That's a positive. But I might start to believe Trump's sincere about being 'tough' on China when I read he, Ivanka and Jared have cut all their business ties with members of the Chinese Communist Party.

Well done, A leader with the guts to stand up to China. Enough is a enough!

President Trump is wrong on many issues but here he has my full support. Emperor Xi Must be stopped. He is a dangerous megalomaniac who will stop for nothing in his expansionist madness. He, not Kim or Putin, nor Trump, forms the biggest risk to war.
China, under Xi, must be stopped. And must be stopped now.

But isn’t China supposedly helping Trump win the election? Why would he do this then?

Trump is humiliated by an average American, how can he be tough with China, laughable, Hong Kong citizens are the biggest losers, like Trump, but they lost their last freedom

Xi knows Trump only cares about his and his family's business dealings. Trump's making the CCP members even richer through their deals.
Xi knows Trump's weakening the US, allowing China to become even stronger. All the globe's other authoritarians also want Trump because he's made the US a puny, isolated laughingstock.

The former British colony was returned to Chinese rule in 1997...
That was the first mistake. Would have been better to liberate mainland China from the communists.
... with a law protecting freedoms of speech, assembly and the press until 2047.
What about after 2047? Nah, it'll be fine...

Serrano.... it was a lease. Lease ended. The UK would have been breaking international law and China made it quite clear it was theirs. Hong Kong citizens NEVER had democracy. They have more power now than they ever did under direct UK rule.

China should sanction America for its treatment of black people and other minoritys.

Tough, as in: "President Xi, my good friend and business partner - please, please, please don't be hard on Hong Kong....if you'd like, I'll get down on my knees like I did before when I begged you for campaign help."
"Let's get back to our old friendship - where you granted all those trademarks to Ivanka's companies and I can get my Trump Clothing Line collection made cheap in your sweatshop factories"....
President Donald Trump’s daughter and senior advisor, Ivanka Trump, last month won initial approval from the Chinese government for 16 new trademarks, covering a wide range of products.

Ask Hong Kongers if they're better off now or under British rule.

Haha, that's some wild imagination you got there, lincolnman.

Hey, I just took the word of your team's Repub conservative icon;
*"Trump said approvingly that there was great hostility to China among the Democrats. Trump then, stunningly, turned the conversation to the coming U.S. presidential election, alluding to China’s economic capability and pleading with Xi to ensure he’d win," *

Yes, Biden is competent and Trump is a disaster.

What does Chinese leaders has to concern about this fading away president! China is very happy about Hong Kong hugging tighter with China, they have nothing to lose!
stormcrow
Does Trump really care about Hong Kong, or is he doing this because China is his scapegoat?
