So, Beloved Leader destroyed the DACA program, ruining the lives of approximately 800,000 young people and their tax-paying families, for his own ego's sake. And then he held them for ransom to try to make the democrats pay for his vanity wall.

Now that congress hasn't used our tax dollars to pay for his vanity project, he's having another tantrum at the expense of these kids' lives.

I'd say he's a psychopath, but he's not smart or organized enough. He's just a low-grade sociopath.

Just a reminder: simply pretending a problem doesn't exist does not make it disappear, a fact most learn in kindergarten.

Trump would like the Senate to enact the "nuclear option" to do - what? Deport them all? Trade their legal residency status for $25 billion for his wall? Y'gotta have a plan, Don, and what you're doing - throwing a tantrum - is not a plan.

Oh, and that caravan of Hondurans headed north has nada to do with DACA.

13 ( +17 / -4 )

I know why he's so pissed off : he had to go to church that day.

6 ( +9 / -3 )

I am for a one time DACA program. Make it wide and allow it to cover as many people who were legitimately brought as children to the U.S.

I dislike Trump to the extreme.

Laguna, most likely the caravan has nothing to do with DACA but the caravan itself and the fact that Mexico is actually aiding and abetting this is disgusting. It pi$$es me off to the extreme but I would not let this impact DACA.

The caravan is a whole other issue

4 ( +7 / -3 )

they are not immigrants they are illegals. they can leave and re-enter with a proper VISa but they do not want to do that they want special treatment.

0 ( +12 / -12 )

Since then, the number of arrests has risen and in the first months of 2018 was above Obama administration levels.

All that time and energy by the tough-talking stable genius, and he’s performance is worse than a black community organizer.

Classic.

Crazy Joe allow me to be your editor:

800,000 young LAW-SKIRTING ILLEGAL people

-3 ( +10 / -13 )

Dango, let me be your editor:

800,000 young LAW-SKIRTING ILLEGAL people

800,000 young UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS.

And, let me explain why you are incorrect. First, actions or items are illegal, not people. Second, nowhere in the INA can you find the terms "illegal people" or "illegal immigrants."

Referring to undocumented immigrants as "illegal people," "illegal aliens," or "illegals" is a transparent attempt be conservatives to dehumanized undocumented immigrants so conservatives can act repugnantly towards other human beings.

-1 ( +11 / -12 )

We don't know if he just blurt or means. He just sad military is wasted of money so he will use military money to make wall. Calif and Trump are at odd abojjt DACA.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Tommy - I have to take issue with your post. I am quite liberal and I prefer the word illegal immigrants. Knowing several people who tried to bring spouses to the U.S. legally and seeing what they went through (and in some cases insulting interviews asking about their sleeping arrangements and sex life and implying the wife was marrying for a visa only) I find it offensive that people illegally entering the country are put on the same level when it comes to immigration status.

Change the laws and they will no longer have illegal status.

As an expatriated American I would certainly love to not have to file and pay taxes to the U.S. But I do so every year. If this break is to be given to those entering the U.S. illegally should I get the same treatment when it comes to taxes? If so; why not?

8 ( +9 / -1 )

Good show of leadership from President Trump.

Illegals out!

Now he needs to get the border wall completed.

More good news on Easter weekend!

-7 ( +9 / -16 )

this seriously doesn’t bother any of you anti-trump people? What’s gonna happen when these people arrive?

immigration officials from Mexico's federal government organized 15 buses to take them to their next stop on the long journey north.

-3 ( +8 / -11 )

So, Beloved Leader destroyed the DACA program, ruining the lives of approximately 800,000 young people and their tax-paying families, for his own ego's sake.

No, the Dems or Nancy and Chuck killed DACA. When the President announced he was going to give a path to citizenship to 800k illegal aliens and then raise it to about 2 million in exchange for funding the wall and end chain migration and the visa lottery program, they said, No Deal.

And then he held them for ransom to try to make the democrats pay for his vanity wall.

Vanity? Is there anyone that encompasses the meaning of vanity more than Nancy Pelosi?

Now that congress hasn't used our tax dollars to pay for his vanity project, he's having another tantrum at the expense of these kids' lives.

Because if the Dems won't help him fund his wall, there is No reason he should give them a win and help them with what they want. This is so typical of the left, give, give, give and don't worry about receiving something back in return. Not this time, it's very simple, fund the wall, that's what he and all of us supporters and people that live on the border want, get rid of the chain migration, the visa lottery and in return, you can have 2 million legalized citizens, even though it's something most conservatives hate, but a small price to pay for what we want, but the Dems don't want it, they want they cake and eat it, greedy all the way. Good on the President for drawing the line.

I'd say he's a psychopath, but he's not smart or organized enough. He's just a low-grade sociopath.

Telling the Dems no deal and going around through the military to extract funding for the wall is Gen-i-us.

-5 ( +8 / -13 )

Tommy, we have a legal process for immigrants to enter. Anyone who skirts it is ILLEGAL and all who entered legally should be appalled

1 ( +9 / -8 )

Didn’t we just deport at least 100 violent “young” criminals from Honduras as part of latest MS-13 crackdown? Unaccompanied Minors who Obama let in with no parents. Who is to say some of those people are not in this caravan?

DACA people not “young” either. Liberal misrepresentation to make us think they are children, but they aren’t.

-2 ( +9 / -11 )

this seriously doesn’t bother any of you anti-trump people? What’s gonna happen when these people arrive?

Who has said it doesn't bother them?

More manufactured outrage.

-4 ( +5 / -9 )

Also to my liberal friends I don’t see anyone in the caravan carrying one of your famous 45 foot ladders or any shovels. So a wall would have stopped this crisis as only a few can climb a 30 foot wall. Just proving our point of why a wall is needed.

-6 ( +7 / -13 )

I don’t see any concern. These people are illegally in Mexico yet Mexico is bussing harm north to the USA. Any liberal comments on that? Or just more trump bashing about the poor “undocumented” people? What are we going to do with them?

-5 ( +8 / -13 )

GOOD! Go Trump!

Too bad he can't do the same for liberal expats living abroad!

male and white privilege is a myth, pro life means don't kill babies, pro-gun means right to protect yourself, there is only such 2 genders according to science, communism means doctors and taxi drivers make the same salary and is bad for hard workers, and build the wall means NO ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION is accepted since countries have borders!

Don't let facts get in the way, but young people are severely damaged if you can't see past such simply ideologies to warp your mind.

2 ( +12 / -10 )

Referring to undocumented immigrants as "illegal people," "illegal aliens," or "illegals" is a transparent attempt be conservatives to dehumanized undocumented immigrants so conservatives can act repugnantly towards other human beings.

Try making that argument in Japan. These people are illegal, they don't have the right to demand anything, they are not American citizens, they didn't come in properly, they hide in the shadows, they don't have the ID, passport or certificates stating that they are legal citizens of the US, so they are entering the country illegally, they have NO Right to be here. Why should their status be prioritized before citizens or immigrants coming into the country legally and waiting in line, if they come as a refugee and are properly vetted, I have no issues with that and we should help after that process, that is not what's going on right now and hasn't been for years and years. You have no border, you have no country. The Dems can pound sand, they had a perfect opportunity to get what they want, the Dems couldn't care less about these people, for them the objective is to stop this President from building this wall, so the President said, fine, then you won't get the deal you want, simple as that.

