I wonder what or if they learn at the academy. What would you expect or prepare for if you were told to come quickly to a place with ‘domestic violence’? Does that sound peaceful and friendly, with no problems to expect, or does at least the word ‘violence’ say you anything, implying that there could be something like violence? lol

I went to high school with several guys that became Police Officers.

Anyone will tell you, generally, the most dangerous calls you go out on, are

Domestic Violence.

They call it “child maintenance” in France? Weird

With Covid 19 people have lost their minds. Families are being forced to change their lifestyle in a little or no time to prepare. I think we are just at the beginning and we have a ways to go even though their is a vaccine. A lot of financial hardship has been brought upon people and with that comes the stress. My one concern is the young people it just a matter of time when we will see how this stress has affected them. Its not just in France , the US or Japan, this is a problem that every person and every nation is facing.

France is the last place in the world i will ever travel to, everyday have new weird stories over there

Domestic violence incident, a violent man was being violent, the police officers who attended to help the victim are the ones getting blamed for being shot. Shame on those here who consistently blame victims of violence, anyone but the perpetrator, eh.

They are trained military. They went 4 of them with guns. They should first respond to DV calls with a line of tanks and fighter planes ?

The mad guy happened to be a gun expert. It appears he was stocking weapons in his den. He was very determined to kill. A case like this one is the first in decades.

Maybe not this one. The perp got psychiatric care years ago. He turned into a paranoiac prepper in an isolated area in the mountains. That was notorious that he was crazy, but you never know to what extend.

The second pair to get shot arrived after the first responders. The poor woman he was beating had found refuge on the roof and the per set fire to the house.
