The beginning of another round of disagreements and new issues which only extends the current conflicts and opens up new problems which will continue to grow until such time as there are no more people to occupy any of the land in that area.

The country "created" during WWII "exists" and occupied by humans (people) who happens to be "different" in many ways than those surrounding them that already have many, many differences and conflicting problems which basically originates from religion and race.

Both religion and race are the basis of a way of life for people which are basically "impossible" to change without major "internal" revolutions for change based upon a "deeper" understanding, appreciation and perspective of "Life" as we experience and live it.

When the natural and social, cultural and political environments differ, such changes cannot really occur unless one physically experiences "all" the different ways of life, evaluates and view them from a similar wholesome "perspective".

That is almost impossible and probably not beneficial for mankind. That is another issue.

However, given the current world environment, another major conflict may be expected in that area.

Hopefully that conflict will not extend to the rest of the world.

In an interview to Israeli Channel 12 News three days ahead of the April 9 poll, Netanyahu was asked why he had not extended sovereignty to large West Bank settlements, as Israel did without international recognition in east Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, both captured in the 1967 Middle East war.

Netanyahu deserves to win because his corruption, racism and extreme nationalism accurately reflect the wider corruption, racism and extreme nationalism of Israeli society.

Netanyahu isn't the problem, Zionist supremacy is the problem: the belief that one people because they were persecuted in the past have a God-given right to persecute another people by stealing their land, killing them if they resist, and keeping them under permanent military rule simply because they're from the wrong ethno-religious group.

Israeli apartheid didn't begin with Netanyahu, nor will it end if he loses.

U.S. officials have said they would unveil a long-awaited Trump administration Middle East peace plan after the Israeli election, but prospects to restart negotiations appear dim.

ya think?

The saddest thing is that the other pm hopeful is just as bad or worse.

My heart goes to the Palestinians.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

The Israelis have perfected trampling on the human rights of the Palestinians.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

If it keeps the Israelis safe. Then it might be a wise decision.

-11 ( +0 / -11 )

If Russia annexing Crimea keeps Russia safe, it might be a wise decision for Trump to recognize that annexation.

See how that logic is flawed?

5 ( +5 / -0 )

@chipstar. Crimea was part of Russia until 1956, then given to Ukrane until in 1991 it became autominious. A referendum was held and it returned back to Russia. Palestine on the other hand was occupied by the British and then given to the Zionist terrorists by Balfour. It has been Palestine for many a century. The zionists killed the Palestinians and stole their land and houses killing anybody in the way. So yes I grew with you, but the Palestine problem is a case of Palestinians being asked do they want to give their country to Jews from Europe.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

...sorry...not being asked....

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

A referendum was held and it returned back to Russia.

This is not how it happened. Russia occupied Crimea and then held a sham referendum.

Judging by this historical revisionism and your insistence that Japan had no choice but to attack the US, its very clear you have serious issues with understanding history.

This statement has no basis in fact.

Someone needs to do a tiny bit of research.

The two-state solution in the Middle East is all but dead, the Palestinian lands fragmented and fractured. Was Israel ever serious about it?

Sadly, no.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

I think the two State solution can and is still in play, but It will never come ahead or to fruition as long as Hamas is in power in the Gaza, I just can’t ever see that happening as they will never recognize Israel as the Jewish State and as long as that critical factor is not recognized, the peace process and the two State solution is a pipe dream.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

I think the two State solution can and is still in play,

You think incorrectly.

but It will never come ahead or to fruition as long as Hamas is in power in the Gaza,

Or if the Israelis continue to trample on the human rights of the Palestinians.

> I just can’t ever see that happening as they will never recognize Israel as the Jewish State and as long as that critical factor is not recognized, the peace process and the two State solution is a pipe dream

As long as Israel keeps dividing and outright stealing Palestinian land, the two state solution is dead.

Or if the Israelis continue to trample on the human rights of the Palestinians

Or maybe the radical wing of the Palestinians could respect the human rights of the Israelis.

As long as Israel keeps dividing and outright stealing Palestinian land, the two state solution is dead.

Or if the Palestinians stop firing Qussam rockets, kidnap IDF soldiers or not giving legitimacy to the Jewish nation, it won’t happen. Both sides need to come together, but to think it’s all Israelis fault is just benign and completely and factually wrong.

bass: I think the two State solution can and is still in play, but It will never come ahead or to fruition as long as Hamas is in power in the Gaza

That used to be my position. But that was back when I had faith that the Israelis were interested in a peace process. Netanyahu has shown that his is not interested in a peace process, so now we have both sides going in opposite directions.

This is when the US can step in and exert pressure on both sides to bring them to the table, but Trump seems fit just handing Bibi what he wants with nothing in return and no benefit whatsoever to the United States.

False equivalency,

False equivalency,

Not according to the historical facts.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

This is when the US can step in and exert pressure on both sides to bring them to the table,

Already been done and when Obama was President, he had a very testy relationship with Bibi completely disregarded and treated Israel as an aggressor and not as an ally, the first President to do so and from the liberals, not a single word and now that this President has a strong connection to Israel and Bibi, the liberals are now beside themselves. No US President in the end can and will be able to fix something that has been going on for over 2,000 years.

but Trump seems fit just handing Bibi what he wants with nothing in return and no benefit whatsoever to the United States.

I know another deal that was fruitless as well.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

Or if the Israelis continue to trample on the human rights of the Palestinians.

The first of all human rights is the right to live. How many times must you hear the chant “Death to Jews” before you accept that, at best, there must be two states: a secular or Islamic Palestine and a a Jewish Israel?

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

What’s been going on for 2,000 years? 2,000 years ago Islam did not exist and the Romans occupied this part of the world.

Low information voters voting for a low information president.

Dangerous.

Low information voters voting for a low information president.

I’m not doing an accurate timeline count. When they say thousands of fish died and were washed onshore you make an accumulative count, come on now....

Dangerous.

The new Congress definitely. Lol

The first of all human rights is the right to live. How many times must you hear the chant “Death to Jews”

How many times must we witness Israeli war machines tearing through Palestinian homes?

before you accept that, at best, there must be two states: a secular or Islamic Palestine and a a Jewish Israel?

I have already accepted this, so I'm not sure why you are asking. Oh, you assumed you knew what I had and hadn't accepted when you asked. I hope you've learned something about making assumptions.

I’m not doing an accurate timeline count. When they say thousands of fish died and were washed onshore you make an accumulative count, come on now....

Haha. Yeah, this is exactly how to explain away a glaring inaccuracy.

The new Congress definitely. Lol

Just the half controlled by republicans. ROFL!

Bass4funk:. I think the two State solution can and is still in play

Not with Bibi in charge. Perhaps with the next Israeli leader.

I’ll take Israel over palestinian barbarism any day.

I’ll take Israel over palestinian barbarism any day.

Do you find Israeli barbarism more palatable?

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Just the half controlled by republicans. ROFL!

And the Rest by a radical wing of socialists that very rapidly becoming a liability for Democrats and that’s encouraging news for the GOP.

Not with Bibi in charge. Perhaps with the next Israeli leader

It won’t and I’m not saying it shouldn’t, not trying to be a pessimist just keeping it real, but you will never have both sides come together to make it happen, it won’t.

I’ll take Israel over palestinian barbarism any day.

I agree.