-3 ( +8 / -11 )

This fits even more well into the argument that the wall is actually National Defense now. We need a way to protect our borders from a group of 1000+ illegals who have stated their intention to enter our country illegally. And Mexico is even helping them to get here, so its up to us to defend our nation.

The story of a caravan of immigrants sounds like a Faux News story and no other media is reporting it. Where are the photos and videos and social media. I looked but other than some claim by Faux News have found nothing.

-4 ( +5 / -9 )

Even on Easter. He just can't take a day off from sowing hate and divisiveness.

Ok my work is done. Now off to the golf course for like the 135 time, even after stating he would not have time to play golf like Obama did. What a liar..

Even on Easter. He just can't take a day off from sowing hate and divisiveness

Is that what you call protecting the lives of Americans on one of the most blessed days on the Christian calendar?

sad...

-12 ( +4 / -16 )

The story of a caravan of immigrants sounds like a Faux News story and no other media is reporting it.

Why would all the liberal MSM report on it, gee, wonder why? LOL

Where are the photos and videos and social media. I looked but other than some claim by Faux News have found nothing.

I grew up in a border State, I know better.

Even on Easter. He just can't take a day off from sowing hate and divisiveness.

Now the left are the holder of religious beliefs all of a sudden? What does Easter have anything to do with the left abandoning these DACA people. Thrown away like a broken toy.

Ok my work is done. Now off to the golf course for like the 135 time, even after stating he would not have time to play golf like Obama did. What a liar..

So if the Dems want to do something and they are really serious and really care about these people, just fund the wall, get rid of chain migration and end the visa lottery, then we would know they are serious, but in doing so, that would cut off the Democrats lifeline, so I would never expect them to give in to something that would be their political demise. Immigration is one of their cornerstone benchmark grievance booster.

-5 ( +7 / -12 )

These people are illegal, they don't have the right to demand anything, they are not American citizens, they didn't come in properly, they hide in the shadows, they don't have the ID, passport or certificates stating that they are legal citizens of the US, so they are entering the country illegally, they have NO Right to be here.

Polls show that some 70% of Americans favor some arrangement that will bring those brought to the US as children the right of legal residency - and this number has even included Trump, depending on his mood. The link below provides a timeline of DACA-related events and Trump's chaotic responses.

https://edition.cnn.com/2018/03/23/politics/daca-rejected-deals-trump/index.html

I disagree with your opinion but respect your right to it. In November, Americans will have a chance to vote for new representation; DACA will undoubtedly be a criterion. We'll see how many candidates who share your opinion and have the guts to say so are elected to office.

I grew up in a border State, I know better.

so what, how does that prove the caravan exists?

Blacklabel

a photo on Drudgereport proves nothing. That photo could have been taken anytime with a unconnected event. There is little prove so far, that's what I'm saying.

It was congress that didn't want to finance the Great Wall of America. So let Trump start a crowd fund and everyone who wants it can make a donation.

0 ( +6 / -6 )

BLacklabel

so many previous times you claimed CNN was fake news so what now it's no longer fake news?

4 ( +8 / -4 )

this seriously doesn’t bother any of you anti-trump people? What’s gonna happen when these people arrive?

Given authorities know what is happening and we have the ability to track buses, I'd hope the authorities take anyone that does arrive into custody. Why would that bother anyone?

7 ( +11 / -4 )

so many previous times you claimed CNN was fake news so what now it's no longer fake news?

Black constantly uses CNN as a source when it supports his position and rails against it when it doesn't. It's a classic example of Orwell's doublethink.

3 ( +9 / -6 )

The great negotiator: Retribution and scapegoating are Trump's only negotiating tactics. He can't even get his own party to back him.

Telling the Dems no deal and going around through the military to extract funding for the wall is Gen-i-us.

Yea, he really told them. His actions are "Stuuuu-Pid", Petulant, and Childish.

The defense budget is not some slush fund, and budgets are law.

Of course, Trump has no respect for the law.

Trump isn't a leader. A leader takes responsibility and sets an example for others to follow.

Trump has a multi-billion dollar intelligence apparatus, but he gets his information from Fox News.

7 ( +10 / -3 )

Just like all the economic migrants who come to Japan on dubious grounds, illegally entered foreigners are a slap in the face to all those who have been through the laborious process of legal migration.

I do think there should be some accommodation for those who entered as children though

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Trump could crowd source his wall. 25 billion paid by 100 million donations of $250 should cover it and the donors could have their names etched on the wall like "bass4funk protecting America."

2 ( +5 / -3 )

So in other words, Trump is so petulant and narcissistic that he would ruin the lives of hundreds of thousands of innocent children just to get his vanity wall, and Trump supporters are so petty and hateful that they would cheer for the lives of hundreds of thousands of innocent children's lives being ruined just because it would upset a democrat.

3 ( +7 / -4 )

do think there should be some accommodation for those who entered as children though

sadly, that will only reward the parents who are cheating the system. There must be no exemptions.

-7 ( +4 / -11 )

so what, how does that prove the caravan exists?

The left making excuses again?

Polls show that some 70% of Americans favor some arrangement that will bring those brought to the US as children the right of legal residency - and this number has even included Trump, depending on his mood. The link below provides a timeline of DACA-related events and Trump's chaotic responses.

No one is arguing or disputing that, but that has nothing to do with the Dems keeping their end of the bargain and fund the wall and end chain migration and the wretched visa lottery program.

Trump supporters are cheering during the Holy Week hundreds of thousands of lives being ruined. Very compassionate.

Trump haters are using the weak DACA argument and wanting to make them an important issue over native American citizens disrupting their lives on a Holy Week, very intolerant.

-7 ( +3 / -10 )

bass4funk

The left making excuses again?

I've previously informed you that I'm not "left" but you didn't answer the question which is how does you being born in a border State prove the caravan exists. I just don't see the connection? Orange County is not on the border.

2 ( +6 / -4 )

Wow all this from liberals to avoid answering the question of what do we do about this caravan when it arrives? Just let them walk across? If there were a wall we couid actually prevent their entry which would be safer for all involved.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

bass4funk

But you are not an independent capitalist conservative as I am.

Really? Just how would you even know that and guess what I have had my own business for more than 40 years but I never thought of myself has an independent capitalist. I have given work to thousands but I paid them what they earned, so I failed on that capitalist point. Am I a conservative? Well yes to that on some aspects of daily life.

But you are a member of the American republican party and voted for Trump so that makes you one. I don't vote in any elections since I haven't had the right-to-vote for 15 years. No American/Japanese vote and British vote ends after 15 years of living outside the country.

I do pay the Japanese/American and Brit taxes all in varying degrees but my American one has increased not decreased.

So that means having family near near the San Diego border and having a car, it's virtually impossible for me to drive there and see things for myself is just impossible to experience, right? Come on, don't go there, you'll lose all day on that one.

So being an Asian-American do many Asians cross into San Diego. Being born in Orange County and driving to be with your San Diego family does not in itself make you an expert on illegals crossing the border and you haven't even lived there for decades.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

Referring to undocumented immigrants as "illegal people," "illegal aliens," or "illegals" is a transparent attempt be conservatives to dehumanized undocumented immigrants so conservatives can act repugnantly towards other human beings.

Try making that argument in Japan

As you very often point out, you ‘could care less’ what other countries do or think.

