Elected US officials, by protocol and manner, leave the comments at home when they travel abroad.
Further proof that Trump has neither.
Really, first his pisses off his BFF about the missiles,...what's next?
PTownsend
As well he should be. But Trump attracted attention to himself and played to those in his base who titter at school boy insults, so for him and that minority of Americans supporting him it was a win.
It's clear Trump cares jack zip for anything other than maintaining his personal power, paying off his debts (who all around the globe is he in the owe to?), and getting richer.
North Korea's got large reserves of resources for one of the competing empires (US, Russia, China) to exploit. Russia wants to build a gas pipeline down the peninsula. Trump wants to build golf courses and sell his brand name. By doing Putin and Xi's bidding he'll probably have greater access to places in Korea, Russia's Eurasian Economic Union and along China's Belt and Road.
None of the empires, nor Kim, cares even the slightest bit for the Korean people. The only defense the empires can have is the Korean people will be trickled down on as their respective .01% get richer.
CrazyJoe
Does it strike anybody else as extremely odd that an American President has sided with the most murderous, repressive dictator in the world over a Fellow American?
Let this sink in for a minute: The POTUS agrees with KJU, the ruthless dictator of the Hermit Kingdom that the former Vice President of the United States is a "low-IQ idiot". So much for "America First" or "Be Best".
Helix
Demonstrably untrue. Go look up the previous president's unflattering comments about presidential candidates made at the 2016 G7 summit in Japan.
OssanAmerica
Said it back in 2016, will say it again...Not Fit for Office!
Yubaru
What that Obama said that Trump has "rattled" world leaders? Right, like that is anywhere on par with agreeing with a dictator, who happens to be an avoided enemy of the US, making a comment about a former VP and currently running for next president of the US.
Apples and oranges! Not even in the same boat, and lets not forget either, that like I said, Trump is an uncouth, perverted man, holding the office of President of the US.
No one can say otherwise!
PTownsend
It strikes me as consistent. Trump's both a dictator-appeaser and dictator-wannabe.
He's doing whatever he can to further splinter the long splintered American people, even turning his back when foreign governments 'meddle' in US affairs in their efforts to continue dividing the population.
There are Americans who proudly wear 'I'd rather be Russian that Democrat' Tshirts, people who feel more closely connected to the police state Trump and his bund want closer connections with than they do their own American neighbors with differing views.
But remember, Trump and his supporters have said all along they want US systems brought down.
Jimizo
He’s consistent. Whether he’s on the potty at home at 3am with his smartphone or on an official visit, it’s wall to wall trash.
Yubaru
Sorry....too much coffee....avowed enemy, not avoided!
(Note to moderators; PLEASE install the "edit" button function on this site)
Helix
He said considerably more than that. Among other things, he said candidate Trump was ignorant of world affairs, that he was cavalier, and that he was more interested in tweets and getting headlines. I don't think Obama was wrong, but your original claim about some long standing protocol on not making such comments internationally is untrue.
Laguna
Commented on this yesterday, and glad it's getting the attention it should. Whatever your opinons of Biden, he is a good man. Trump is a repulsive creature.
Toasted Heretic
Correct.
It's all about him and his narcissism. I hope America can recover from the damage this crazed individual has done to its standing.
Doesn't mean I'm a Biden fan, btw. I prefer a bit of radicalism, rather than the tired neocons and liberals that are too timid to take on the Republican scourge.
bass4funk
Liberals are funny, they criticize Trump for lying and then criticize him for being honest. Lol!
Yubaru
Remember, Trump was not, and is not a politician. Not to mention that these comments never called into question his intelligence either. Meaning Trump was fair game at the time!
Biden is the former VP ! Large difference. Obama gets a pass!
TumbleDry
Indignation is not going to change anything.
Media are going to spend hours on it and his base is unmoved.
Trump is a master troll.

Like Trumpists being vehemently against dialogue and calling for strikes on the DPRK and then changing their mind when their dear leader buddies up to Kim, you mean?
