Just a small price for pure greed from makers all over the world u$ing slave labor to make communist China big, an unleashed threat to the whole human race.

I am sure the recovery will be just as fast. I suggest Australia invest in its defense which will stimulate the economy and also improve its manufacturing capacity and not rely solely on China or other countries.

That can only happen if the states ease the lockdowns and people can travel freely again.

Given Victoria's lockdown especially, since Andrews has secured the ability from parliament to extend the lockdown for another six months if he wants to, this is going to be hard to do. Added to his allegiance to China through signing up to the Belt and Road debt trap, that's a major stumbling block against the economy recovering quickly.

It doesn’t help that the government is handing out truckloads of cash to its citizens.

People have been receiving $750 per week, while here in japan, we get a one off payment of $1000

I have no qualms with people who were laid off receiving these payments.

my beef is with the dole bludgers who suddenly had their dole doubled, despite having no real desire to look for work.

And the problem now is, all these beneficiaries of the governments’ generous handouts don’t want to take up the jobs that are available.