Your running to ‘look what other countries do!’ here seems a bit too convenient. Focus on the country in question. The US is not like Japan.

3 ( +5 / -2 )

If there were a wall we couid actually prevent their entry which would be safer for all involved.

Just checked and Home Depot has their new Spring sale on both ladders and shovels. Trump has 100% failed on the wall. There is no wall, and there is no wall that Mexico will pay for- what happened to Trump's promise to have Mexico pay for it? But even with a wall I can guarantee that ladders have never failed to go over walls (or shovels to go under). And the drug dealers will use sling shots and drones to deliver the drugs. What to do about that? Then boats can just go around the seas. The US is screwed and it's 100% Trump's fault. How many 10s of millions of illegals are there in the USA? And when will Trump begin his mass deportation on them. Even if there is a single illegal in the USA it is 100% Trump's fault now.

And Mexico is even helping them to get here, so its up to us to defend our nation.

And Trump is a big joke to Mexico. Mexico is stiffing Trump on the cost of the wall. Trump is a very poor dealmaker.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

@Blacklabel - First; I am pretty much a liberal. Most likely we disagree on many issues. However on this specific issue I agree with you. This could end up being a big mess. Even worse is Mexico is aiding and abetting this. An example of my thinking: I am for single payer health care....however, this costs money and I think for this (and numerous other policies I favor) immigration to the country needs to be managed. As I said earlier; I do not like paying taxes as a U.S. citizen living overseas, however that is the law so I do so.

I do not like Trump but I agreed with his position (not the way he presented it) on immigration. Right message/wrong messenger. Bill Clinton, by the way, was very much against illegal immigration. An excerpt to his State of the Union Address in 1995 is shown below. The link to this is provided below the excerpt.

"All Americans, not only in the States most heavily affected but in every place in this country, are rightly disturbed by the large numbers of illegal aliens entering our country. The jobs they hold might otherwise be held by citizens or legal immigrants. The public service they use impose burdens on our taxpayers. That's why our administration has moved aggressively to secure our borders more by hiring a record number of new border guards, by deporting twice as many criminal aliens as ever before, by cracking down on illegal hiring, by barring welfare benefits to illegal aliens. In the budget I will present to you, we will try to do more to speed the deportation of illegal aliens who are arrested for crimes, to better identify illegal aliens in the workplace as recommended by the commission headed by former Congresswoman Barbara Jordan. We are a nation of immigrants. But we are also a nation of laws. It is wrong and ultimately self-defeating for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws we have seen in recent years, and we must do more to stop it."

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Really? Just how would you even know that and guess what I have had my own business for more than 40 years but I never thought of myself has an independent capitalist.

I'm sorry, let me rephrase that, all these years, there is nothing that would signal to me that you are anywhere near what would be called a conservative.

But you are a member of the American republican party

I'm not a Republican and haven't been for 22 years.

So being an Asian-American do many Asians cross into San Diego.

I wouldn't know, I'm not asian.

Being born in Orange County and driving to be with your San Diego family does not in itself make you an expert on illegals crossing the border and you haven't even lived there for decades.

I never said I was an expert, I just said, I know very well, been along the border, did many reports on it, seen people cross it, seen people hiding in peoples backyards, so I think I am more than qualified to comment on the issue. The people on the border are tired of the lawlessness and want a stop to this. Mexico has a strong border and is very strict when it comes to their own border security, but we can't because liberals want more votes??

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

As you very often point out, you ‘could care less’ what other countries do or think.

Yes, but to the point I was making, Japan wouldn't tolerate it, neither would Mexico, so then it would be logical, we wouldn't as well. Don't care what these countries think, but they are at least sensible and methodical in their approach to immigration and I applaud them for it and the President for his relentless battle against the left on his issue.

Your running to ‘look what other countries do!’ here seems a bit too convenient. Focus on the country in question. The US is not like Japan.

No, the US has an even bigger problem with illegal aliens, you are very observant.

0 ( +5 / -5 )

No, the US has an even bigger problem with illegal aliens, you are very observant.

And it's all happening under Trump's watch. Home Depot is gearing up for more ladder sales. Trump said the wall would be built from day one. It's has not even started. He has failed.

we wouldn't as well

But Trump is because there is no mass deportation. Just like his broken promise of the Muslim ban.

Mexico has a strong border and is very strict when it comes to their own border security

Where? I have never seen it?

I'm not a Republican and haven't been for 22 years.

You are a Liberal? Really?

seen people hiding in peoples backyards

Really? That means they are not very good at hiding.

So, what are we going to do about the ladders, drones, shovels, and slingshots that penetrate the wall? Trump is totally failed.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Old spanky throwing a hissy fit over the holiday.

"'Caravans' coming. Republicans must go to Nuclear Option to pass tough laws NOW. NO MORE DACA DEAL!" he wrote, adding a threat to kill the North American Free Trade Agreement which is being renegotiated with Mexico and Canada.

Threats, threats, threats.

I guess he's putting all his (Easter) eggs in one basket.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

I guess he's putting all his (Easter) eggs in one basket.

If that is what it takes to properly secure the border, so be it.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

after all the stuff I had to go through to get my VISA to live in Japan, I would be very irked if a few illegals got a special privileged easy road over me. All illegal aliens have a choice to leave and re-enter legally instead of sponging off the workers' taxes for a free ride

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

in this case it really is a “free ride” as Mexico is bussing then to our border where a wall should be. But thanks to dem and liberal interference there isn’t one yet. So what do we do?

0 ( +5 / -5 )

Yes, but to the point I was making, Japan wouldn't tolerate it, neither would Mexico, so then it would be logical, we wouldn't as well. Don't care what these countries think

Right, so you don’t care what Japan and Mexico think. Their thoughts on immigration are utterly irrelevant to you. There is no reason for you whatsoever to reference them.

I think dcog’s point about slapping those who play by the rules in the face is a very good one and I’ve never read a good answer to it.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Right, so you don’t care what Japan and Mexico think.

In the context of how they fell towards the US, I do not, particularly when it comes to our border and immigration issue.

Their thoughts on immigration are utterly irrelevant to you.

Yes, but I do appreciate and admire how they keep illegals out and that's why I applaud the President for taking on that fight.

There is no reason for you whatsoever to reference them.

Because you say so?

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

Once again the right is confused. The wall is an ineffectual use of money insofar as keeping out immigrants. That doesn't mean the left is against immigration control. The left is against wasting money. The right used to be against wasting money as well, but now ideological issues trump (pun intended) financial diligence. But if they can build the wall out of the military budget, they should. It will make them happy, and it adds nothing to the budget, so why not.

The fact that they are in such a hysteria to get the wall built is ironic considering the wall wasn't even an issue until Trump decided to make it one, then suddenly it's the most important thing in the world to them. Pure unadulterated ideology.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

Yet if there were a wall this caravan couldn’t just walk across the border like they can now.

-6 ( +3 / -9 )

in this case it really is a “free ride” as Mexico is bussing then to our border where a wall should be.

OK, I understand that the Mexican government is smuggling its own citizens across the border. But it is till happening under Trump's watch. It is his fault.

Yet if there were a wall this caravan couldn’t just walk across the border like they can now.

