Any list of "The Silence Breakers" must include the 13+ women who have accused Donald Trump of forcibly kissing, inappropriately touching or looking at them, or worse.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

educated, adult women claiming to be hapless victims who were too scared or innocent to say anything is questionable.

By that logic, everything is questionable.

But some questions are stupider than others.

Harassment laws have been pretty solid for about 20 years now, why didn't these victims press charges immediately after the incident occurred?

You can answer that question yourself - the phenomenon is well documented.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

For some reason Rose McGowan has been ignored by time.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

oh that guy who they lied about contacting for consideration, he came in 2nd. I said here couple weeks ago it might be a “group of people” or Weinstein. Was kinda doubly right.

-9 ( +2 / -11 )

Children is one thing, but educated, adult women claiming to be hapless victims who were too scared or innocent to say anything is questionable.

That seems to be consistent with Russians' reported reactions to the coverage of sexual harassment in the US. Fortunately an increasing number of people in the 'west', or at least the US, seem to have come to accept that sexual misconduct, especially when done by men in powerful positions, is inappropriate. Public opinion in the US seems to generally reflect that.

But again, cultures change at varying rates. Some people in some countries (won't name them) want to return to their nation's empire days when an authoritarian male leader made all decisions for them and their people. Leaders like Mao, among others, who required young women to serve his needs while he was killing off his own countrymen. The days of Bill Clinton getting away with what he did are gone. Except for those whose political party affiliations trump their sense of morality.

7 ( +8 / -1 )

So, in a way, Trump made it into the Person of the Year issue after all!

5 ( +7 / -2 )

I smell a money-grab me too bandwagon effect!

3 ( +5 / -2 )

Kudos, At least TIme has people representing a positive message as the person(s) of the year.

The whole MeToo thing has been snowballing since Cosby, and it is long overdo.

Children is one thing, but educated, adult women claiming to be hapless victims who were too scared or innocent to say anything is questionable.

Buy a clue or phone a friend.

There is an element of power (career, shame, etc) over these women that enables these men to do what they do. Seems you don't like the fact that these women are speaking up and creating a hostile environment for the men who feel free to act like pigs.

2 ( +5 / -3 )

Well Trump was right about one thing: he wasn't chosen. Got his hysterical retaliation in first this time. And yes very telling that the real winners could not be more anti-Trump.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

@rBush just stick to chicks on Tinder

A Russian's perspective on women shows how different things are there.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Whatever "signal" you think a woman is sending you, ignore it.

Requiring consent is going to be difficult for men who are not used to "getting it"

If you make a pass while she's in a bad mood she can sink your career and humiliate you.

Since it appears you don't know the difference, here is some advice:

if you (male or female) make a pass on someone (male of female) at work, you should be humiliated and your career should be sunk.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

Once again, what started as a positive message lost all meaning once the millions of attention seekers got a hold of it.

For every authentic victim of sexual harassment out there, there are a thousand frivolous claims just so they can get that sweet sweet attention getting #metoo on their Facebook or twitter accounts

-11 ( +3 / -14 )

So Trump was partially right.

Being president pxxxx grabber made home relevant in Time.

16 women wasn't it?

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Why has Al Franken not resigned yet? Has the man no shame?

0 ( +2 / -2 )

@madverts

yet not one charge brought against him. No rape accusations, nothing.

Just a billionaire patting a few women on the ass.

-7 ( +2 / -9 )

Victims should speak out. On the other hand, the principle of suspects being innocent until proven guilty seems to have gone out the window.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

@Madverts

16 that we know about. There's also the allegations of unpleasant goings on with underage girls and walking into teenage dressing rooms.

Eventually, he will face justice. You don't grab a woman by her genitals and get away with dismissing it as a joke.

The patriarchy is about to be restructured and told very clearly, enough is enough. And the men who have made excuses for it are terrified.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Why has Al Franken not resigned yet? Has the man no shame?

He's admitted to the allegations and apologized. I haven't heard of anyone being underage or claiming sexual assault. It all seems very juvenile. Expect a resignation soon though.

