Russians must have known that Trump was lying to the world about not pursuing business deals in Russia in 2016. Russians must have known that Cohen was lying (until he started singing to Mueller). And Russians have likely known that Don Jr. was lying to Congress. That kind of dirt helps explain Trump’s obsequiousness to Putin in Helsinki. What else is Putin holding over the American President?

Why does Trump surround himself with liars? Why do these people gravitate towards him?

8 ( +8 / -0 )

Seems likd Donny Jr. was discussing a deal in which Russia would hack servers and facilitate a real estate project in exchange for Magnitsky sanctions relief. Junior is in a whole lot of trouble.

Cohen's flipping raises more questions than it answers. How much is Mueller able to independently confirm? How does this effect veracity of Trump's written responses to Mueller's questions? What other dirt do the Russians have on Trump? And what did Trump know, and when did he know it?

6 ( +6 / -0 )

First Stone, then Corsi, then Don Jr., then Trump will go ballistic and make a mistake.

Not just singing, more like composing. The one thing you never want to do is get anywhere caught up in going to Federal prison, most can't handle it. So no surprise Cohen will say whatever he has to in order to reduce his sentence, remember, he is a father.

And Russians have likely known that Don Jr. was lying to Congress. That kind of dirt helps explain Trump’s obsequiousness toPutin in Helsinki. What else is Putin holding over the American President?

Could be, but it doesn't say anything that the President intentionally broke any laws that would amount to collusion or that would be considered a constitutional crisis. Mueller keep digging.

CrazyJoe:. Russians must have known that Trump was lying

The Russians would know that Manafort was a money launderer. Imagine having him in Trump's White House as an advisor.

Can you say leverage?

Exactly. I thought he was owned financially. Now I wonder just how much dirt they have on him. They had this, what else is there?

I'm really looking forward to seeing his tax returns.

Yet Comey files a lawsuit to avoid his own subpoena. Because he is afraid something will “leak”.

Leak? From the king leaker? You can’t make this up. (And you can’t set terms on your own subpoena unless you are a Dem. lucky for Comey he is one now!)

Already retracted by NPR.

And Russians have likely known that Don Jr. was lying to Congress

i notice no one lists the Manafort-Assange meetings anymore in their list of speculations. Are we in agreement that didn’t happen now? Or just pretending that was never a “thing”?

Manafort tried that - it didn't work. He's going to end up with a longer prison sentence as a result. Mueller has made it clear that any claims must be backed up with fact and evidence, and making things up will only get one punished worse.

Who knows - they never really seemed to provide any definitive information as to whether it actually happened or not. So it's hard to tell if it just went away as unverified, or is sleeping until a later time at which the facts will be revealed.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

So why would an article that is unverified and has no facts be published in the first place?

I bet Fox "News" and Brietbart could give you some pretty solid answers about that.

bass4funk: So no surprise Cohen will say whatever he has to in order to reduce his sentence

This is an automatic from Trump fans now. If any of Trump's criminals cooperate with Mueller, then they are being harassed by Mueller and making up stories to get a lighter sentence. If it's announced tomorrow that 3 more people are cooperating, then Trump fans will say it's 3 more examples of people lying about Trump to get a lighter sentence.

Like I said, it's an automatic now. No thought required.

Laguna: Seems likd Donny Jr. was discussing a deal in which Russia would hack servers and facilitate a real estate project in exchange for Magnitsky sanctions relief. Junior is in a whole lot of trouble.

Do you have a source for this?

FoxNews.com spent most of the day putting Trump opinion pieces in the headlines instead of news reporting. You wouldn't know they are opinion pieces unless you clicked on the picture to access the article, then scanned left to find the small text. So when people saw, "Mueller has no evidence against Trump" as the headline they had no idea it was an opinion piece instead of actual news.

Blacklabel: i notice no one lists the Manafort-Assange meetings anymore in their list of speculations. Are we in agreement that didn’t happen now? Or just pretending that was never a “thing”?

Well you can go back and see the thread. The first comment was from Stranger asking what evidence they had. The second from me said it would be awesome...if true. Sounds like we were pretty skeptical from the start and it never went anywhere after that.