No, the Mexican government smuggles then across the checkpoints. The wall is no good and will waste money. But even without the Mexican govt. support they will just use ladders.

after all the stuff I had to go through to get my VISA to live in Japan

What did you have to do? What is so special about your story. Please give us details since you are bringing this up. What steps did you take and the cost to get your visa?

when it comes to our border

That is not being built anyway. And even if it did exist they would use ladders and ropes.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Yet if there were a wall this caravan couldn’t just walk across the border like they can now.

Yeah, they'll just fly in instead, or climb the wall, or burrow under it.

Waste of money. Use military money if you really want it, because I assume you guys have finally realized that you were never going to be able to make Mexico pay for it.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

To reemphasize: Current illegal immigration has nothing, nada, zero to do with DACA.

Politicians who espouse deporting young adults brought to the US as children are welcome to run on that platform in November. Certainly, that position will garner votes for some in conservative districts, while it will repel those in others. After the votes are tallied, we'll see where we are.

The government of Mexico does not aid its citizens or those passing through its territory to migrate illegally to the US, whatever Trump and those who parrot him say, aside from issuing information regarding the dangers of such illegal crossings. The current "caravan" of Honduras moving north is supported by an NPO, not the Mexican government. The rationale for the group movement is to prevent criminals from preying on individuals or small bands, a horrific occurrence which happens all to often.

Now, the government of Mexico could turn these migrants back, but they know these people would then try again as individuals or small bands, so that would simply make matters worse. Also, governments need the cooperation of other governments in good faith, and when that good faith breaks down, expect no cooperation. And of course, how much cooperation you get from a foreign government depends on what level of cooperation you are ready to provide yourself. This is simply another example of where Trump's continued bellicose, irresponsible rhetoric has shot America in the foot.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Current illegal immigration has nothing, nada, zero to do with DACA.

You can't argue this with a Trump supporter in fact:

Mexico is bussing...

(JT poster)

Trump supporters even think that the Mexican government is sending their citizens secretly to the United States. Also, Trump supporters have never heard of the concept of ladders and ropes to go over walls.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Lots of news for one little DACA statement on

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

nope they wouldn’t be flying. Cause they are walking, just like they have done previously because they can walk right across. At least a wall forces them to try to fly where at the airport they would be stopped for no visa.

And the article says Mexico is providing busses for them for their long journey north....didn’t read that?

you guys and your ropes and ladders and tunnels. Not like we would just let them climb over and at least they would know what they are doing is wrong. Do you see people climbing the walls anywhere else? Nope.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

Just don’t want to read cause it doesn’t match your preferred narrative.

as local authorities and immigration officials from Mexico's federal government organized 15 buses to take them to their next stop on the long journey north.

yep Mexico’s federal government is in fact assisting people to illegal enter the USA.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

An additional point: this "caravan" issue should be resolved diplomatically through the cooperation of the US ambassador to Honduras (there isn't one), the US ambassador to Mexico (Roberta Jacobson, who announced her resignation in February, effective in May, due to her tensions with Trump; her replacement has not been announced), the Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs (currently occupied by an acting appointee), and the Secretary of State (the chaos Trump's caused in that department requires no mention).

Trump can't handle a few hundred Hondurans marching through Mexico in plain sight - and he expects to negotiate with Kim Jong Un?

5 ( +6 / -1 )

It’s not for Trump to handle as these people are illegally in Mexico already and should have been turned back not bussed north.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Wow all this from liberals to avoid answering the question of what do we do about this caravan when it arrives?

Barbarians at the Gate. Trump will save us.

Trump and his supporters (including Fox) are playing this for all it is worth. It is as if we have an advancing army of goths ready to rape and pillage. Be afraid, be very afraid!!!!!

Apparently, this caravan has been happening each year. Last year, 2 people out of maybe 200 where given asylum in the U.S.

Yes, but I do appreciate and admire how they keep illegals out and that's why I applaud the President for taking on that fight.

Because What?? Mexico is full of rapists and murderers who take good paying jobs away from legitimate Americans?

All of the Mexicans I knew (even working on farms) in Florida were there legally.

Face it, like Hitler, Trump needs a boogyman, and he is willing to spend billions of tax dollars to protect you from that boogyman.

But what about the woman killed in SF by an illegal immigrant? He got off, the dirty illegal. Yea, how many American's "get off" the hook for murder? OJ is an easy example, and there are thousands like him every week.

But what about the cruel MS13 gang? It is as if the U.S. doesn't have power to arrest everyone in a gang for the acts of one of its gang members.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

Blacklabel: Didn’t we just deport at least 100 violent “young” criminals from Honduras as part of latest MS-13 crackdown?

For those of you who don’t know, MS-13 is a violent gang consisting of mostly illegal immigrants. Their actions are front page news on conservative websites. The goal is to link the thought of undocumented immigrants to violent people.

You see it in action with blacklabel’s comments. Despite no evidence of violence from this group of people traveling through Mexico, his mind goes there first. It produces fear for which the only salvation is Trump and conservatism. Vote for them and support all of their proposals or else MS-13 will thrive and eventually come for you and your children.

You see the same with dictators. Russia successfully linked the situation in the Ukraine with neo-Nazis by focusing on them exclusively, so a group of 500 people are suddenly responsible for the entire civil war and must be stopped. Conservatives are borrowing from this playbook.

You also see it with BLM. Conservatives only mention BLM in the context of violence, so the average uneducated conservative now thinks the focus of everyone who uses the BLM tag is violence. It’s a device used to dismiss BLM’s message....they’re all just violent criminals.

5 ( +6 / -1 )

MS-13 is from Honduras. You can’t prove to me that none of these people in this caravan are not some of the same violent people who we just deported.

That’s why countries have borders to keep people out and visas are required for visits and applications for legal immigration.

No one will answer my question about what we do when Mexico drops them off the bus at the US border?

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

Why should I have to simply “hope” that none of these caravan people are violent or previous deportees? They have no authority to enter the US but liberals want to talk about everything but that fact. Mexico won’t do its part to secure their side of the border so it’s up to us. Build the wall.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

So I guess liberals want to believe MS-13 is a made up boogeyman by the "racist orange dotard". Except its not.

Here is one, there are hundreds of other murders and assaults which Google can tell you all about.

http://www.fox5dc.com/news/local-news/2-more-arrested-in-ms-13-killing-in-which-victim-stabbed-100-times-decapitated-had-heart-cut-out

Stabbed 100 times, head cut off, heart cut out.

-3 ( +3 / -6 )

MS-13 is from Honduras. You can’t prove to me that none of these people in this caravan are not some of the same violent people who we just deported.

And you can't prove that Trump isn't half orangutan. But there are lots of things that you can't prove. So it's an entirely ridiculous line of logic.

4 ( +7 / -3 )

For those of you who don’t know, MS-13 is a violent gang consisting of mostly illegal immigrants. Their actions are front page news on conservative websites.

So what you're saying, conservatives should not report on the violence of these people just like the libs do with everything else that involves minorities, but are quick to point out White extremist attacks in a heartbeat?

The goal is to link the thought of undocumented immigrants to violent people.

The crime prevention stats proves it.

Pretty much in a nutshell

From the ultra liberal LA Times.

You see the same with dictators. Russia successfully linked the situation in the Ukraine with neo-Nazis by focusing on them exclusively, so a group of 500 people are suddenly responsible for the entire civil war and must be stopped. Conservatives are borrowing from this playbook.