Meanwhile, situational morality and sycophants plague the GoP.

If you deny the allegations in spite of evidence showing your denials are lies and are a member of the GoP, then sexual assault is OK.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Children is one thing, but educated, adult women claiming to be hapless victims who were too scared or innocent to say anything is questionable.

Harassment laws have been pretty solid for about 20 years now, why didn't these victims press charges immediately after the incident occurred?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Now Chuck Schumer says Al Franken must resign. Way to be 3 weeks late to the party, Chuck.

As I said before, in order to hold any high ground the Dems needed to act swiftly and decisively and they did not. They all came out in condemnation finally all at the sane time so no one looks especially courageous about it. Kind of like a #metoo but for condemnation.

Rose McGowan was the real “hero”, if there can be one, for this whole movement. Weinstein is obviously the first villain but maybe not the worst one by now.

-6 ( +0 / -6 )

As I said before, in order to hold any high ground

As opposed to holding "high ground" by denying credible accusations backed by evidence and calling the accusers liars????

The GoP = Situational Morality and Sycophants.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

I don’t see any credible evidence for what you are referring to and neither do the voters.

“He who has had 10 attack articles about him on JT” is winning again and seems pretty sure to win.

If the Dems had removed their people in a timely manner instead of slow walking it until there was no choice, maybe that would have been different.

Bottom line you get no credit on either side for removing someone only when you have to, not when you should have. Anyone can pile on as a group at the end.

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Just hope due process of law is being followed in ALL these cases. Otherwise, this is a witch hunt.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Just hope due process of law is being followed in ALL these cases. Otherwise, this is a witch hunt.

No disagreeing about the need for due process. Without proper process, the substantive law is merely platitude.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

I don’t see any credible evidence for what you are referring to and neither do the voters.

Moore's accusers voted for Trump and have no political bone to pick with the GoP.

Their stories and how the stories originated are credible.

Witnesses who were aware of the incidents.

Colleagues at prosecutors offices and police who knew about Moore was chasing minors and thought it was weird and sick.

Moore being kicked out of the Gadsden mall because he was a 30 something trolling for teens.

Moore calling a high school to speak to a student while she is in class.

Denials of knowing the women, but then evidence surfaces in the form of personal notes written by Moore.

No credible evidence whatsoever, as long as the candidate is with the GoP.

Defend a sexual predator if you want.

If the Dems had removed their people in a timely manner instead of slow walking it until there was no choice, maybe that would have been different.

Politicians are different than an employee because the company could have potential legal liability or an immediate hit to their bottom line.

There is political liability for politicians, and that takes time, unless of course you are a GoP politician. In that case, anything goes as long as you lie, deny and threaten with lawsuits that will never be filed.

Trump still has it coming. Several women are moving forward with their lawsuits.

4 ( +4 / -0 )

Bottom line you get no credit on either side for removing someone only when you have to, not when you should have.

Roy Moore

> Now Chuck Schumer says Al Franken must resign. Way to be 3 weeks late to the party, Chuck.

Better late than 12 months and counting (since Trump was first accused).

They all came out in condemnation finally all at the sane time so no one looks especially courageous about it.

Yet some crazy, corrupt conservatives continue to waffle regarding that kiddie fiddler Moore. This means you won't look very good if Moore is convicted, or admits to kiddie fiddling.

Weinstein is obviously the first villain but maybe not the worst one by now.

Are younsaying there are different levels of repugnance based on the victims/circumstances? Even crazy, corrupt conservatives should be able to identify that as being foul. Regardless, surely you agree that kiddie fiddling is quite reougnsnt. (In general terms, without any particular name attached.)

I don’t see any credible evidence for what you are referring to and neither do the voters.

Whether it is seen, it exists.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Trump still has it coming. Several women are moving forward with their lawsuits.

This is probably what will cause his downfall. But even after the inevitable disgrace, I sincerely hope the Russian probe does not go away.

Where does your confidence come from? Dude was elected in the face of all odds/polling. I'm genuinely curious to know the source of you confidence.