Kestrel
John Voight has just called Trump the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln.
He left hate Trump because hes the real thing. And he is there for America.
bass4funk
Everyone is entitled to their personal opinion, no harm in that.
Where are you reading this?? Trump never said anything about bombing North Korea, even going against and downplaying what his military advisors are saying contradicting them. Tune off Don Lemon for a moment.
lincolnman
OK, time for the SECDEF or Joint Chiefs Chairman to explain to this Idiot what "Giving aide and comfort to the Enemy" is... Commander in Chief? More like "Coward in Chief"...
Any US citizen, let alone the President of the US, agreeing with a blood-thirsty dictator and someone whose government killed 54K Americans shows how much they hate our country...
So when things change and Kim calls Trump a "mentally deranged dotard", it's OK for fellow Americans to say "Boy, Kim nailed that one"....
Next we'll have Vlad saying the Biden would be "bad for US-Russian relations" and all the Trumpers agreeing with their hero too.
They all suffer from PDS - Putin Devotion Syndrome...
Toasted Heretic
In these very forums, until relatively recently, there were Trump supporters calling for nuclear strikes on Pyongyang and itching for war. Those of us who called for dialogue were scoffed at.
So, do you agree with the DPRK's assessment of Bolton?
bass4funk
People can say or think what they want on forums.
My “personal” opinion, I do, but that’s my opinion on NK.
Toasted Heretic
Yes, that's a given. However, it doesn't disprove my point on the hypocrisy of Trumpists, though. Once your dear leader made his feelings known for Kim, the rhetoric and chest beating suddenly became mute.
What?
ToshiYori
Let's see a show of hands of everyone who would have praised (or believed) President Trump if he had said Biden is a good man and the alleged comments about him are totally incorrect. Anyone?
Toasted Heretic
I don't support his bid but I certainly don't think he is a "low IQ individual". That's just a form of projection. So, incorrect it is.
Anonymous
Kim, for all of his dictatorial malevolence, correctly took Joe Biden’s measure.
Trump simply nodded at the truth of it.
The truth is excruciatingly painful for Democrats and their fellow travelers to hear. That their comeuppance should come from this source is hilarious.
1glenn
Trump said something ridiculous? Who could have guessed that would have happened. It must be a day ending in "y."
Deadforgood
Anyone who read Trump's full post would see that he's an absolute disgrace to America, and the rest of the world. He laughs about NK shooting missiles over Japan (before coming here, which is just an insult to Japan) and also insults directed towards his opponents. He only cares about himself, couldn't give 2 seconds for America...
mtuffizi
agreed with kim as well - dotard.
Rick Hepner
Please accept my sincerest apology to the people of Japan and Prime Minister Abe Shinzo for President Trump's graceless and inconsiderate comments while he is a guest of the Japanese people.
SimondB
Trump: We will rain down fire and fury on them (NK) like the world has never seen.
Kestrel
@ANonymous,
Exactly.

Obama was treated with contempt by Kim. Trump, through brilliant strategy, signalling, etc, has met with Kim twice. Progress is being made. The left demand the Hollywood version. Trump operates in the real world.
Anonymous
@Zichi
Absolutely correct.
Kim runs a slave empire. Biden is a coffee-drinking ex-VP and former Senator from a tiny state.
As far as Kim’s assessment of Biden’s IQ, how would he know? From nonsensical and factually incorrect public statements? Joe’s not alone by a far stretch.

100% Agreed.

Is that the meme Internet Research Agency/Qanon/Breitbart-Bannon are pushing today?
