Whatever happened to that theory?

What theory? I have never seen this theory posted anywhere.

So I wonder if Bannon will lie under oath.

This should be fun.

Bannon’s refusal to answer questions today is more evidence of Trump and campaign guilt of conspiracy with Russia. Innocent people don’t refuse to answer questions.

Cons mouthing off about Mueller's investigation being a dud every time we hear of movement is in stark contrast to them mouthing off about how we haven't heard anything, so the investigationnis a nothing burger.

It must be a nothing burger basket given the sides of guilty pleas and the sides of indictments.

i wonder if Bannon will have the same selective amnesia Sessions, the Kush et. al had when they spoke with the FBI, etc.

Bannon has an ego just as large as Trumpty. I wonder how he's taken getting pariahed...?

Nothing says "innocence" like firing the FBI director to stop an investigation, putting a gag order on your former Chief Strategist without citing a single reason why, being enraged that your Attorney General recused himself, being and enraged at everyone around you isn't doing more to stop an investigation that would prove you innocent if you're not guilty.

Takeda i dont have to prove it, its already out there. You dont write an acquittal on someone months before the investigation is done on someone

When you make assertion, you prove it. But you can't. None of what you wrote was mentioned in the letter firing Comey.

Furthermore, Trump claimed on recording to have fired Comey to take heat off the Russia investigation. Was he lying then or not?

I agree, just like it's already out there that the president is a rapist. You don't claim that you can just 'grab women by the...' if you aren't a rapists.

The rapist in chief. It's out there. We don't have to prove it.

Nunes has an idea where answers lie, and one place where answers lie is Bannon.

Nunes is a Trump stooge. He recused himself from the investigation because he was found out, but he is still inserting himself in the investigation.

Don't trust anything Nunes does.

That the WH is trying to block testimony is a bad sign for Trump.

Or, petulant man baby. I agree, it all points to (cough) innocence.

My oh my the Whitehouse would seem to have a lot to hide.

Sloppy Steve won't get off so lightly with the Special Council. Heh, the shrillness of the paid Russian

Who cares? Comey is out and thank God for that.

Mueller and thank God for that. ;)

Bannon refused to answer questions, just as Sessions did with his executive privilege stunt, just as Don Jr. did with his attorney-client privilege stunt.

Sounds like a lot of defense for a nothingburger.

How do you know what Mueller knows?

We can all guess as to what the Kompromat is. I'm guessing it's above and beyond a youporn-esque clip of Trump getting peed on in Moscow.

Obstruction of justice will be what brings your "untouchable" down. Possibly and probably money laundering. Don Jnr and miss Kushner are in deeper poop. I'll be here when the news breaks and you go into hiding, comrade. ;)

After Bannon initially refused to answer questions about the matter, Devin Nunes, the committee's Republican party chairman, authorized a subpoena during the meeting to press Bannon to respond.

Nunes has an idea where answers lie, and one place where answers lie is Bannon.

President Trump and FBI director got himself fired for not doing his job period

Prove it. That certainly isn't what Trump said. Was Donny lying?

Says it all ...

Didnt Lois Lerner plead the 5th when she giving supposedly testimony about her agency targeting conservatives to take them out of the 2011 campaign cycle?

There is a difference between pleading the fifth at a Congressional hearing and at a grand jury. A person can plead the fifth at a hearing but not a grand jury. It used to be you can just ignore a Congressional subpoena as a way of getting around testifying or risk of perjury, but I understand that has changes somewhat.

There are also issues with the example you cited, i.e., whether a person can claim the right of silence in respect of non-silent statements (verbal statements may not offer protection from testimony against those statements).

Steve will be taking a bunch of breaks from the grand jury to speak with his attorney who can't be in the room with him. It would be interesting to know what this grand jury has been doing and learning. It is kind of like a group of deputy prosecutors.

If his lawyers conferred with the White House for Bannon not to answer, isn't this proof they're hiding something? Bannon should be threatened jail time if refuse to cooperate. Nobody is above the law.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Nobody with a heartbeat should answer questions from authority without the aid of a lawyer.

How the mighty have fallen.

An administration in tatters and more importantly, a nation deeply wounded.

Our thoughts and wishes are with you during these difficult times. We know you will recover from this illness.

Shouldn't he call for an immediate session of Congress?

No.

Mueller and thank God for that. ;

Ok and then what? Lol

Bannon refused to answer questions, just as Sessions did with his executive privilege stunt, just as Don Jr. did with his attorney-client privilege stunt.

Sounds like a lot of defense for a nothingburger

Seemed to work out well for the last administration. So, why not?

Still nothing on President Trump and FBI director got himself fired for not doing his job period. Normally a 10 year position but this clown could not make past 3 years because he could not follow the law. Bill Clinton was the last President to fire his FBI director Williams Sessions.
