when the context of any message is twisted to suite a separate agenda and not address the issue itself. The issue which was " If you do not like our country, you are free to leave."

They sometimes sound as if they represnt another country.

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

I would never allow myself with any party especially a party that believes in socialism.

which brand or definition would you be referring since by American standards there are so many?

Senator Bernie Sanders, the only avowed socialist in the Presidential race.

Socialism isn't just everything you don't happen to like.

The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA)?

The Socialist Party USA, officially the Socialist Party of the United States of America (SPUSA), a multi-tendency democratic socialist party in the United States.

The Socialist Labor Party.

Your new favorite girl,

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America,

What about the American Communist Party, they have a long history?

I would rather have next door to me a “legal” hard working immigrant than the entire Democrat (or at least that’s what they call themselves) party.

Except on either side of your Japanese rental, they are Japanese, as is your wife, and your kids are half Japanese, so you are the only economic migrant working for your FIL's company.

Harassment Based on National Origin

*Ethnic slurs and other verbal or physical conduct because of nationality are illegal if they are severe or pervasive and create an intimidating, hostile or offensive working environment, interfere with work performance, or negatively affect job opportunities. Examples of potentially unlawful conduct include insults, taunting, or ethnic epithets, such as making fun of a person's foreign accent or comments like, "Go back to where you came from, " whether made by supervisors or by co-workers.*

The sentence is even on the website for the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission as an example of discrimination.

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Some really draft arguments justifying the "President" tweets it's pretty obvious he has a problem with outside wrapping how could they be Americans? They ar not ginge like me?

After all human history now we have a president who's thinking is a cotton farmer with a smart phone defending the undefendable.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

I grew up in a racially diversified Oakland and San Francisco in the 1970's. My America looks like everyone in the world. All sorts of skin color, religion, language, etc.

With that said, I'm an American and I know the code. Trump's racism is obvious, to him American's look like him and everyone else is foreign. It's that simple and everyone that is American knows that this is exactly what he said.

5 ( +8 / -3 )

@Northernlife,

How could you possibly know that? tens of millions of non whites in the US. The four of them are whiners and believe in lawlessness. They say what they want to raise a stir because they just play the race card when called out. Media loves it too.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

"go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came."

And? Is that suppose to be racist? Is New Yorker a race? Or Minnesotan? People from Massachusetts are called Massachusettsans, and the folks from Michigan Michiganders. Is that their race?

Trump didn't mention race or color at all in his tweets but, without fail, the resistance read between the lines, heard the dog whistles, took the bait and went straight to the "racism" trope. The only way that those exact words could be construed as racist is if they are put into a context that is predicated on the assumption that Trump is a racist to begin with. Telling a representative from Michigan to go back to her district and make a positive contribution to the well being of her constituents is only racist if you want it to be.

Trying to turn every conceivable situation into a racism issue only dilutes the impact and meaning of the word. It's becoming just part of the background noise. People are just turning it off.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

Many on here seem to forget that first, America is a country of immigrants. True Americans, the Native Americans, let's hear what they have to say. Second, America was built on the sweat and blood of slaves and migrants. If Trump loves his country he should be showing his gratitude and appreciation that would be truly patriotic.

Thats not really true. For example, I have generations of kin who settled in the US, as do Japanese who have generations of ancestors, same in Singapore etc. I cant just come to Japan, and start to make changes; whats in place goes back many centuries. Its the same in the US. Immigrants have to accept whats in place, adapt to it, work with adversity etc. Its the same in any country.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

Nothing "racist" about the tweets, that the corporate propaganda media claim so s hows again how they push fake news.

And while the Trump haters typically claim that he just spouts things without thinking, some outside the bubble pointed out that this is another chess move... by provoking the 4 lunatic radicals, he forced the democrat party is now forced to circle wagons around these 4 with their insane and dangerous ideas. The new face of the democrat party...

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

Its the same in the US. Immigrants have to accept whats in place, adapt to it, work with adversity etc. Its the same in any country.

None of the congress women of Trump's Twitter attack are migrants.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Many on here seem to forget that first, America is a country of immigrants. True Americans, the Native Americans, let's hear what they have to say. Second, America was built on the sweat and blood of slaves and migrants. If Trump loves his country he should be showing his gratitude and appreciation that would be truly patriotic.