(I do realize I'm somewhat calling you out on a public forum, but I just want to understand.)

The truth is coming out and the predators are falling/resigning. Stuff like that always comes out, in the end.

(I do realize I'm somewhat calling you out on a public forum, but I just want to understand.)

Not a problem. It probably seems like wishful thinking on my part but I think we've reached a point where the assaulters, harassers and paedophiles cannot hide anymore.

Give it time. And it's not down to an admitted mistrust and dislike of the man and all he stands for. If it had been Obama, I'd be confident on his political demise, as well.

someone ain’t gonna be happy after Trumps 2nd term!

0 ( +3 / -3 )

So, in a way, Trump made it into the Person of the Year issue after all

More like Harvey Weinstein.

Being president pxxxx grabber made home relevant in Time.

16 women wasn't it?

Allegedly if the stories are true?

This is probably what will cause his downfall.

Doubt it

But even after the inevitable disgrace, I sincerely hope the Russian probe does not go away.

I want Mueller to keep wasting as much US tax dollar as he can and come out looking in the end like a total fool.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

someone ain’t gonna be happy after Trumps 2nd term!

Yes, those who have been sexually assaulted probably won't be happy if the sexual predator gets a second term.

Unlikely as it is.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Yes, those who have been sexually assaulted probably won't be happy if the sexual predator gets a second term.

Unlikely as it is.

Once the Tax reform goes through, it will be very likely.

0 ( +4 / -4 )

Once the Tax reform goes through, it will be very likely.

Not really. Unless you think woman's voices aren't worth listening to.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Good choice for Person of the Year.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Good choice for Person of the Year.

It's not a person. It's a movement.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

What has Bill Cosby wrought

Allegedly

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Yes, those who have been sexually assaulted probably won't be happy if the sexual predator gets a second term.

Dirty Bill got two terms. No Dem lost any sleep over his dozen or more conquests. Back then it was just about sex - now all the sudden everyone on the Left is Ken Starr. Karma I guess.

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

I want Mueller to keep wasting as much US tax dollar as he can and come out looking in the end like a total fool.

Given the two guilty please and two indictments, there has been no waste of tax dollars because criminals have been brought to justice. Funny how crazy, corrupt conservatives are soft on crime.

Since you're so happy about tax payer's money being wasted, you undoubtedly love Trump's penchant for golf. Funny how you don't rail on Trump for playing golf every other day, but railed on Obama for playing. Crazy, corrupt conservative consistency.

How is this:

They are indeed, but just like the Electoral college, we go by that system and not by the popular vote, so Trump should be ok, especially now that there’s more confidence in the the market, can’t wait!!!

related to this:

Not really. Unless you think woman's voices aren't worth listening to

?

If there is so much confidence in the market under the current tax system, why does it need to be overhauled? None of the crazy, corrupt conservatives have even attempted to answer this.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

If there is so much confidence in the market under the current tax system, why does it need to be overhauled? None of the crazy, corrupt conservatives have even attempted to answer this.

uhhhhhhhmmm....because maybe it can be, kinda...sorta.......improved?

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

Given the two guilty please and two indictments, there has been no waste of tax dollars because criminals have been brought to justice. Funny how crazy, corrupt conservatives are soft on crime.

Yes, it’s a waste because it’s a witch hunt, pure and simple. When you have over 7 rogue agents out with a political agenda to get the President, it’s not only a waste, it’s undermining the political process.

Since you're so happy about tax payer's money being wasted,

You’re taking it out of context once again, not surprised.

you undoubtedly love Trump's penchant for golf. Funny how you don't rail on Trump for playing golf every other day, but railed on Obama for playing.

Obama already had a habit of doing nothing, smusing with the Hollywood crowd, partying all the time. Anyway, those days are over, so we don’t need to revisit the nightmare.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Donald Trump should have been co-named (he did come in second place, however) because if he had not won the presidency, HRC would be in the White House and the #MeToo movement would have never seen the light of day. The sexual perversion from mainly holier-than-thou liberals would have continued Unabated and unreported. . . .