Why are ultra-rightists (US and 'foreign') so afraid of democracy?
bass4funk
Why are liberals against free speech and the suppression of it? Liberals should know by now Trump will never bow to what liberals want him to say or think, so if they don’t want Trump to speak his mind, then liberals shouldn’t ask him a question where they think Trump could say something not to their liking, even I could predict what his answer was going to be when they asked him, that was just a given. How about this, let’s say Trump said something nice ans flattering, you would have Don Lemon and the other media jokers mocking him and slamming him for not being honest and lying and saying, come on, why can’t this President tell the truth? He knows he hates Biden, it’s reflective in his previous comments, he’s oversees and still can’t tell the truth, that’s his problem, he should just own up, he doesn’t like or respect the man and not lie all the time to the American people. That is exactly what the outcome ans reality would look like had Trump said, the opposite about Biden. Let’s really be brutally honest, either way, Trump was doomed by the media once ANY question about Biden was asked.
SuperLib
Un's done well so far, no doubt. No more war games, cancelled sanctions, let off the hook for Otto Warmbier, daily praise from Trump. short range missile testing approved, expanded facilities.
I was just hoping Trump could secure something for our side.
theeastisred
How does Trump, whose own IQ is immeasurably low, think he can judge the IQ of any other person? That's just silly.
bass4funk
He pretty much does, 1) Kim knows we could easily wipe his country off the map if it comes to that and I don’t believe it will and 2) Kim doesn’t want to burn his chances of getting sanction relief, so he’ll hum and haw and bluster and saber rattle, but at the end of the day, the President and the Pentagon knows what Kim wants, that’s our lasting security and if Kim goes off the Deep end, not only will he not get sanction relief, but more will be added as well as a few Tomahawks.
Blacklabel
maybe he told Kim that when he is ready to deal, just announce that Bidan is a low IQ individual.
Thats their secret code. Strangely, I dont see too many people saying Bidan isnt low IQ, just complaining that Trump agreed with Kim.
PTownsend
What? Are the liberals inside your head contradicting themselves?
That would be a good start. It's not surprising Trump, the most dishonest president in US history (regardless what Hollywood-ers like Jon Voight say) has attracted so many like-minded followers.
Though Trump probably doesn't make his own bed, probably never has (spoiled class mommy's boy after all) the expression about making your own bed and lying in it applies.
If Trump would stop lying (where was his father born? How many attended his inauguration? etc.), stop flip-flopping, stop spreading fake news, he might be given a modicum of respect by more in the 'media'. Currently he has Fox'news', RT, Sinclair Media, Breitbart, Alex Jones and numerous other outlets lauding his every move.
bass4funk
Oh, if that were only true...Don and that creepy laugh
I wouldn’t say that at all, I will say, he’s the most scrutinized Presidents who’s every syllable is dissected more than any other President, imagine if the media were THAT critical towards Clinton and Obama...man oh, man....
They can, you have Spike Lee praising Trump as well as Farrakhan, I don’t get your point..
What?
Now I know you don’t believe that, I sure as heck don’t. As I have said before, Trump could cure cancer, praise Obama or Hillary and it wouldn't make a bean of difference to these people, sorry, definitely not buying that.
It’s ok, he has 98% of the liberal media pounding him minute to minute.
SuperLib
For example?
Sounds like Trump has a lot of power and holds all the cards. I guess even with all that he still can't get a deal done?
Jimizo
It goes without saying he isn’t low IQ.
Trump claims he has a very IQ but is probably lying as usual. I’d say it’s above average but not spectacular.
The low IQ trash from the North Koreans was possibly gleaned from reading Trump’s appalling trash on Twitter.
Jimizo
I forgot to add Obama’s IQ was very probably extremely high.
Toasted Heretic
If Trump has such a high IQ, why doesn't he remember praising Wikileaks or all the other contradictory statements he's made over the last few years? Why does he say he doesn't really know staffers when they do wrong? Why does he hire people like Cohen?
Why does he lie so much?
wtfjapan
Liberals are funny, they criticize Trump for lying and then criticize him for being honest. Lol!
well Trumps "the boy who cried wolf" if you lie as much as he does you cant tell when hes actually telling the truth. Or maybe hes just a 4D chess playing stable genius!?
Scrote
Perhaps, instead of debates, the next presidential election should have an IQ test. I wonder if Trump would be up for that?
ArtistAtLarge
Trump is a proven, documented compulsive liar since the 1980s. Even compulsive liars tell the truth once in a while.