What? Oh, ROFL

You also see it with BLM. Conservatives only mention BLM in the context of violence, so the average uneducated conservative now thinks the focus of everyone who uses the BLM tag is violence. It’s a device used to dismiss BLM’s message....they’re all just violent criminals.

Message? You mean like "What do we want, dead cops, when do we want it? Now!" Yeah, I would call them criminals and using scare tactics and intimidation in order to meet their objectives, breaking the law, jumping on the bench of the court. These people belong in prison.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

No one will answer my question about what we do when Mexico drops them off the bus at the US border?

Because Mexico does not drop them off the bus at the US border. Google articles about how harshly Mexico tends to treat Honduran refugees. They only help the Mexican government has provided is not hindering them, and that's likely due to the number being larger than Mexican immigration could handle (a deliberate tactic by Pueblos Sin Fronteras, the NGO which is coordinating the move).

Read my below post re: how Trump's bone-headed moves eviscerating America's diplomacy corps have paralyzed its ability to cooperate with foreign governments.

So the answer comes in several parts: Mexico is not dropping them off, no one knows what the US will do, and a large portion of responsibility for this lies with Trump. Any other questions?

7 ( +8 / -1 )

Interesting that providing busses to make their journey to the US border faster and easier isnt considered "help".

But ok if its Trump's responsibility somehow, then Im sure you wont mind when he has border patrol deny entry to them all and send them right back into Mexico. Mexico can then return then to their own countries from there, seeing as they have no desire to "help" these people.

-4 ( +3 / -7 )

Because Mexico does not drop them off the bus at the US border. Google articles about how harshly Mexico tends to treat Honduran refugees.

I feel bad for the Hondurans, but I’m an America, I care only what happens in the US.

They only help the Mexican government has provided is not hindering them, and that's likely due to the number being larger than Mexican immigration could handle (a deliberate tactic by Pueblos Sin Fronteras, the NGO which is coordinating the move).

Ok, and?

Read my below post re: how Trump's bone-headed moves eviscerating America's diplomacy corps have paralyzed its ability to cooperate with foreign governments.

As if Mexico was eve sincer on solving the problem, give me a break.

So the answer comes in several parts: Mexico is not dropping them off, no one knows what the US will do, and a large portion of responsibility for this lies with Trump. Any other questions.

No, I just want the wall built a beef up on border patrol and arrest and send back all illegals and particularly the violent offenders.

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

So Trump wants an FTA with Japan that opens up the fruit, vegetable, beet etc market. But Japan doesn't have to worry. With DACA dead, there won't be anyone to do that kind of work, so there won't be any stuff to export to Japan.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

No, I just want the wall built a beef up on border patrol

Both a wall and more people? Who is going to pay for that? But there will be ladders, shovels, drones and slingshots that will defeat the wall. Then how about the Canadian border? ISIS could come down from north. What should be done about that?

Interesting that providing busses to make their journey to the US

Is the Mexican government really driving Mexicans to the US? Is that on Infowars or something? I missed that. But again, how about shovels, ladders, drones, and slingshots for the wall?

So I guess liberals want to believe MS-13

How many have you met personally?

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Who knows what Trump's DACA 'policy' will be tomorrow, or next week, or next month? He certainly doesn't.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

For about the 3rd time, its in this exact article on this very website that the Mexican federal government is providing buses to the caravan people to help them come north, (hint: the USA is north of Mexico)

Why would I have to meet an MS-13 gang member? Google tells me all I need to know about their barbaric and violent crimes in both the USA and their home countries.

Trump had a deal on the table for DACA for months and gave Congress a deadline of almost a month ago. Deal is off the table now, as the other side didnt want it.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

No, I just want the wall built a beef up on border patrol and arrest and send back all illegals and particularly the violent offenders.

I can agree on patrols and catching illegals. I don't want violent offenders coming through, undocumented foreign spies, terrorists or saboteurs.

A wall is just a waste of money. Buying a fleet of drones or balloons make more sense. Park a satellite over the area....

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Interesting that providing busses to make their journey to the US border faster and easier isnt considered "help".

Black, show me one article from any reputable source stating that Mexico is deliberately providing to this "caravan" and I'll concede. A note from a reporter on the ground says:

The caravan propels itself forward using whatever way it can. Sometimes that means packing into the back of a truck, negotiating lower rates for vans, or hitching a ride on the back of empty big rigs from whatever town they're in. The group sleeps in town plazas. Local townspeople and churches feed them.

So please, Black, prove me wrong. Show me any reputable info that Mexico is busing these Hondurans to the US border.

https://www.buzzfeed.com/adolfoflores/a-huge-caravan-of-central-americans-is-headed-for-the-us?utm_term=.oubogB69g#.nxpmyrwqy

4 ( +5 / -1 )

I feel bad for the Hondurans, but I’m an America, I care only what happens in the US.

And sadly, that's one of the reasons why the US is now the way it is.

Charlatans and purveyors of hate have taken center-stage, professing their love (ewww) of America and their isolationist stance, at the same time dictating to other countries, threatening conflict (trade or military) and treating their own youth (DACA and students literally under fire) with the utmost contempt.

It's not pray for America anymore. It seems increasingly like prey.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Why would I have to meet an MS-13 gang member?

I'm friends with them and I know they are very good people. MS-13 being dangerous is fake news.

Mexican federal government is providing buses to the caravan people

My source says that the Mexican government has built highways deep underground (so deep they cannot be detected) and they bus Mexicans to the American side to secret site. It makes sense. Why would the Mexican government just bus their citizens to the border just to be stopped. There are illegal underground highways that the Mexican government has built.

Easy to criticise from comfy Japan.

Why are Trump fans in japan?

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

Fine, here is the source article for this very article on this very website where we are commenting that also says buses are being provided from the Mexican government. Maybe you guys will be able to read this one, as you cant seem to read the article right above these comments to see the same thing.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-says-daca-deal-young-immigrants-off-155002676.html

In the town of Ixtepec, more than 1,500 men, women and children from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala waited in a sweltering warehouse on Saturday, mattresses rolled and bags packed, as local authorities and immigration officials from Mexico's federal government organized 15 buses to take them to their next stop on the long journey north.

-3 ( +4 / -7 )

I Googled the town of Ixtepec; it's a bone-dry town of 24,000 still recovering from the recent twin quakes in no condition to host 1,400 refugees with nothing more than rucksacks. I also Googled, using a variety of phrasings, "Mexican government providing transportation to Honduran refugees to reach US border" and came up empty handed.

If it were the case, it would be news big enough to warrant headlines, but all you've a half-line in a Yahoo article. Some people will fall for anything.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

buses are being provided from the Mexican government

Fine, but it's only half the story. The other half is their routes are deep underground then come up on a secret spot on the America side.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Im sorry only one mainstream article mentioned it but it’s the article this website chose to post for comments. Of course it’s not the headline, the headlines are required to be anti-Trump, which the buses fact is not.

A yahoo news article was fine to use for justification for a FISA warrant to spy on Americans though.

the National Border Patrol Council union chief Brandon Judd also said this:

"First off, you have got a Mexican government entity that is assisting these individuals that are coming up to the United States,” Judd said. “These individuals do not have passports or legal documents to be in Mexico, yet you got an agency that’s helping them get to our [U.S.] border."

