It won't be long before Trump supporters are along to use this as an example of why we need a wall. Never mind this occurred south of the border.

Let's make it a real border to keep these killers on the other side.

Enforce the border, build a wall.

It is a real border. The murders are on the other side. The border is enforced. Don't let reality get in your way.

Likely, the guns were illegally smuggled into Mexico from the US.

Laguna: Mexico wants a wall and the US will pay for it.

Much more credible promise.

It happened on the “other side” of the border because there is a WALL there. Thanks for proving walls work just like CNN Jim Acosta who commented how safe and calm the area with a wall was.

Prove it.

How's the Trumpcare health plan coming along, the one with provisions to deal with drug addictions in the US. Unfortunately it's drug addicted US Americans who are the market gangs south of the border and worldwide target.

It's highly unlikely Trump's wall (or whatever he's calling it these days) will do much more than put a dent in drugs smuggled into the US, especially when it's known that only a fraction of illegal drugs are brought in over the southern border.

Use public moneys more effectively, find better ways to treat the addiction epidemic, find more efficient ways to protect the southern border than a multi-billion dollar shiny object that would be built primarily to satisfy Trump's ego and the minority of Americans who still support him.

I wish Trump had gotten a lot closer to the battle

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Wall isn't going to stop anything in the long run. The steel pillars wouldn't even stop bullets let alone a determined person.

I wish Trump had gotten a lot closer to the battle.

This visit is probably the closest he's ever been to a battle in his whole life.

The steel pillars wouldn't even stop bullets..............

Steel pillars will stop most bullets.

Mexico is like Iraq, a failed nation. It is a time matter how their drug wars spreading to US continental !

Trump is right to build a barrier to block the drug cartels infiltrations! But he can laid a massive mine field rather than building a war!

-2 ( +5 / -7 )

@elephant

Mexico is not like Iraq...

The US is not a continent, North America is however...

I'm not quite sure what you are trying to say after that...Except you think a massive mine field is a good idea?

Bunch of savages. And there’s a big new caravan heading to those border towns. Good luck with that.

Build steel pillars/wall and electrify it. That will keep them from climbing it.

CNN Jim Acosta who commented how safe and calm the area with a wall was.

Emm Err, I thought there was a crisis out there!!

Lol Trumpets forgetting their own agenda.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

There isnt a crisis.....in the area Acosta was in.....the area with a wall.

Now let’s make the entire border as safe as where Acosta was by adding a wall to other locations too.

Photos shared with Reuters by a state official show charred bodies

Taking lessons from ISIS?

It won't be long before Trump supporters are along to use this as an example of why we need a wall. Never mind this occurred south of the border.

Oh my...

The area is "greatly fought over" by traffickers of arms and drugs as well as those who help undocumented migrants to cross to the United States

So, Chip, yes, a wall would help to keep out undocumented migrants being helped by the arms and drug traffickers. This is not rocket science.

"This visit is probably the closest he's ( Trump's ) ever been to a battle in his whole life."

Yeah! At least Hillary was under sniper fire!

There isnt a crisis.....in the area Acosta was in.....the area with a wall.

Exactly! Oh my...

Jim Acosta goes to Border Wall. Regrets Immediately

LOL, there is no crisis, except in hateful minds.

Walls do not prevent people crossing over, even Trump admitted it.

Yet he wants a wall, something he knows he will not get.

all of this to keep the spotlight off Mueller probe!!!!!!

Statistics show illegal immigration has fallen to a 20-year low

of Apprehensions of people trying to cross the southern border:

Year 2000: 1.6 million

2016: 400k

2018: 300k

It's quite a drop

While cross-border migrants often make headlines, the largest # of illegal migrants settling in the US each year are those who stay in the country after their visas expire - *after crossing the border legally, **mostly by air traveling by plane thru airports (not by land)*

(According to the most recent reports by the Dept. of Homeland Security, the # who overstayed their visas has outnumbered those who crossed the border illegally every year since 2007. DHS also warns that terrorists are more likely to cross from the unfortified Canadian-US border --the longest unfortified border in the world-- than from the high-profile Mexico-US border)

LOL, there is no crisis, except in hateful minds.

If creating and wanting to protect the country from filth likes these animals is hateful, then it’s hateful, but at least it’s not weak and falling into the capitulation corner.

Tamaulipas state officials said that 21 bodies were found Wednesday in the city of Ciudad Miguel Aleman. Seventeen were burned, they said. Photos shared with Reuters by a state official show charred bodies scattered along a dirt track in scrubland, alongside burned-out vehicles.

One body was wearing the remains of a baseball cap bearing the letters and logo of the local Gulf Cartel, while others wore the remains of bullet-proof vests with the same insignia.

Turf wars between the Gulf Cartel and its chief rival, the Zetas, have been a key source of bloodshed over recent years in Tamaulipas, one of the most violent states in Mexico.

Walls do not prevent people crossing over, even Trump admitted it.

No, but they slow people down, tremendously and if you don’t think walls are good, then every household in America and every celebrity should get rid of them.

Yet he wants a wall, something he knows he will not get.

all of this to keep the spotlight off Mueller probe!!!!!!

And the Democrats won’t get anything as well. Gridlock.

Sorry, this just reinforces the need for better border security. Whether that means a wall or something else is irrelevant. There is real danger just south of the US border that could easily spill to the North. Too many people simply refuse to admit that there really are dangerous people too close to our borders.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Hateful is better than weak was the argument we used to see in 1930s Europe and we all know where that led us.

Americans come to harm more from domestic criminals than the foreign cartels too busy bumping each other off. So shallow arguments justifying hate do nothing more than reveal disturbing mindsets.

Since Donny boy bought up the ridiculous comparison to home walls, no surprise that's being bought up here.

Home walls serve multiple purposes , privacy and setting boundaries the main ones.

Also people dont build walls when they dont have enough money to feed the ones living inside .

0 ( +1 / -1 )

If you have a brawl going on next door to you, I hope you don't wait until the brawl spills over into your yard before calling the cops...

Like I said before, maybe not a wall, but border security is not something to be taken lightly with cartel wars going on right on the other side.

Americans come to harm more from domestic criminals than the foreign cartels too busy bumping each other off. So shallow arguments justifying hate do nothing more than reveal disturbing mindsets

That just didn’t make any sense.

Home walls serve multiple purposes , privacy and setting boundaries the main ones.

And I totally agree with you! You said it, “boundaries” we need to respect each other’s bounderies, laws and privacy. Mr. President, build that wall, even liberals agree

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

I am always happy to help out my lesser educated friends, English can be a tricky language for some.

Boundary does not mean wall. Many countries have boundaries, borders but not walls. Useless walls which cost a bunch of money do not serve any purpose.

That money can be used to educate our not so literate friends.