Now compare that to the Seth Rich conspiracy, publicly retracted by Fox, which you continued to push despite knowing they had retracted it.

Which one of us is more likely to get duped?

Yet Comey files a lawsuit to avoid his own subpoena. Because he is afraid something will “leak”.

Comey filed the lawsuit because he wants the hearing public not behind closed doors.

See how you left out that important point?

Like Dump? Remember when Dump said that there was no financial ties to Russian oligarchs in 2016.

We that this week that he was going to give Puti a 50million dollar suite at Dump Towers Moscow.

There are striking similarities between Blacklabel, Bass and Dump.

LOL!

I think most of them would rather not know it's opinion. That ruins the fun. And plausible deniability.

So no surprise Cohen will say whatever he has to in order to reduce his sentence, remember, he is a father.

Remember, Mueller isn't going to believe anything Cohen says without corroborating evidence, no prosecutor does when cutting a deal.

This is all so much fun. It will get even better once the subpoenas party in the House starts next year. Subpoenas for all of Trump's associates and contempt charges for those that resist! Oh, what fun this is going to be.

Apparently, you never went to prison before.

If it's announced tomorrow that 3 more people are cooperating, then Trump fans will say it's 3 more examples of people lying about Trump to get a lighter sentence.

Again, you probably never spent any amount of time in prison.

Like Dump? Remember when Dump said that there was no financial ties to Russian oligarchs in 2016.

Before he was President? Why yes, I do.

We that this week that he was going to give Puti a 50million dollar suite at Dump Towers Moscow.

Ok, and it never materialized and?

There are striking similarities between Blacklabel, Bass and Dump.

LOL!

Humor?

-10 ( +0 / -10 )

Yeah, get every single one of them, leading up to family members and then the man-child himself. Get those tax returns too. And then................... Lock 'em up, lock 'em up, lock 'em up.

Humor?

Nope, an opinion of fact!

Before he was President? Why yes, I do.

Liars sticking together! LOL!

“I never met Putin,”

Donald Trump - News conference, July 27, 2016

"I have nothing to do with Russia. I don’t have any jobs in Russia. I’m all over the world but we’re not involved in Russia.”

Donald Trump - CBS interview, 27 July 2016

“we do a lot of business with the Russians” "I met him [Putin] once."

Donald Trump - David Letterman Show, 2013

Does Dump not realize there are countless interviews showing him lying?

Unlike Bass4funk, Dump can't just erase his post when they don't go they way he planned it. HA!

SuperLib, many outlets have published regarding this story. Here's one from Reuters: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-russia-magnitsky-law/russian-lawyer-says-trump-son-offered-to-return-to-issue-of-sanctions-law-bloomberg-idUSKBN1D62MY Of course, Mueller likely has much more concrete info that he will not release until the investigation is complete so as not to prejudice other witnesses.

As for Manafort, he's put all his eggs in the Trump pardon basket. His lying leads him to two possible results: pardon or death in prison. Cohen has gone the opposite direction: he's spilling his guts in hope he'll be treated leniently. I'd say Cohen knows his boss better than Manafort does, having worked for him more closely and for a much longer duration, and is thus taking the better bet.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Laguna : Of course, Mueller likely has much more concrete info that he will not release until the investigation is complete so as not to prejudice other witnesses.

Likely is definitely in my opinion. Cohen is hardly trustworthy - and it's looking pretty obvious both Manafort and Trump fell into Mueller's trap recently.

Mueller seems insanely efficient. A criminals worst nightmare IMO. Successful criminals keep under the radar and QUIET if they value their freedom.

Fools make documentaries with Sean Penn. Or run for president...

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Even if Trump pardons him, he will be brought in front of another grand jury to answer questions. If he's not truthful, back to jail he goes. Plus there are plenty of state charges left to apply.

He's going to die in jail because he's scum, and he did it to himself. And he was Donald Trump's campaign manager.

For those of you who are ignorant enough to claim Mueller has nothing related to collusion:

A pattern of deception by advisers to President Donald Trump, aimed at covering up Russia-related contacts during the 2016 campaign and transition period, has unraveled bit by bit in criminal cases brought by special counsel Robert Mueller.
