Disgusting.

Was Trump not boasting of exporting only to other day?

And it appears that the US is hijacking supplies meant for Europe as well.

I guess that's what America first means.

This is all Trump. He's like a 7 yr old who won't share. His parents failed him. Mine, mine, mine is for 7 yr olds, not for friendly world partners.

As soon as the U.S. secures enough masks for our people, the restriction will be lifted.

In case anyone hasn't noticed, since Jan. 20, 2016 it's been America First.

Makes sense, we lead the world (allegedly) in CV death cases and with the shortage of masks and respirators that we already have, we now have to export them to the rest of the world? As an American, I would be appalled if the administration would take that route over Americans and put other countries first.

While the US effectively steals masks from its best friend, Canada.

What a rotten country.

Why don’t you call out Donny for this? It is his doing.

It’s hilarious how quickly free-market capitalists turn into socialist in a crisis. “I would be appalled if the administration allowed the market to determine where masks go.” Smh.

When you ask for temporary aid from the government it’s very different than the government taking over the entire private job sector and eliminating it and replacing it entirely with a complete government controlled tax payer apparatus.

Someone doesn’t have a clue about socialism.

Liberals have been saying that for a hundred years. Then I guess and it would be safe to say, Socialists don’t understand or have any idea about the Capitalist systems. I’m extremely proud that this President made the move to block the exports by 3M we need to take care of our own and dying first-period. Canada has to do for themselves and once we are stabilized and this virus is more manageable, then we can help the Canadians and others around the globe.

This flies in the face of capitalist free markets. Glad to see you’re admitting you are proud of a president interfering in the free market.

Not really, because our system has always been a capitalist system, the federal government was never designed to care for a nation as large and complex as ours and the reason why we became the superpower that we are was because of our adherence and support for the capitalist system and now that we are faced with an invisible enemy that was caused by China and killed half a million people, the job market needs a jump start to end this shutdown and to temporary get that aid from the government is not a bad thing, but a necessary one, but replacing it permanently with a socialist system would never work in the US. The government can’t even run healthcare properly let alone the entire nation.

@bas4ffbut replacing it permanently with a socialist system

The US economy for decades has been a mix of capitalism and socialism.

The government can’t even run healthcare properly let alone the entire nation.

Bingo! Though for decades many have tried to improve the country's healthcare system, the 'elite' and the politicians they control, particularly those who are Republican, have stymied their efforts. How's Trumpcare coming along? Or is Trumpcare the Republican's continuation of disregarding the dozens of millions of Americans lacking adequate healthcare.

No, the system has always been a capitalist system. The federal government does provide certain assistance and various social programs, that is true, but the system, heart and soul engine that has made the US has been the capitalist model.

Bingo! Though for decades many have tried to improve the country's healthcare system, the 'elite' and the politicians they control, particularly those who are Republican, have stymied their efforts.

Big government such as the US should never have been involved in government takeover healthcare, unsustainable and unrealistic

How's Trumpcare coming along? Or is Trumpcare the Republican's continuation of disregarding the dozens of millions of Americans lacking adequate healthcare.

Even if the Dems...should they ever get in power run a disastrous government run healthcare system, just like with the ACA there is no way they will keep the premiums low and they’ll have to put in a safeguard like a mandate to keep it afloat and as we all know the majority of Americans didn’t want it, so if liberals want to complain about Trumpcare which was harpooned by the late McCain then how will they run Obamacare with all of its unnecessary subsidies, premiums and mandates?

Love the contradiction contained within this. The system is capitalist, but the federal government does provide socialist assistance. Smh.

Regarding the claim that the majority of Americans disapprove of Obamacare, it’s false:

A new Gallup poll surveying Americans' perceptions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) reveals that a slight majority - 52 percent - of American citizens approve of the law.

Trump has destroyed any brotherhood between Canada and the US. He was ready to put troops on the border last week (though I still wonder if that wasn't more to keep Americans in than to keep Canadians out), and now he's trying to hijack medical supplies, due to his own incompetence in not being more prepared.

The guy is scrambling, not only watching his one and only claim to fame slipping away, but also seeing how he's being castigated for his incompetence in leading the nation through this crisis.

It's like one of those Chinese finger puzzles. The more he tries to fight it, the worse he makes it. And American people pay for it.

Yes, people don’t pay taxes to the government the payments to keep PP alive is done with. Government can’t do it on its own.

A new Gallup poll surveying Americans' perceptions of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) reveals that a slight majority - 52 percent - of American citizens approve of the law. This is very true as well.

You also have thousands of Americans not happy with the cost of premiums and mandate, let’s not forget that.

Trump said he had a better-than-Obamacare plan. 3 plus years in charge. No doubt he'll once again say 'I'm not responsible for that', point to the usual otherguys plus blame 'the media' and 'deep state', or perhaps other imaginary forces only his truest followers believe in. SMH
