many of America's security agencies had been "hollowed out" under President Donald Trump and the lack of information being provided to his transition team by the outgoing administration was an "irresponsibility."

Trump has weakened the US more than any politician in US history. The country is much worse off than it's been in modern history because of his bungling of everything he's touched. He continues to try to do even more damage and his supporters (US and 'foreign') urge him on.

The globe's authoritarian leaders and their anti-democracy followers applaud Trump.

Trump still think., he won the election

He's a traitor. Lock him up.

It will be fascinating to read Trump fan’s defense of this asininity

I'm no Trump fan, but have you forgotten the Clinton Bush handover?

Trump fan’s defense of this asininity.

Their default has been 'he's trolling the libs and media'. Trump fans show more support for Russia than the US.

I'm no Trump fan, but have you forgotten the Clinton Bush handover?

Why start out saying you're no Trump fan if you show any false equivalency in your comparison of this transition to any other? There's been nothing close in the history of presidential transition to the lack of cooperation Trump shows to Biden. Trump is unhinged and is being a fascist who refuses to go by the long held rules of American democracy, Clinton was not.

Trump needs a diaper change again.

NYorkers would disagree with you, especially those who lost loved ones as a result of 9/11. Just because you say it, or have a bias, doesn't mean the facts support it. BTW, Clinton / Bush is just a recent examples...many others. I'd even go so far as suggesting your bias clouded your memory.

I'd even go so far as suggesting your bias clouded your memory.

No, I have no bias on this matter. 'Suggesting' my memory has been clouded is an attempt of a gaslight of manipulating words, and sorry, the lies and narrative of Trump followers do not work on me.

There was never a refusal to give out transition information like Trump is doing. Nearly two months after the election, he is still refusing to even acknowledge defeat. He is not only a sore loser, his refusal to transition is hurting America and is a traitor because of it. 'Suggesting' my memory has been clouded is a complete gaslight of manipulating words, and sorry, the lies and narrative of Trump followers do not work on me.

“Two wrongs don’t make a right” is clearly lost on those who cheer a ‘president’ with a thousand wrongs under his belt.

4 ( +6 / -2 )

That’s going to be a tough one since Ol’Joe has swept up the Depends supplies for his move into the White House.

Yes, Biden will be in the White House, while Trump will be indicted on numerous tax fraud violations and fighting to keep from going into the Big House... Thanks for admitting it.

And didn't you enjoy Nancy teaming up with Trump to raise the amount to $2K? Trump/Pelosi taking on those mean Repubs McConnell/McCarthy. Note it was Nancy that introduced the $2K bill, not the Repubs.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2020/12/28/covid-19-house-vote-stimulus-checks/4065386001/

So, now on to the Senate....who's team are you on - Trump/Pelosi or McConnell/Paul?

7 ( +7 / -0 )

Now that the House has voted to override Trump’s veto of the NDAA Trump will probably redouble his efforts to hinder a smooth transition!

Time to get the popcorn with Team Trump/Pelosi against the Repubs on one court and Team Repubs/Pelosi against Trump with their override of his veto on the other!

6 ( +6 / -0 )

No surprise. Trump's teen was shambolict from start to finish.

Excellent point.

On the increase to $2K, Pelosi, AOC, Tlaib, Omar, Schumer...teaming with Trump - while McConnel and the Repubs oppose Trump...

On the Defense bill, you have Pelosi teaming with McConnell to oppose Trump and override his veto...

So Trump supporters, who's team are you on for the $2K vs $600 amount - Trump/Pelosi or McConnell/Paul?

Who's team are you on for the Defense bill - Pelosi/McConnell or Trump?

Tough time to be a Repub, huh...

"We've encountered roadblocks from the political leadership at the Department of Defense and the Office of Management and Budget," Biden said after a meeting with his foreign policy team.

Well, that's not a surprise - Trump and his minions endangering national security because they're still not over their two-year old tantrum from losing...,maybe they're covering for Russia for Part II of their cyber attack...

I do know that Trump will have the opportunity for another transition in the next few months - his transition from ex-President to inmate at Rikers Island...

I imagine the main stickler will be whether the warden allows orange bronzer as an approved toiletry...

Trump has weakened the US more than any politician in US history. The country is much worse off than it's been in modern history because of his bungling of everything he's touched.

Simply not true. The Democrats for the last 4 years have tried everything from boycotting his inauguration to a fake Russia hoax witch hunt to impeachment to trying to implement the 25th amendment and through baseless attacks non-stop 24/7 the guy brilliantly and defiantly fought back something no other Republican President gas done much to the dismay from the Dems, they’re upset now that after all their attempts to undermine and remove a duly elected President and hurting people and the nation to achieve that goal, now given the circumstances they finally got what they want they expect Trump to fall in line, accept Biden and work with him peacefully with this transition team on every level? Not going to happen. Trump is probably thinking, if they can give me hell for 4 years, I’ll do the same to Biden and the Dems for 4 weeks and 4 years as well. So the Dems and Biden will just have to continue complaining because Trump’s going to give the same respect to these people that did the same to him and his administration, none.