Yes.

Thats not really true. For example, I have generations of kin who settled in the US, as do Japanese who have generations of ancestors, same in Singapore etc. I cant just come to Japan, and start to make changes;.

No one is talking about anyone 'just coming to a country and making changes'. Trump is talking about people who are every much American citizens as he is, in some cases with a longer American 'pedigree'. The only difference is he thinks 'American' means 'Caucasian only'.

whats in place goes back many centuries. Its the same in the US*

The US doesn't go back 'many centuries'. The country was only founded two and a half centuries ago, and 2.5 is not 'many'.

The first immigrants to what later became the US did indeed however, 'just come' to the country and start making drastic changes, including massacring the original inhabitants.

5 ( +7 / -2 )

People on this thread who know nothing about my country and our racial codes have made a lot of false comments. I'm an American and when Donald Trump says, 'them', 'those people', 'welfare', 'busing', 'communist', 'racial-card', etc. I know what he is saying.

Non Americans, maybe your understanding this wrong... bless your heart. LOL, look it up.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Except on either side of your Japanese rental, they are Japanese, as is your wife, and your kids are half Japanese, so you are the only economic migrant working for your FIL's company

Here is the kicker though, when I’m in Japan, I fit in, work for myself and don’t make problems, in that sense when I’m in that country I’m the model citizen when I’m in my own country, I say and do as I wish. Omar needs to learn that.

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

The first immigrants to what later became the US did indeed however, 'just come' to the country and start making drastic changes, including massacring the original inhabitants.

If you want to talk about the atrocities of natives, immigrants, settlers etc. every country, every nation has a dark past, every single one of them.

-9 ( +1 / -10 )

who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world ....Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.

You know, in a manner of speaking he is right about the "complete and total catastrophe" and I would just amend the rest to say, "and let by the worst, most morally and ethically corrupt leader, ever to have been elected in said country"

Talking about, of course, the country of "origin" for 3 of these women, the United States of America!

2 ( +3 / -1 )

And? Is that suppose to be racist? Is New Yorker a race? Or Minnesotan? People from Massachusetts are called Massachusettsans, and the folks from Michigan Michiganders. Is that their race?

Kuya 808 - It was perfectly obvious that he was not talking about their cities or states within the USA, but about the countries from which their ancestors came from. To suggest otherwise is to twist Trump's clear meaning to make it sound less offensive.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

The House of Representatives at this point is a sad joke.

Let these four lunatic leftists keep talking, they will talk Trump back into office for four more years. The more they talk the more they help Trump. MAGA, Baby!

-10 ( +1 / -11 )

Here is the kicker though, when I’m in Japan, I fit in, work for myself and don’t make problems, in that sense when I’m in that country I’m the model citizen when I’m in my own country, I say and do as I wish. Omar needs to learn that.

She IS in her own country. She's a US citizen and a sitting congresswoman. She's as American as apple pie. Trump and his far right Republican party are the only rotten apples around here.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Lets just hope any white people here don’t have any mixed race kids.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Here is the kicker though, when I’m in Japan, I fit in, work for myself and don’t make problems, in that sense when I’m in that country I’m the model citizen when I’m in my own country, I say and do as I wish. Omar needs to learn that

Uhhh . . . sweet piece of information, but that's not how it works. First, Omar is in her own country, which we know because she's a citizen. Second, any person in the US enjoys the right of free speech because that right is not limited to citizens.

6 ( +7 / -1 )

How so? He mentioned nothing of race or color, so there goes your racism claim out the window.

Only in the barely-literate world of conservatives. Donny's racism is plain as day for those with any measurable amount of intelligence.

If you want to call him xenophobic, maybe, but racist, hard to prove in a court of law or can you show malice?

Uhhh . . . You should leave the lawyering to those that have actually been to law school and passed a bar exam. Racism isn't defined by law, which means there are no elements such as malice.

As for demonstrating Donny's malice, his twitter feed would be sufficient.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

xenophobic, maybe, but racist, hard to prove in a court of law or can you show malice?

Just so you're aware, merely being racist isn't a crime in the US, so it's not a matter for the courts.

Discrimination based on race is a crime: one that Trump had to settle out of court when he wouldn't let black people live in his building because they were black. Denying someone a service because they are black is a textbook racist action, and strongly indicates a racist person.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Who is "the valley girl"? None of the squad are representatives for California.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

If you want to talk about the atrocities of natives, immigrants, settlers etc. every country, every nation has a dark past, every single one of them.

