Tragedy on many levels. These three women had dedicated their lives to helping men like the one who killed them; men who were sent to war and who come home broken some to the point they simply cannot be saved from the demons which they got in combat.

The phrase "casualties of war" comes to mind here. Three women who were trying to help caught in the crossfire. More collateral damage from an unending war Wong's service there was from 2010 -2013 or ten years after we first went to war in Afghanistan and we are still there committing more troops and fearful that if we leave somehow it would be a sign of defeat. What we have to contemplate is there could well be another David Wong in Afghanistan right now and when he comes home as damaged there will be more collateral damage. Afghanistan is now our longest war EVER. And, the casualties keep piling up.

It sounds more like he should have had a diagnosis of Homicidal Ideation, which would have been a legitimate reason to get kicked out if that was not a mode a treatment the center was capable of offering. As far as I know PTSD untreated or otherwise has not been established as a causative factor in premeditated murder/suicides.

Wong had been a patient of Pathway Home, a program at the Yountville complex for former service members suffering post-traumatic stress disorder after deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan. The San Francisco Chronicle, citing unnamed sources, said he had been asked to leave the program two weeks ago.

It looks like he was grudged against these three peoples Pathway Home Executive Director Christine Loeber, 48; the program's clinical director, therapist Jen Golick, 42; and Jennifer Gonzales, 29, a psychologist with the San Francisco Department of Veterans Affairs Healthcare System.

Why they have asked him to leave the program?

Obviously, he needs professional help. They have rejected him and refused to help him instead of give him professional help. They have let him down. It's very sad for all families who lost love one in this tragedy. R.I.P

VA hospitals in Arizona used to send Veterans to San Francisco VA hospital by giving one way bus ticket. It got nationwide scandal. Years later, Veterans are still not treated well yet. Figure who are stealing their pensions yet. Many Veterans lose their pensions, needed hospital cares are denied,,, etc.

Why they have asked him to leave the program?

Apparently for being in possession of knives and possibly threatening one of the victims.

The VA needs some real reform, too many veterans not getting the care they deserve after risking lives and limbs.