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

So there is NOT a caravan of illegals headed toward the US border? Many news sources with pics and videos say otherwise.

And Trump didn’t kill DACA he cancelled the illegal order which illegally authorized it in the first place. But thanks to liberal courts the Supreme Court will need to rule on that too.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

So there is NOT a caravan of illegals headed toward the US border?

That doesn't make any sense. The US border staff would just turn them away. The real story is there is a secret underground highway that does deep beneath the ground and comes up in a secret location on the US side. Just driving the Mexicans to the border would be wasting time.

But thanks to liberal courts

What makes them Liberal? Because they shot down the Muslim ban? And they won't have Hillary arrested? They also won't have Obama arrested for wiretapping?

What will Trump do about the ladders and ropes to go over the walls?

0 ( +2 / -2 )

"First off, you have got a Mexican government entity that is assisting these individuals that are coming up to the United States,” Judd said. “These individuals do not have passports or legal documents to be in Mexico, yet you got an agency that’s helping them get to our [U.S.] border."

Oh, Brandon Judd, the National Border Patrol Council union chief who led his union to endorse a GOP candidate in the primaries for the first time in the union's history (Trump, as it turns out), an act that almost got the union kicked out of the AFL-CIO, which discourages such early horse picking. What might that "agency" be, one wonders. Could it be the same responsible for this:

Unsurprisingly, Mexico will still play an important role in stemming renewed migration from Central America. Since 2013, the country has cracked down on the passage of Central Americans through its territory, particularly in the major transit state of Chiapas. Mexican authorities monitor the railways and roads more heavily than they once did, and the number of migrants deported each year nearly doubled between 2013 and 2016 to reach 153,000. This type of cross-border cooperation is crucial to the border security of Mexico and the United States alike -- something security professionals in Trump's Cabinet will doubtless take into account as the administration crafts its policy on other issues of interest to Mexico, such as the renegotiation of NAFTA.

Of course, '13 to '

3 ( +4 / -1 )

...of course, '13 to '16 were Obama years, heavy on carrots. Trump's replaced the carrots with insult-laden sticks. I don't believe there's any centrally-coordinated effort to move Central Americans north - but I do believe Trump is responsible for greater sympathy on the part of locals for these migrants' plights and a growing aversion to Trumpian America. Black, use logic on occasion.

And sadly, that's one of the reasons why the US is now the way it is.

Maybe we differ on that statement in the actual meaning.

Charlatans and purveyors of hate have taken center-stage, professing their love (ewww) of America and their isolationist stance,

Hate? If you want to talk about pure unfettered hate, go through any Black urban city throughout the US and you’ll see how Liberal Democrat policies have destroyed so many Black lives, that’s raw and pure unfettered hate from a party that proclaims to be the champion of the underdog and racial discrimination when in fact, they are the ones perpetuating it and milking it to the highest level.

at the same time dictating to other countries, threatening conflict (trade or military)

But we should allow them to threaten us with Nuclear annihilation and we should just allow it, take it on the chin and be pushed around by our adversaries because the left is afraid to get into an altercation? Wrong President, wrong party. The days of running like a scared cat are over. We want and should strive for peace, but that doesn’t mean, I’ll allow you to punch me in the face. Ain’t gonna happen!

and treating their own youth (DACA and students literally under fire) with the utmost contempt.

Please tell that to the two main Dems that screwed it up, Pelosi and Schumer, they said, No deal to the President, oh, well....

It's not pray for America anymore. It seems increasingly like prey

That’s exactly how the Democrats treated these people, like political prey. You right.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Hate? Nope. You can argue that the policies they pursue do more harm than good, but I don’t see how you can interpret this as raw and unfettered hate. It wasn’t the Democrats getting crowds whooping at rallies by pointing fingers at minorities. That was Trump. You must admit, Trump got the lion’s share of the racist nutters on his side. The KKK weren’t endorsing democrats and those carrying the torches weren’t wearing ‘you can pee next to me’ t-shirts.

You must have an extremely low opinion of black people. They vote for people who hate them and can’t see it?

1 ( +4 / -3 )

It wasn’t the Democrats getting crowds whooping at rallies by pointing fingers at minorities. That was Trump. You must admit,

Yeah, and? When libs get on a bashing spree with their favorite iconic hero’s like DiNero saying he wanted to punch the President, not only made him look like a complete Hollywood moonbat, but the crowds whooped it up, but that’s ok, right? Give me a break!

One man was winding racists up and pointing fingers at minorities. His message was well received and applauded by racists.

Another man took exception to this and said he wanted to punch him in the mouth.

I think both are wrong but surely you see that the first man I mentioned presents more of a danger to decent society.

0 ( +3 / -3 )

Bass: Because I’ve been more than a dozen times throughout these cities and I see how liberal polices decimated the Black family.

Do you still support denying housing to black families? Or was the just a temporary thing during a time when renting to any black person was just too dangerous?

Jimizo: You must have an extremely low opinion of black people. They vote for people who hate them and can’t see it?

Yep. Less then 10% of blacks identify as Republican, and it’s because they just aren’t capable of understanding how the GOP is the better choice. Because they are just too stupid.

Find any article on Fox News that involves a black person. You will find 2 things in the comments section: openly racists attacks on black people, and that racism isn’t a real thing, just something blacks say because of liberal media, meaning black people arent talking about their life experiences, they are just repeating what they read somewhere.

Thats not a joke.

3 ( +4 / -1 )

Do you still support denying housing to black families? Or was the just a temporary thing during a time when renting to any black person was just too dangerous?

I could care less about color, I care more about the intent and actions of the person(s) and if they are an impediment to my business, race, gender, religion or color has nothing to do with it and if a certain race or group of people feel isolated, then that’s on them and how they internalize it, doesn’t have anything to do with me.

Yep. Less then 10% of blacks identify as Republican, and it’s because they just aren’t capable of understanding how the GOP is the better choice. Because they are just too stupid.

No, just conditioned and many are resistent to change, sorry, but that’s the truth.

Find any article on Fox News that involves a black person.

I found quite a few. What is up with you libs and FNC. FNC is not the face or the Republican Party or even hard hitting conservatism.

You will find 2 things in the comments section: openly racists attacks on black people, and that racism isn’t a real thing, just something blacks say because of liberal media, meaning black people arent talking about their life experiences, they are just repeating what they read somewhere.

I never saw anything racist, I did however pundits, Black and White speak the Truth about the plight of Blacks. Kevin Jackson, Larry Elder, Alan West, Herman Cain, Mia Love, Nigel Inis, Harris Faulkner, Eboni.

So I really don’t get your gripe. So let me guess, they don’t know what they are talking about? They are sell outs or Uncle Tom’s, they were brainwashed into working for the network or they’re self-loathing? Take your pick, this should be good. Lol

-3 ( +2 / -5 )

One man was winding racists up and pointing fingers at minorities.

He has no more control over a few racists than the left has at controlled ANTIFA or BLM.

His message was well received and applauded by racists.

The same goes for the ANTIFA and their love for violence and smashing property and intimidation and physical assaults.

Another man took exception to this and said he wanted to punch him in the mouth.

Trump haters and ANTIFA members DID punch out a lot of people.

I think both are wrong but surely you see that the first man I mentioned presents more of a danger to decent society.