They are still compulsive liars. Which means they are never to be trusted and the few times they tell the truth are worthless.
PTownsend
Trump makes problems for himself and should just accept that he does so instead of him and his supporters blaming something they call 'the media'. (A variation of 'Satan' in Trump dialect.) The expression used above 'making one's own bed...' might not be used by Germans; is that why you didn't understand it?

Such a strange, strange president!
Day after day and one weird thing follows another in bizarre-land.

Today is Memorial Day back in the US - where we honor those who gave their life for their country. Part of those we honor are the 54,000 Americans who gave their lives in the Korean War.
Yet yesterday, we have the President of the United States who agreed with the North Korean regime when they insulted and criticized a fellow American, the former Vice President.
Think about that for a second - Trump agrees with and gives aid and comfort to a murderous regime that killed over 50K Americans. He sided with them instead of sticking up for a fellow American who has given his life to public service, and who's son wore our nation's uniform and served in Iraq.
This is one of the most disgusting acts Trump has ever committed, and that's saying something.
Open your eyes Trumpers - you're not only supporting a con-man and fraud, your're supporting a traitor who hasn't the guts to stand up for a fellow American...
Arturo Jamilla
None of them are as smart as they'd like to think they are.

Demonstrably incorrect. We are criticizing him for being a repugnant human being.
Strangerland
People aren't criticizing Trump for 'speaking the truth', we're criticizing him for taking the side of a dictator over his countryman, whom while may have different views to Trump, is the former vice president of the country and a patriot.
Imagine if Obama had taken NKs side criticizing anyone on the right. They would have popped their brains. And here they are trying to pretend they're all nonchalant, like this is normal.
Well, I guess it is the new norm. Just wait and see how much they whine when that new norm is next applied against them, instead of by them.
bass4funk
As I have stated, Kim won’t do anything stupid in the end knowing that not only will he not get sanction relief, he would be obliterated. That’s the main security, the rest is just a large temper tantrum from Kim, so it’s up to him if he wants sanction relief or not.
bass4funk
Some would disagree. The man will never be President, he couldn’t even get the endorsement of his former boss, says a ton.
Actually, I think he does because for one thing, he knows by saying exactly that, he can get under the media’s skin, brilliant. If I were Trump I would say the same thing because what is it that liberals are talking about today? They like to troll Trump, but it goes without saying, Trump loves trolling liberals and the media as well and y’all fell for it. That’s funny.
Jimizo
They’d be wrong. Biden’s career and how he thinks and speaks isn’t indicative of a person with a low IQ. Trump sounds above average to me but not spectacular, and I think growing senility is partly to blame for his brain farts. Forgetting where his dad was born is concerning.
I doubt Biden is at the Obama or Bill Clinton levels of IQ, but Trump very probably isn’t either.
Obama and Bill Clinton. The Democrats do seem to elect the really clever ones, don’t they? I get the sense Democrats aren’t insecure around people far cleverer than them.
bass4funk
I understand that’s how you look at it, but I disagree
https://youtu.be/WfIwMCMJviE
Again, he’ll never be President.....for a 3rd time.
Well, if that’s true then Biden is hopelessly lost with his gaffes.
What? Oh...ROFL!
And lose every time. Lol
Jimizo
You backed Ben Carson, called Trump the leader of a lunatic fringe and said Clinton would win last time. Only a person with a low IQ or a member of a lunatic fringe would trust your predictions.
I don’t get the ROFLing. As for Bill Clinton, he is a very intelligent man. He was one of those ‘road scholars’ you talked about. Obama is another academic high flyer. High IQs.
As for always losing, Bill Clinton and Obama won very handily.
Both won the popular vote every time too.
1glenn
On a day when most Americans remember those who defended us against dictators, this fool uses Memorial Day to praise a dictator.

Imagine if John Kerry went to Iran and sided with a dictator against his fellow American Donald Trump.
oh wait, that happened.
bass4funk
I was wrong and I evolved and No, I was right in my predictions, the media got it wrong, very wrong.
