Pompeo blames China for hundreds of thousands of virus deaths

If Pompeo keeps up the accusations on China like this (as deserved as they might be) I may just forget what an appalling job Trump did in protecting his own people or his self-serving ways.

But I doubt people will forget this anytime soon or even this coming November. Nice try though .....

On Wednesday, he said the United State did not have certainty, but there was significant evidence it came from the lab.

Given Pompeo's position and access to top secret information it has to be assumed he, like Trump, was made well aware early on by US and other 'western' intelligence agencies of the virus, how lethal it was and how it was spreading.

But they continued to disregard the information they were given, concerned first about protecting themselves and their fellow elite and not at all about the general population.

Pompeo's doing a Trump pointing at 'otherguys' and covering himself while covering Trump and others in the Trump admin.

They're all accepting paychecks and the perks of their positions, while none is willing to accept even the tiniest responsibility for the mounting death toll and the destruction of the economy.

If, as Mr. Pompeo asserts, the worldwide deaths are due to a Chinese cover-up, how is it that countries as varied as Singapore,Vietnam, HK, New Zealand, Australia, and Portugal, not to mention neighbors of the US like Canada, were so much more successful than the US in dealing with the virus? Certainly the US information and intelligence sources are far more exhaustive, and penetrating, than, e.g., those of New Zealand or Portugal. Perhaps it is that they looked to history and to science and not politics and bluster to confront a medical emergency. Perhaps it is that their leaders were not afraid to face the truth and make hard choices.

This angle would be going better for Trump if he had more credibility and if he had acted sooner.

Pompeo has been fired out of Trump's cannon in the opening salvo of the Republicans' desperate fight for survival signalling the start of their election propaganda campaign against "Beijing Biden" and launching their trajectory of xenophobic attacks against the Chinese for infecting America and stealing millions of jobs in their nefarious attempt to destroy "the greatest economy in history of the world". This will be a tremendous blame game, the likes of which nobody has ever seen, but it won't work to remove the orange albatross hanging around the GOP's neck because all Joe just needs to say is the word, "Trumpware!" , show the smiling Xi eating Trump's chocolate cake, run ads of the Potus gushing words of praise for the Beijing bully, and Biden his time. The second wave will do the rest to wash away the orange stain from the Oval Office.

Finally Trump stood up to tell the truth. Most of the nations, the leading politicians all were recipients of Chinese black money and their mouth are shut.

Trump, like Xi, is self-serving and does not deal with truth, which is a problem for the rest of the world.

The world have hope only in Trump.

Western intelligence agencies did not base their assessments off of information from “Wuhan scientists.”

The World Health Organization supported by the Global community wants a full/thorough independent investigation into the origins of this deadly devastating pandemic.

The Government of China has put every obstacle in its way. The scientists/clinical professionals that warned of the dangers, effectively blowing-the-whistle have either disappeared, been subject to house arrest or forced to retract their statements.

Lies and misinformation spew out of every propaganda orifice that the Communist Party of China can muster/summon. Threats, harassment, are the order of the day.

It is time for punitive action. It is time for the Government of China to be brought to account.

The catch is: Where did the Wuhan lab buy bats for collecting samples of virus strains and for experimentation?. Isn't there any possibility that an accident could have occurred in this process, that is, jumping from bats to humans? Nobody knows nor would be able to answer the question by now.

This war of words is really empty and futile efforts, and must be prevented from escalating into a full-fledged cold war.