I don’t think that at all, now the left do worry me a lot with their crazy illogical rhetoric propensity towards physical violence.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

Well I think it's great that you've abandoned your position that denying housing to blacks is ok. Before you were giving some convoluted explanation involving the mafia and squatters or something, never really got it, but you used it to justify Trump's discrimination and said you'd do the same. Let's hope it's just not a temporary memory loss issue.

Can you post some links from Fox with stories about black people? We can check out the comments together to verify our claims.

And have you ever sat down and talked to blacks about these issues? Perhaps you can calmly explain your position in a way they will accept and understand. By the end of the chat, maybe they will agree that voting for a guy who lost a discrimination case against blacks and retweets/follows white supremacists is in their best interests.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Well I think it's great that you've abandoned your position that denying housing to blacks is ok.

Abandoned? I never believed it in the first place.

Before you were giving some convoluted explanation involving the mafia and squatters or something, never really got it, but you used it to justify Trump's discrimination and said you'd do the same. Let's hope it's just not a temporary memory loss issue.

Which is very true.

Can you post some links from Fox with stories about black people? We can check out the comments together to verify our claims.

I’m not going to go through any archives, you can do that yourself. If I can find a ton of stuff, I’m sure you can too,

And have you ever sat down and talked to blacks about these issues?

All the time.

Perhaps you can calmly explain your position in a way they will accept and understand.

Difficult, they're liberals and it’s not easy talking to liberals about anything.

All the time.

Perhaps you can calmly explain your position in a way they will accept and understand.

Difficult, they're liberals and it’s not easy talking to liberals about anything.

Now I'm confused. Does the above mean you only talk to liberal black people and you cannot comprehend them because they are liberal or black? Do you talk at them or down to them?

And if you do talk to black liberals all the time - why is it you don't get their concerns?

1 ( +4 / -3 )

now the left do worry me a lot with their crazy illogical rhetoric propensity towards physical violence.

Abandoned? I never believed it in the first place.

So you've never believed discriminating based on race is housing is acceptable.

Which is very true.

So you support Trump's discrimination based on race in housing, and you'd do the same.

I think what you're trying to say is, "I'm not racist, I just support racist policies from time to time." It's that distinction that's important to make.

I’m not going to go through any archives, you can do that yourself.

OK, I'll post some links from time to time and we can check out the comments.

Toasted Heretic: Does the above mean you only talk to liberal black people and you cannot comprehend them because they are liberal or black? Do you talk at them or down to them?

He sits and down explains to them that supporting a guy who discriminates against them in housing and hires an Attorney General denied a promotion for racist remarks is in their best interests. He's done this many times with many different races and they always end up agreeing with him in the end. The conservative riding in on his white horse and saving the minorities.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

Now I'm confused. Does the above mean you only talk to liberal black people and you cannot comprehend them because they are liberal or black? Do you talk at them or down to them?

I don't know how it is in Europe, but in the US most Blacks vote Democrat by default, Black Republicans are fewer in numbers.

And if you do talk to black liberals all the time - why is it you don't get their concerns?

I do, but I think most outsiders that haven't lived near them or raised around them wouldn't know anything about the social interactions, culture, customs and food. Most Blacks that I know that are conservative understand at how destructive Democratic policies have been for over the last 50 years and decimated the Black community.

Like Spanky calling on cops to rough up suspects?

So what's the problem?

Or saying he'd like to punch somebody in the face?

Robert DeNiro said, he wanted to punch the President in the face, so basically your saying, if you are the President, you don't have the right to express your feelings or resentment towards personal injustice. For you a brief history insight, Trump wasn't the first President to say something like that.....

http://www.rjgeib.com/heroes/truman/truman-daughter.html

Or that he could shoot someone and get away with it?

Has that happened? No, it hasn't. I think it's worse when the President of the US is caught on a hot mic saying to the former President that "once my elections is over I'll have more flexibility to work on the missile defense shield."

-4 ( +1 / -5 )

So you've never believed discriminating based on race is housing is acceptable.

You already know my answer, I don't believe in discriminating against anyone, but as a businessman and if there are groups of people destroying or bringing my company down, if they work for me I will fire them, if they live on my property, I will make them leave, now if people want to try and make it a racial issue, then so be it. People have every right to think as they choose to, but they are not entitled to point fingers and call someone a racist without a shred of evidence.

I think what you're trying to say is, "I'm not racist, I just support racist policies from time to time." It's that distinction that's important to make.

You don't put words in my mouth, I support the rule of law and the right to keep my property clean and respectful, uphold my values in my residential properties. I have the right to form and opinion and the right to freedom of speech, that's the important distinction.

OK, I'll post some links from time to time and we can check out the comments.

And when the time comes and it is relevant to the topic I will as well.

He sits and down explains to them that supporting a guy who discriminates against them in housing and hires an Attorney General denied a promotion for racist remarks is in their best interests. He's done this many times with many different races and they always end up agreeing with him in the end. The conservative riding in on his white horse and saving the minorities.

That's it? The Democrat Party have done far worse and I would say destroying the Black family is the mother of all shameful bureaucratic lies

-5 ( +2 / -7 )

but as a businessman and if there are groups of people destroying or bringing my company down

What company is that? Because I have a corporation too and I don't have a problem because I am a competent manager.

uphold my values in my residential properties

I have lots of those too. I have a house in every corner of the earth.

Bass: You already know my answer, I don't believe in discriminating against anyone, but

Glad to hear that. Before you were defending Trump’s actions and said you would do the same. Now we both agree that it’s a good thing the feds stepped in and ended Trump’s discrimination against blacks.

But the question still remains: How do you explain that part to your black friends when you say they should be voting for him?

I support the rule of law

We’ve been over this already. You sometimes support the rule of law. In the Joe Arpaio case you said it’s OK to violate the rights of legal American Latinos if the goal is to catch the illegal ones along the way. And before you sudden 180 on the housing issue, you supported discrimination in housing against blacks as well. The darker the skin color, the less you believe in the rule of law.

Bass: they live on my property, I will make them leave,

And just to clarify, the issue was that Trump wasn’t allowing blacks to rent. He didn’t allow them in, then removed them for destroying property, so I’m not sure what that comment was about. If you skin was black, you were denied housing. They even labeled the applications with a “C” to stand for colored.

You said you read the discrimination case against Trump so these are things you once knew, but have since forgotten. I’ll be happy to repost it if you’d like a refresher. I believe for a time you had the opinion that everyone who worked on the case from the lawyer to the judge to Trump’s own employees lied to frame Trump.

But it looks like you forgot that as well.

He’s just tweeting garbage. Garbage in, garbage out. I wish people would stop getting so worked up about a senile old man tweeting about the garbage TV he watches, then maybe he would stop doing it. Until the constitution is amended to allow legislation by tweet, there is no point in everybody freaking out about the stream of consciousness live blog on Twitter.

It's the Democrats who are holding hostage 2 million illegal immigrants they pretend to champion. President Trump originally offered Democrats a deal that more than doubled the number of people who could take advantage of a pathway to citizenship.

It was a major concession on the part of the President. In exchange for his generosity he’s requesting money to build the wall and an end to chain migration. But it seems that’s not enough for the extremist base of the Democratic Party, because they’d rather keep 2 million people in limbo in order to have the issue to use against Republicans in the 2018 elections. Democrats are losing votes across the country, and they will loose even more if the DACA recipients wise up and see who is really preventing them from becoming U.S. citizens.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Glad to hear that. Before you were defending Trump’s actions and said you would do the same.