Hey, if you think so, I disagree. I think Trump brilliantly roasted the smartest Republicans and Hillary that with their knowledge of politics, not to mention a hostile media against him, pulled the most radical victory in US politics, pure genius, I couldn’t have mastered such a feat, definitely McCain or Romney couldn’t, Biden won’t, but yeah, they’re smart...ok. ROFL...too funny!
And lost to expanding their base as well, we see the fruits of it now, but as radical as these socialists are, they are digging their own political demise with the way they’re carrying on and I love it. I want Nadler and Pelosi to impeach Trump and hand all of her fellow Democrats a tulip.
But not the EC which is and the only thing what counts.
Jimizo
You backed Carson. You said Trump was the leader of a lunatic fringe which would fizzle out. Before the election you said Clinton would win.
What did you get right?
I don’t think you can argue that Bill Clinton and Obama have low IQs. They have stellar academic backgrounds. Even the most crazed partisan couldn’t say they aren’t intelligent people.
Fake news. Not possible. They both won two elections, therefore, both won the EC twice.
Both won the popular vote twice too.
bass4funk
I was wrong and the pollsters were even more wrong.
The pollsters.
I really think I can on a multitude of reasons.
Well, Hillary didn’t win the EC so no need for tears and the EC will never be abolished, nor should it be.
SuperLib
My question asked what has Trump secured in return for the concessions has given to North Korea. I don't see anything he's received, and you haven't been able to answer the question, so I think it's safe to say we both agree he hasn't gotten anything.
lostrune2
It's common US practice not to attack the President while the President is abroad and representing the US to the world. But in return, the US President not to attack opponents while abroad
Also, it's Memorial Day weekend in the US, when the focus should be those who sacrificed their lives for the country, so political attacks are shoved to the side
If Trump is not gonna follow that, then attacking the President while abroad or during memorial days would be fair game
Davnetcat
@ bass4funk
I like that Biden Gaffes video, makes you just cringe. Drunk Uncle Joe...he's the good ole uncle that gets lubricated at every party and just says whatever pops in his head. Well, we all feel sorry for him with all that brain damage from the multiple aneurysms, so hey maybe we're just gonna grin and ignore it all (not really). And probably everyone forgot his plagaristic speech during a previous Presidential race by now (again not really). So when is Hillary gonna announce?
Jimizo
Just give us one for each. Remember, focus on IQ.
By the way, you used to say you voted for Clinton twice, but later told us you have never voted for a democrat.
I’m guessing you wouldn’t vote for a man you regard as having a low IQ, but it is confusing.
bass4funk
Not a concession, but the assurance for Kim to stay in power and keep his regime, I find that an acceptable one or Kim can fly off the radar, threaten the US and continue to saber rattle, fly bombs over Japan and ultimately face the consequences, if Kim wants to chance it and go down that road, his choice.
.
bass4funk
Seems like Trump is well on his way.
The good news for Trump is that, according to a new CNN poll, 71 percent of us “say the nation’s economy is in good shape.” This is why economic models are predicting Trump’s re-election, and it’s one of the main reasons analysts at Goldman Sachs say Trump’s re-election is more likely than not. If the “it’s the economy, stupid” mantra holds true, then Trump is probably on track to win—especially if his lobbying of the Fed to cut interest rates pays off. But let’s face it, the wind is at his back in other ways, too. For one thing, there’s recent history. Since 1980, four out of five presidents have won re-election. And the last two presidents who lost—Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush—both faced bruising primary challenges (Ted Kennedy and Pat Buchanan, respectively). Despite the internecine resistance that Trump surmounted in 2016 and with all due respect for William Weld and the “Never Trump” movement now, there’s no sign yet that the GOP resistance can hobble Trump, let alone fell him.
https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-2020-presidential-campaign-30-million-reasons-he-will-win-reelection
Oh, and then there’s this...
