The US needs to stop burning so much oil and gas, move away from the fossil era, stop fighting wars for oil, gas and their shipment. NB The US will be burning oil and gas for decades, maybe forever. It needs to burn much less.

What about Iran's destructive policies ...?

Iran has never illegally invaded counties killing women and children

Iran invaded Iraq. The war lasted 8 yrs. Please learn some history.

Iraqi casualties are estimated at 105,000–200,000 killed. Thousands of civilians on both sides died in air raids and ballistic missile attacks.

@Goodlucktoyou - you've taken up the Trump disinformation method. Claims out of context or completely without proof.

Iran has placed advisors with and provides military equipment to many of the neighbor terrorists who all want Israel gone. These aren't govt-to-govt sales, but govt to terrorist organizations like Hezbollah. The countries that are not provided bombs and rockets by Iran are all US allies. Funny how that works out.

The Iranian govt needs more pressure so good Iranian people who remember what life was like before their revolution can gain power and rejoin the 1st world again. From a practical perspective, smaller powers have always worked with larger powers for mutual benefit. My tiny company does this daily when our main client, a huge Fortune-10 company, makes requests. We call it "riding the bear." Sometimes you just have to do what the bear wants to avoid losing everything. The world is full of bears. To Nepal and SK, China is "the bear" they need to appease.

I guess we read different history books. What I remember is that war started with Iraq invading Iran (September 1980).

You're correct. Iraq invaded Iran

Iran just had its revolution toppling the Shah government. Saddam Hussein saw a weakened governance in Iran and took the opportunity to grab some land

Biden should leave things wth Iran as they are for another year. Let the pressure build on the country behind most of the regional instability. Iran as been behind terrorism around the world for decades.

Give the Iranian people a chance to throw out their current leaders for less religious leaders. This will help the US and Israel and US allies in the region.

More pressure.

I do not think they get that. As bad as the neolibs that Biden represents are, there is no good news for Iran in it either. A Biden regime would restart the war in Syria by once again supporting the Sunni jihadi rebellion against Assad. It is bad all around.