The topic is the dark present of the United States of America as represented by its democratically elected (with a minority of the vote) Prez and the sad people who think he's the bee's knees.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

While the committed neo marxists and leftists love joining in on the hysteria and negativity, the thinking populace is aware of whats going on.

I think there will be many different reactions as evidenced here.

There are those who scream racist/fascist/Nazi at anything, but of all the different groups in the populace, I’d say nobody was happier than racists to read Trump’s tweet, I’d say that’s a reasonable statement. The same people were undoubtedly happy to hear about ‘good people’ in a white supremacist march or watch dodgy videos from a racist organization on Trump’s twitter account.

He does throw them quite a bit of juicy red meat.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

@Sneezy,

Take a wild guess.

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

Kestrel, I'm genuinely baffled. A 'valley girl' is a stereotype of women from a certain part of California, but none of these women are from or represent California. Perhaps you could just tell me. It was your post, after all.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Only in the barely-literate world of conservatives. Donny's racism is plain as day for those with any measurable amount of intelligence.

I see, so let’s condemn one man, call him out and let the woman off the hook and overlook her racist remarks, yeah, seems logical.

Uhhh . . . You should leave the lawyering to those that have actually been to law school and passed a bar exam.

Back at you and while your add it, seems like a lot of liberals lawyers don’t know what they’re doing as well. We have been seeing this over the last 2 years.

Racism isn't defined by law, which means there are no elements such as malice.

Actually, that’s not true, if you were to try this in a court of law, the fab 4 would lose all day because there is No way they could prove in a court of law that what the President said was racist. I almost wish they would, but they know better.

As for demonstrating Donny's malice, his twitter feed would be sufficient.

Not quite sure about that, AOC seems to be doing a fine job at tweeting herself.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

Uhhh . . . sweet piece of information, but that's not how it works. First, Omar is in her own country,

Adopted. Not her country of origin

which we know because she's a citizen.

Since 2000 about

Second, any person in the US enjoys the right of free speech

That would include the President as well. Thank you.

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

Adopted. Not her country of origin

So what? You keep trying to tell people how much you don't care about legal immigration - well here is someone who legally immigrated and became a US citizen. More than that, she became a pillar of her community, and represents it on a national level.

But for some reason you don't accept her as a legitimate American. I wonder why.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

My Native American friends want Trump to go back to his country of origin.

Wonder where that will be! And whether they will accept him.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

The democrat socialists just walked into another trap set by President Trump. He'll be using the useless resolution they passed to hammer them at all of his rallies from now to Election Day. Do not be surprised if he carries at least 45 states next year.

Well played, Mr. President.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Here is the kicker though, when I’m in Japan, I fit in, work for myself and don’t make problems, in that sense when I’m in that country I’m the model citizen when I’m in my own country, I say and do as I wish. Omar needs to learn that.

But you frequently make criticisms on aspects of Japan on here and elsewhere. You are enjoying the freedom of another democratic country.

But then Ilhan Omar has an American citizen has lived in America since she was 10 years is only doing the same as you would when you are in America vacationing. I don't think she needs to learn anything.

AOC it is not, it's Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

I guess you have a misbelief just like Trump, that none of the four congress women are Americans, but then he harbored and broadcasted the same belief with Barack Hussein Obama II, even demanding to see his birth certificate, and when it was made available, then Trump claimed it was a fake, and even the school he attended was a fake. I suppose that might be why Trump thought up the idea to get rich from a fake Trump university.

I see, so let’s condemn one man, call him out and let the woman off the hook and overlook her racist remarks, yeah, seems logical.

It's not one man."it's the president of the United States of America" the highest office in the land of the free and the home of the brave. What racist remarks are you suggesting? Asked you several times on that point.

Adopted. Not her country of origin

So the First Lady of America or FLOTUS is also adopted then, but really it's only children who are adopted not adults. Also her parent even though her father is an ex-commie. How to you feel about allowing an ex-commie into the White House?

What about your mother, she was a foreigner adopted too then?