https://news.gallup.com/poll/247304/trump-rating-economy-top-strength-hits-new-high.aspx
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- President Donald Trump's rating for handling the economy, 56%, is the highest of his presidency and the highest of his approval ratings on any of 14 domestic and foreign issues tested in the latest Gallup poll. Americans' approval of his handling of unemployment is nearly as high, at 54%. At the same time, his overall 43% job approval rating is essentially unchanged since earlier in February but appears to be stabilizing at a higher level than it had been in late 2018 and early 2019.
bass4funk
Hmmm...this is why liberals will never win and they still don’t get it. Trump is doing the job and focusing on the American people and liberals are taking the squabbling who has the bigger IQ. My IQ is bigger than yours and still liberals it’s more important to focus on that insignificant thing. Obama is Not President now, Biden won’t be, Trump is, if he can formulate the perfect strategy to beat Hillary and the GOP, all their so called genius don’t mean squat. In the end Trump got something all of these people wanted, worked on and strived to be and failed....miserably and that’s the Presidency. Lol
No, I said, I wouldn’t vote for one in this days climate, but if there were a moderate that didn’t believe in robbing Paul to give to people and feels they have to punish the job creators regulate all businesses and stop with the BS PC, stop taxing people to oblivion, I might vote for one.
Blacklabel
Except both Obama and Bidan did it to trump while overseas when Trump was a candidate. Then Dems had Cohen testify while President Trump was overseas. But yeah this is never done! (except every time Dems do it)
Blacklabel
And never agree with dictators! Except when Kerry does it in Iran and Obama did it in Cuba
Or when AOC English Omar supported the Venezuelan dictator. Never do this though.
SuperLib
Oh, I was asking what concessions Trump has received in exchange for all of the concessions he's already given Un. Looks like you listed off yet another concession Trump can give to Un.
I suppose you are right, Trump could give that to Un as well. Trump likes giving away the farm to Un.
Jimizo
@Bass
You refuted my claim that Clinton and Obama have high IQs, and my opinion that Biden is quite bright but not at that level.
When I ask you for the multitude of examples you claim to have showing they don’t have high IQs, you start talking about the pointless liberal fixation with high IQs.
Hmmm...
So, just to be clear, you think Obama and Biden have low IQs, and you voted for Clinton twice despite thinking he has a low IQ. Low IQ clearly isn’t a problem for you in a candidate.
Okay.

To the slammer....Manafort can run his campaign for "Inmate of he Year"...

I gave you the answer, I think that makes it 3 times now. If No sanctions were given, he’s got Kim by the brass. Money is what Kim wants and nothing else.
But not the sanctions, Kim is a stewing and stewing and none of that will get Trump to relieve him of those sanctions.
bass4funk
I gave you my explanation, man you guys got a lot of wax today.
Yes.
That’s why I voted Democrat.
smithinjapan
bass4funk: "I gave you my explanation, man you guys got a lot of wax today."
No, you deflected. That's not an answer.
"That’s why I voted Democrat."
Well, it's DEFINITELY why you support Trump now. Glad you can admit it's not an issue. I mean, Trump's what? Half the IQ of any single Democratic candidate running? No wonder Trump is running scared and why he, and you, agree with dictators about Biden rather than be willing to engage in, say, an intelligence test to prove it.
SuperLib
Ah, I see. You don't understand what a concession is. For example Trump gave something of value to Un, and Trump has received nothing in return. Trump has given concessions, but has not gotten anything for them.
bass4funk
I do, but it seems a lot of liberals don’t. Did Kim get sanction relief? He didn’t, What is the most important thing that Kim wants? Relief of those concessions and Trump won’t concede to it. Will never happen. His money is what he needs and he won’t get it not as long as he doesn’t denuclearize.
SuperLib
Yes. The Treasury Dept put new sanctions on NK and Trump ordered them to be removed. Without Trump’s action, NK would be facing harsher sanctions. Thanks to Trump, they will not.
Plus Trump gave in to their long-standing demand to cancel the military exercises.
