That is good advice. The nuclear treaty was good for both countries.

Russia and China are smiling.

Paranoia for reasoning to not have a nuclear treaty with Iran is typically GOP ridiculous and completely ignorant. It's the same basic reasoning as to why the GOP sent in a unilateral attack on Iraq, paranoia and stupid narrative leading to wasted lives, money and the loss of America's moral fiber.

President Biden is a man of action, with clarity and purpose. The treaty will be restored, as it should be.

Yes, indeed, not to mention, other than the Israelis and the Saudis, they don’t have to worry about the US looking over their shoulders anymore.

Definitely. After watching Trump bungle his coup they know he is a junior-level tyrant compared to them....

Who cares what Iran's top diplomat thinks?

All Trump did was increase Iran's production to 20% Useless..

And North Korea, and Al Qaeda ...

Yep, Kim gets misty-eyed and smiles when he goes back and re-reads all those love letters from Trump...

Al Qaeda and ISIS are smiling because Trump did something they always wanted to do, but couldn't - attack the Capitol Building...

Paranoia for reasoning to not have a nuclear treaty with Iran is typically GOP ridiculous and completely ignorant.

Unfortunately the ignorance is in Biden’s belief that a state sponsor of terrorism who were involved in the production of IED’s that killed hundreds of US soldiers in the region is a trusted negotiating partner. To put in terms the Left can understand, you cannot trust that a white nationalist will negotiate in good faith that they would not harm a Jewish person. It is what they are. So why negotiate with a nations leaders who tread on American flags one their way into buildings and lead crowds of supporters in chants of “death to America”? They teach their children that Jewish people are literally swine - that is who the government of Iran is. Stop being ignorant of the regime you are dealing with. Biden has been in public life for nearly half a century and has nearly always been wrong on the most important foreign policy issues.

Obama was an utter fool and allowed the Iranians to play him, but the guy wanted to get a win so he made up a treaty instead of going to congress knowing he would have been gawked at for even bringing up the idea, would have never passed and here we are again, capitulation and appeasement is the new norm again. Thank God we can depend on the Israelis and the Saudis to deal with anything the Mullahs can muster.

Pure opinion - and an incorrect one at that. Let's deal in facts...

In 2016, Iran was locked into a multilateral agreement that froze its nuclear development - and compliance was being verified by IAEA inspectors.

In May 2018 Trump withdrew the US from the Treaty...

As of Dec 2020, Iran has resumed its enrichment of uranium, restarted research and development on advanced centrifuges, and expanded its stockpile of nuclear fuel, cutting in half the time it would need to produce enough weapons-grade fuel to build a nuclear bomb.

So, are we safer today then we were four years ago?

Just facts please, no opinion...

Obama was a statesman and saw an opportunity to slow Iran’s nuclear ambition with little harm to the US. Claiming otherwise is to ignore facts and attempt to rewrite history.

He didn't as is the evidence and if he were. so magnetic as one, he would have had the guts to go to Congress and have them write a legislative act. He didn't and he knew it was crap and that's why he made a treaty and used his pen and paper.

Capitulation and appeasement is the new norm

So why is Biden doing it with China? Don't know about you, but it makes me nervous.

But, Trump!

Obama was an utter fool

Obama was a great president and mind. The utter fool was and is your guy, the unhinged clown and traitor to the constitution. He didn't care about America and certainly doesn't care for his followers, but he'll milk them for all the money he can get.

First off, Iran didn't, and hasn't, in any way breached or violated the terms of the JCPOA, because right along with laying out what steps it was being asked to take to assuage American paranoia and debunk, again, the conspiracy theories, it also laid out the conditions under which those steps expired, including both a specific date, and the US etc not meeting their obligations.

And the Biden statement that if Iran were to act as if the US etc were meeting their obligations, the US would 'return' to meeting their obligations as part of the framework for negotiations on a new deal is pretty Trumpy, given that the US NEVER met its obligations during the Obama/Biden administration.

PS, I would have thought that the ICJ dismissing every effort by the US to avoid having its actions in not honoring the JCPOA ruled on by the only nonpolitical body for such matters would have rated a mention, but that would have shifted the focus to facts, not opinions and claims, so the absence isn't unexpected, just significant.

Iran providing funding and materials for IEDs is a fact. Iran is a state sponsor of terror - that’s also a fact. The Iranian regime teaches their children that Jews are like swine - their is videos of puppets teaching this to Iranian kids. These guys in Tehran are deadly serious and there is no benefit to playing naive just because they hate the same people you do, Let’s deal in facts and reality.

Sure, uh-huh...

The question was, is Iran closer to getting a nuclear weapon in 2021 compared to 2016 and therefore, are we safer today?

Still waiting...

Not sure what you are waiting for. Irans nuclear program has been stalled for 4 years because Trumps sanctions. If the the Harris government goes back to that toothless treaty, it is back in full force. And that in turn will motivate the Sunni Gulf Arabs (aka the Saudis) to start nuke development too. So you are are waiting for a nuclear arms race in that volatile region?

Iran's nuclear program has been stalled for four years? Hmmm.....

The IAEA's latest report followed Iran's announcement that it had begun enriching uranium to 20% purity at its Fordo nuclear plant. Twenty percent is just one technical step away from nuclear weapons grade levels of around 90%.

So, is Iran closer to getting a nuclear weapon in 2021 compared to 2016 - and are we safer today? Yes or no...