Some fact-checking:

from boycotting his inauguration

Obama and his wife were there, which is what matters most.

a fake Russia hoax witch hunt to impeachment

Trump was successfully impeached and only acquitted by his own party (and never exonerated). The investigation also resulted in 199 criminal charges, 37 indictments or guilty pleas, and 5 prison sentences. There was nothing "fake" about it.

 through baseless attacks non-stop 24/7

There is nothing baseless about calling Trump a wannabe dictator, or, in Rex Tillserson's words, "a f***ing moron". Pretty much all of the attacks have sadly very much been based on facts and reality. And Trump has never, for 4 years, given the opportunity to silence his numerous critics by being competent or truthful. All he did is live-tweet fox news and play golf.

He deserves every bad thing that will happen to him, because it all stems from his own bad behavior.

Trump is probably thinking, if they can give me hell for 4 years, I’ll do the same to Biden and the Dems for 4 weeks and 4 years as well. The hell with democracy, the hell with America, the hell with anyone but ME!

There completed it for you. But, I’m sorry, most don’t feel burning and destroying the house because you lost is right. He should grow up and act like an adult for once.

And now that the Repubs have teamed up with Pelosi to override his veto of the NDAA I’m sure we’ll see more of what looks like a 2 year old’s tantrum because someone took away his toy. How much more damage can he do?

The only bright spot is that the House Dems have voted for a $2000 stimulus. Will Team Trump/Pelosi be able to fight off those Repubs to get it through the Senate?

6 ( +6 / -0 )

Perhaps one reason for President Trump's veto of the National Defense Appropriation Act (NDAA) is a tack on called the Corporate Transparency Act, which would effectively ban anonymous shell companies and severely weaken their use for illegal purposes.

Support for the Corporate Transparency Act has been building even before Trump became President. Apparently, the American Treasury Department as well as law enforcement agencies, both American and foreign, will have access to the names of the owners as well as financial information of these anonymous (for now) shell companies.

The House has voted to override the President's veto. Will Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell allow a vote to override? Hmmm...

Still sore about ice cream. Deal with it.

And the American people are once again caught in the middle.

Act like an adult? Conservatives wanted the same thing for 4 years from the left and never got it, now liberals demand for an olive branch, doesn’t work like that, but the good thing is, conservatives are not going to burn things down in protest, not the thing we do, looking forward to the comeback.

And now that the Repubs have teamed up with Pelosi to override his veto of the NDAA I’m sure we’ll see more of what looks like a 2 year old’s tantrum because someone took away his toy. How much more damage can he do?

Well, he didn’t but Congress and I’m lumping the Republicans in this one as well are more concerned with their constituents than with the people. I get the conservatives point on this, Democrats just think a blank check and write whatever you want when you want, math is and never has been their strongest conceivable attribute. They think we have an inexhaustible supply of money that just will never end and they want more and more and more stimulus as if it’s just like walking to the ATM and withdrawing a 20 note bill.

The only bright spot is that the House Dems have voted for a $2000 stimulus. Will Team Trump/Pelosi be able to fight off those Repubs to get it through the Senate?

Look, Trump wants the people to get $2,000, Congress approved $600, Trump didn’t want to sign it, good! Now the Dems want to complain that $600 or what Pelosi once called that low amount “crumbs” wants people to get that laughable amount, now that Trump signed it, the Dems got checkmate and now want families to get $2,000, unbelievable these people, but let’s see now if the Republicans will approve this, they should, I get it, the zeros make them want to vomit, but both parties are to blame, if Dems wouldn’t inject extra pork or n these stimulus that have nothing to do with COVID relief we could give more aid and the same to a lesser degree goes for the GOP. No wonder Congress has a 17% approval rating.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

You’ve been told again and again that the pork was added by Republicans and that the Democrats first demanded $2,000.

But I know it’s a waste of time repeating it.

Yeah and as I have said before, I didn’t get the Republicans to pass on that, but when they got down to $600, the main reason for that was because of all the things that the Democrats crammed into the bill. Now they have the gall to say that they should just take the $600?, These people are absolutely amazing!

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

...but the good thing is, conservatives are not going to burn things down in protest, not the thing we do, looking forward to the comeback.

OK. Trump is tweeting for everyone to join a rally on Jan. 6 In Washington.

To quite another article on that:

The rally raised fears of fresh violence after the previous pro-Trump protest that included the Proud Boys on December 12 saw several people stabbed and dozens arrested.

So, are you saying the conservative Trump followers don’t burn thing down in protest they just stab and kill?

Neither seems acceptable to me but your welcome to your own opinion.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Act like an adult?

Trump is not since he's refusing to leave. He's acting like a little child throwing a tantrum in the cereal aisle. He is refusing to leave like I said months ago.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Yeah yeah. We know. The Democrats are deluded and 72+ million won’t stand for it. Saved you some time.

In a nutshell.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

In a nutshell Trump is a man baby refusing to leave and it will be entertaining to watch him get kicked out of the WH next month. He will be a trespasser.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

In a nutshell.

nutcase more like.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

conservatives are not going to burn things down in protest, not the thing we do

Yeah, they're just gonna undermine the democratic process and everything it stands for with the most shameless and baseless lies, again and again for over a month. And also make their supporters believe that the other side is a bunch of satanistic pedophiles drinking the blood of babies. The "elephant party" truly has entirely become a feces-throwing monkey party. Mitt Romney and the rest of the members who still have a shred of dignity should rapidly form a new party and leave the GOP to they Qanon loons.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Has anyone ever dealt with an old relative who refuses to let go of their car when their driving is no longer safe or go into a care home when they should no longer be alone? That is Trump refusing to let go of the WH. In the end he will be forced to leave.