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Yes, it’s a waste because it’s a witch hunt, pure and simple.

Nope.

When you have over 7 rogue agents out with a political agenda to get the President, it’s not only a waste, it’s undermining the political process.

Nope.

You’re taking it out of context once again, not surprised.

Incorrect. You haven't made a peep about Trump golfing.

Obama already had a habit of doing nothing, smusing with the Hollywood crowd, partying all the time.

Nope. Trump's constant holidays and golfing make a pensioner look busy.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Nope.

Oh, yes it is, if it weren’t, then why are all of them Democrats? One party witch hunt.

Nope. Trump's constant holidays and golfing make a pensioner look busy

If the GDP was 3.0 % during the last 8 years, I’ll apologize.

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

Tommy Jones: "Incorrect. You haven't made a peep about Trump golfing."

Not true. When pointed out the hypocrisy of him criticizing Obama for doing it and how Trump has done it exponentially more, he deflected and said it suddenly didn't matter. How it was "different" suddenly. Statement enough about a Trump supporter, I'd say.

bass4funk: " One party witch hunt."

Nope. Plenty of GOP people against Trump, too. Some are now even paying Democrats to run against GOP candidates, unless you forgot. :)

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Nope. Plenty of GOP people against Trump, too.

Smith, let’s go over it one more time. No one cares about the Washington establishment Republicans, they never liked Trump anyway, so it’s irrelevant. How many conservatives or conservative donors on his team? How many on his team have given lots in GOP contributions? None. If it were the other way around, the Democrats would lose their minds and rightfully so. Of course it’s a witch hunt in its purest form, Already 2 agents were dismissed for news coming out thst they were heavily bias towards Trump. If you had equal ratio of conservatives and liberals investigating, no one would say a thing, but this is one sided, political and over-the-top partisan.

Some are now even paying Democrats to run against GOP candidates, unless you forgot. :)

Oh, yeah, like.....

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Oh, yes it is, if it weren’t, then why are all of them Democrats? One party witch hunt.

Again, nope.

How is this:

If the GDP was 3.0 % during the last 8 years, I’ll apologize.

a relevant response to this:

Nope. Trump's constant holidays and golfing make a pensioner look busy

? Answer: It isn't.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

It shows how far the U.S. has fallen that this issue is politicized. I cannot fathom how anyone that would call themselves a "man" would treat a woman this way. My father taught me never to do this as I taught my son the same. It is beyond my comprehension.

But people wish to say, like sheep....bah, bah, bah Trump...or bah, bah, bah Franken. Take a cross section of any political part, profession, race and you will find an equal amount of these slimeballs who feel entitled to do as they wish with a woman.

The brainwashing of Americans (and perhaps non Americans who find it necessary to involve themselves in this discussion) seems to be near completion.

As for the women; it is good for them to bring this out. The best case scenario is they feel empowered to bring this up when it happens and not years later.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

Not true. When pointed out the hypocrisy of him criticizing Obama for doing it and how Trump has done it exponentially more, he deflected and said it suddenly didn't matter. How it was "different" suddenly. Statement enough about a Trump supporter, I'd say.

I stand corrected. Though, not making a peep would have been far more effective than displaying intellectual dishonesty. Then again, intellectual dishonesty is all crazy, corrupt conservatives have.

Smith, let’s go over it one more time. No one cares about the Washington establishment Republicans, they never liked Trump anyway, so it’s irrelevant

Establishment republicans are not democrats, which means there are republicans against Trump.

You seem to care about Washington establishment republicans given the amount of moaning you do regarding them.

Of course it’s a witch hunt in its purest form, Already 2 agents were dismissed for news coming out thst they were heavily bias towards Trump. If you had equal ratio of conservatives and liberals investigating, no one would say a thing, but this is one sided, political and over-the-top partisan.

Bass, let's go over it one more time. With two convictions and two indictments, it's not a witch hunt. Of course, I'm sure the grand juries that handed down the indictments were composed of only liberals. And, the lawyers for Flynn and Papadopoulos that recommended the guilty pleas are also liberal.

