Maybe choose a few of them for base names and to remind those unaware of the sacrifices made for the country by so many African-Americans and other people of color. So, some of the more sensible Republicans are finally waking up to the injustices and cruelty of the Confederate ideal of slavery. Now, if only the one's still arguing against this sort of racism would set their alarm clocks to yesterday, we'd be having more civil discourse, instead of having them defend not being racist by wanting racist things.

For me, the bases are already named. Long ago. Would we name these bases for these people now? Not likely.

If we start renaming, like any other it next think you know we will be demolishing Mt. Rushmore, removing the Washington Monument/Jefferson Memorial, taking everyone off all our money, and digging up peoples graves to spray paint "racist" or "slave owner" in their coffins.