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Trump should go back to Germany what's the lie he told of his father's birth place.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

The "squad" refuses to condemn the violent act of terrorism against a govt facility committed by an ANTIFA activist, inspired by AOCs rhetoric.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

Trump's desperate message of "America, love it or leave it" is just an old 1960's right-wing retread which the draft-dodging dotard remembers from those distant days when he discovered his bone spurs which sadly prevented him from "doing his dooty" in 'Nam.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Killed in a shootout with police he left behind a manifesto quoting AOCs insane "concentration camp" rhetoric.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

by provoking the 4 lunatic radicals, he forced the democrat party is now forced to circle wagons around these 4 with their insane and dangerous ideas. The new face of the democrat party...

Actually they are not united at all. It was just reported that the squad are still feuding with Nancy. They hate everybody, Trump was right

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

So what? You keep trying to tell people how much you don't care about legal immigration - well here is someone who legally immigrated and became a US citizen.

I don’t for the majority of people, but for those (like Omar) that have nothing better to say about her new adopted country, if you don’t like it, why are you here? Perfectly legitimate question to ask. Again, she’s making a lot of people angry and now that she’s more on TV people can see how far left radical she is. She’s polling a 9% that’s very bad for a first time Congresswoman.

More than that, she became a pillar of her community, and represents it on a national level.

There’s a lot we know about that community besides her representing it.

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

“Ocasio-Cortez gets new 2020 challenger: a Republican immigrant from Jamaica”

hows she gonna play the race card now?

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

@Blacklabel,

Well, you see, according to Pressley that is a "brown person" who they cannot respect or accept because they a different opinion from the "squad".

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Liberals don’t realize AOC was elected on racist principles. She basically got 15,000 people who look like her to vote against an old white guy. Now acts like she has some mandate from the entire US population.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

hows she gonna play the race card now?

She never has. Man, you guys on the far right love bringing up race over and over again. What’s with that?

if you don’t like it, why are you here?

If you don’t like the ACA, why not move elsewhere?

If you don’t like abortion rights, why not move elsewhere?

If you’re so in love with the idea of a country having a pointless wall, why not move to Vatican City?

Its not a legitimate question. She is a US citizen and has the right to do her part to change the country through the democratic process. I know you guys on the far right want a Trump dictatorship, but that’s not how it works.

There’s a lot we know about that community besides her representing it.

Don’t get coy now. What do you mean?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

But you frequently make criticisms on aspects of Japan on here and elsewhere.

Yes, but I don’t have a pulpit and I’m don’t make problems and I never say incendiary spiteful or radical things about Japan.

You are enjoying the freedom of another democratic country.

When I go back, of course, but I love the freedom more from my country.....a lot more.

But then Ilhan Omar has an American citizen has lived in America since she was 10 years is only doing the same as you would when you are in America vacationing. I don't think she needs to learn anything.

Ok, well I do, but maybe if she did and wasn’t so hateful and antagonistic she wouldn’t be polling at 9%.

AOC it is not, it's Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

We know that, AOC.

It's not one man."it's the president of the United States of America" the highest office in the land of the free and the home of the brave. What racist remarks are you suggesting? Asked you several times on that point.

He is one man, so if you want to (in vain) censure the President, don’t be a hypocrite and do the same to Omar who made racist remarks about our closest ally Israel and about the Jewish people. Pelosi wouldn’t do it....not shocked, but with Trump she does.

So the First Lady of America or FLOTUS is also adopted

But she deeply loves her country and would never disparage it. That’s the big difference

-7 ( +1 / -8 )

AOC calls everything she doesn’t like racist and everyone she disagrees with a racist. Even her own team members. I’m not sure how that’s not playing the race card. Same for Omar.

Talib just screams profanities about impeachment in front of children while Pressley seems somewhat reasonable compared to the other 3. She’s only really lumped in with them because it fits the narrative.

-6 ( +1 / -7 )

Liberals don’t realize AOC was elected on racist principles. She basically got 15,000 people who look like her to vote against an old white guy

Is this playing the race card? It’s just you’re dismissing someone’s hard fought, well documented campaign which won popular support based entirely on the issues facing AOC’s district and reduced it to race. Seems like you guys on the far right should stop playing the race card to me.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

Hate speech is not illegal in the United States, but that does not mean that it isn’t hate speech or that what Trump said isn’t racist. I don’t know what some posters here find admirable or worth defending about what Trump said.