ROFL. Kudos! Oh my. No wonder Dems have lost over 1,000 legislative seats. God lord. Don't give me that garbage. The FBI is corrupt because it is investigating my guy now! Etcetera.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

I stand corrected. Though, not making a peep would have been far more effective than displaying intellectual dishonesty. Then again, intellectual dishonesty is all crazy, corrupt conservatives have.

Interesting, liberals truly love excuses.

Establishment republicans are not democrats, which means there are republicans against Trump.

In the beginning yes, but now, not so much, but it is true, the entrenched Washington establishment rhinos never liked Trump from the beginning, you’re not really saying anything new here. Trump was elected to rock the status quo, now you may like or don’t care that the status quo is there to satiate its own ambitious hunger and line their pockets with more than enough money to fill a swimming pool, but millions of Americans conservative and liberals don’t.

You seem to care about Washington establishment republicans given the amount of moaning you do regarding them.

Yup! I despise them with the deepest passion.

let's go over it one more time. With two convictions and two indictments, it's not a witch hunt.

Yes, it is, and now news came out of another pro Hillary agent on the team. Listen, I could care less what liberals try to brain wash in the heads of millions, they can believe what they want. There are no conservatives on Mueller’s team and more and more information is coming out about how his witch hunt team is saturated with anti-Trump blood suckers. Now if you want to have an investigation of the President pertaining to possible collusion with the Russians as the President elect, by all means, fine. Do it and make sure it’s fair and impartial. Assemble a team of lawyers that have contributed to both parties and are objective, but loading up with virtually all liberal lawyers and at least 7 being heavily Democrats voters, Hillary supporters and working with Hillary in the past on her email scandal, it just stinks, so the notion that the left try to convey that Mueller is conducting a fair and impartial investigation is laughable.

Of course, I'm sure the grand juries that handed down the indictments were composed of only liberals. And, the lawyers for Flynn and Papadopoulos that recommended the guilty pleas are also liberal.

Wonder why the trials were being held in DC? Let’s see how many votes did Trump get there?

FBI is corrupt because it is investigating my guy now!

Theyre corrupt not because they’re investigating the President, but because of the people that were assembled and the intent for the investigation.

-1 ( +0 / -1 )

This:

Interesting, liberals truly love excuses

is not an appropriate response to this:

I stand corrected. Though, not making a peep would have been far more effective than displaying intellectual dishonesty. Then again, intellectual dishonesty is all crazy, corrupt conservatives have.

It was a crazy, corrupt conservative that was making excuses for why Trump's numerous golf outings on the tax payer's dime was different than Obama's. ROFL! KUDOS. A 1,000 legislative seats lost.

In the beginning yes, but now, not so much, but it is true, the entrenched Washington establishment rhinos never liked Trump from the beginning

At least you're admitting you were incorrect when you said no republicans oppose Trump. Kuddos!

now you may like or don’t care that the status quo is there to satiate its own ambitious hunger and line their pockets with more than enough money to fill a swimming pool

Trump is the worst for satiating his own ambitious hunger and lining his own pockets. Every time he goes to one of his properties, he benefits from the tax payer money being funneled into his pockets. This isn't even getting into the tax "reform."

Yup! I despise them with the deepest passion.

yet your last post included this:

No one cares about the Washington establishment Republicans

Hmm . . .

the notion that the left try to convey that Mueller is conducting a fair and impartial investigation is laughable.

Just because Crazy, corrupt conservatives cannot set aside their personal bias when working, doesn't mean liberals cannot. Mueller was a registered republican the last time his political affiliation was made public. Keep digging.

Wonder why the trials were being held in DC? Let’s see how many votes did Trump get there?

ROFL! Thank you for proving my point that crazy, corrupt conservatives operate in the unicornverse. Keep grasping at straws. Kuddos! Oh, and prove the grand juries were bias.

> Theyre corrupt not because they’re investigating the President, but because of the people that were assembled and the intent for the investigation.

The best and brightest were assembled to investigate issues that go to the very core of our democratic principles. If you hate democracy, that's your thing.
