LOL. So America is not a democracy? You said it, dude, not me.

For future reference dude, if America were a democracy Hillary Clinton would be president as she won the popular vote by almost 3 million voters. Educate yourself. America is a republic, not a democracy.

"Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting over what's for dinner"

Even Chinese local government use ripped copies of XP.

Smart move! CIA couldn't spying on them that way.

Ripped copies actually more compromised because people tend not to update those (that's just human behavior), so even old hacking tools will work on 'em

With democracy? When the mob chose their leader? LOL.

America is a republic not a democracy, and what you call a mob we call citizens . . . So much talk, so little knowledge.

I believe a firm stance is definitely needed as well, just Trump is the wrong one to be doing it.   If he does it the right way then I'll have no problem.  But this man is known for not doing things the right way.   If there were a much wiser and stronger leader in office they'd have the right words to say to let the Chinese government know that nobody is willing to put up with their BS.

I support Trump taking a stand on this, but I'll believe it when I see action. He blustered his way through the campaign with fake news about what he was going to do with China that didn't materialize.

China will never be a friend of the US. and will continue to steal US technology, set unreasonable requirements for US companies doing business there, continue to support North Korea and expand their presence in Asia no matter what Trump or any other President does. The US SHOULD take a hard line with China and move away from any dependence on China as quick as possible and not cower when they threaten to sell their US Treasuries.

They are rabid nationalists who look for any crack in the armor to take advantage of. The Chinese look down on Americans as corrupt cowards obsessed with identity politics.

They need an enquiry to tell us what we all know? China has got fat and wealthy form massive IP theft and piracy. Microsoft gave up trying to get the Chinese government to crack down on pirate copies of Windows XP. Even Chinese local government use ripped copies of XP. Then there is the IP China stole from GE and Kawasaki to build their bullet trains. The list goes go, fake this pirate that. About time someone took a stand and fair play to Trump for doing so and protecting American interests in the process.

Tuesday that trade and North Korea should not be linked, but thats just it , it will be linked, just as American companies doing business in China will be effected should Trump decide a trade war is the way he wants to go. Yes IP should be addressed but using a 40yr old law to circumvent the WTO is just asking for trouble, will just give China the excuse to do the same.

The United States should respect objective facts, act prudently, abide by its World Trade Organization pledges, and not destroy principles of multilateralism, an unidentified spokesman of China's Ministry of Commerce said in a statement.

This is rich coming from PRC. I wonder if he can say H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-T-E.