Yes to both depending on the situation, but I don't and never believed his actions were racist, never believed the man was racist, seen many people of all different races that completely debunked that claim, so the haters can believe he's a racist, I do not.

Now we both agree that it’s a good thing the feds stepped in and ended Trump’s discrimination against blacks.

I wasn't there, but having been to NY multiple times on summer retreats and having family there, I know how the climate was back then, so I could understand the move.

I never believed the report knowing the man and the people around him that worked and did business with him and knowing how NYC was.

People make frivolous lawsuits all the time, I heard stories of people saying the opposite.

But it looks like you forgot that as well.

No, but I don't look at every single issue that went wrong as an all out blanket racist act, I look at the entire picture, liberals for some reason focus on the negative only and nothing else and the left will never want to see anything else.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

but having been to NY multiple times on summer retreats

I actually own a house in The Hamptons. I understand the climate there very well too, often nice in the summer.

horrendous record when it comes to the social well-being of Blacks,

Who cares to the Trump voter when the stock market is diving now and the US debt amount is up. Well being of blacks? How is that relevant now when Trump is making the economy tank for everyone?

1 ( +2 / -1 )

It's the Democrats who are holding hostage 2 million illegal immigrants they pretend to champion.

The Republicans hold the presidency and both houses, and are the ones who make the decisions, and yet you are still blaming the democrats.

Total reality disconnect.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

The Republicans hold the presidency and both houses, and are the ones who make the decisions, and yet you are still blaming the democrats.

Yes and a deal was offered. You see, the problem with Democrats is that they are a bunch of selfish, one-sided whiners. They act like little kids, let's make a two way deal, you uphold your part of the deal and if I disapprove I will renege on my part. Both sides made a deal, the President extended it and made it sweeter for the Democrats by upping the number of these DACA people to 2 million, No conservative likes this deal, I don't, but if that means compromising is the best that both sides can get, then it should be explored, but the Dems said, No! Ok, so the President said, No! The President doesn't get what he wants and now the Dems don't get what they want. Now both sides can stew.

Of course not, because you yourself have said you would refuse to rent to black people based on their being black. A racist isn't going to think another racist is racist.

Not about them being Black, but if the people that destroy my property happen to be black or white, Jewish, Muslim, Christian overwhelmingly then I would kick them out, now if any of these people want to file a lawsuit and claim it was based in racism or intolerance then that is their right to do so, but that doesn't mean I am a racist. People file frivolous lawsuits all the time.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Democrats is that they are a bunch of selfish, one-sided whiners.

Then why aren't the Trump voters whining about Trump's performance with the recent stock market. He is attacking Amazon and he wants that stock to tank. I guess it's time to cash out of American and buy European stocks. Did you know that Europe has more exports to China than the US? Trump is failing the entire America of all its races.

but if the people that destroy my property

I just do a simple credit check when I rent out one of my Manhattan apartments and I just do a simple credit check. I have people working for me and I don't even meet the person who rents my places. Don't you use credit checks?

The stock market is crashing under Trump. And debt continues to climb.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Now might be a good time to fill bass on the details of the case.

Trump had places to rent in NYC, and he would refuse tenancy to black people because they were black. Investigators know this because they sent a black man to the building to ask about a unit, and they said none were available. Later the same day they would send a white person to the same building and asked about the same type of unit, and they would say they had one available. This was also confirmed by doormen who said they were told to do this.

In the event a black person sent in an application, they would mark it with a "C" which meant "colored". That would tell the management to deny residency in that building because colored people weren't allowed. Investigators know this because they saw the applications with the C and Trump staff told them the proces.

The US government sued Trump for discrimination. Trump settled, something he never does because he's a fighter, and agreed to specific changes, including ending his "no blacks allowed" policy.

So is Trump racist? Did he do anything wrong? Would you do the same?

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Now might be a good time to fill bass on the details of the case.

I know the story and made my position perfectly clear.

So is Trump racist?

I don't think or believe so, given the fact his daughter married a Jewish man and converted to Judaism as well as he has Ben Carson the secretary of HUD and that loudmouth Omarosa that lived in the White House as well as countless others that said the opposite about the President. I believe he's as racist as Bernie Sanders is a Capitalist.

Did he do anything wrong? Would you do the same?

I don't and I probably would if as I have stated there are people destroying my property and if people want to call me a racist for political gain or make a frivolous lawsuit, then that's on them, I'm not a racist, I hate racists, but I don't think the President is racist or his actions that led up to that in my opinion justifiable termination of the people that lived there, I have been through and sat on numerous court cases and being from California the home epicenter of suing anyone for anything, I don't know the full details but I know people will often do whatever they can to seek revenge, money etc. We weren't there and a lawsuit file doesn't tell me the entire picture.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

I don't and I probably would if as I have stated there are people destroying my property

Just use credit checks. Then there is no question about race. When I rent out my Manhattan properties credit is credit. I have 13 properties that I rent out in NYC and I do fine just having my staff rely on tenants' credit records.

California the home epicenter of suing anyone for anything

I also rent out properties in California and I have never had such a problem. Of course I consult with my lawyer regularly to avoid legal pitfalls. Don't you have lawyers watching out for your interests? Also, when you hire contractors you need to make sure they are legit and insured in case there is an injury. So I am fine in California with my tenants too.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

if the people that destroy my property happen to be black or white, Jewish, Muslim, Christian overwhelmingly then I would kick them out

Take a deep breath and reread the post you're supposed to be replying to. The question is not, should people destroying property be evicted? The question is, how do you explain to black people that they should support a person who refused to rent property to people because of their colour? Not because they were destroying property, not because of any imaginary lawsuit, but simply and solely because of their colour.

You said in the past that you agreed with Trump and would have done the same in his place.

How do you explain that to your black friends, and still stay friends with them?

0 ( +2 / -2 )

Take a deep breath and reread the post you're supposed to be replying to. The question is not, should people destroying property be evicted? The question is, how do you explain to black people that they should support a person who refused to rent property to people because of their colour?

I already went through this numerous times.

Not because they were destroying property, not because of any imaginary lawsuit, but simply and solely because of their colour.

They just happened to be Black, because in that area, the majority of people that were slinging drugs as well as doing them were Black and that's why the Italians or to be more precise the Columbo family couldn't get out and distribute narcotics throughout the Black community, they needed someone that represents the community, enter Frank Lucas who was one of the most feared mobster of his time in the Black community.

You said in the past that you agreed with Trump and would have done the same in his place.

Yes, that's correct.

How do you explain that to your black friends, and still stay friends with them?

They understand, but then again I hang out with people that aren't driven by emotional debates, but through logical and well thought out rational debates which the left often seems to be devoid of.

-2 ( +2 / -4 )

Yes and a deal was offered. You see, the problem with Democrats is that they are a bunch of selfish, one-sided whiners. what deal was that, Trump took away something that was already there , DACA, when he became POTUS, he then says hell basically reinstate it as long as he gets his vanity wall. thats not a deal that blackmail.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

what deal was that,

To legalize 800k and the Dems refused and to make the deal sweeter bumped it up (to the disbelief of every conservative including myself) to 2 million if you’re a Democrat, what’s not to like?

Trump took away something that was already there ,DACA,

Something that Obama with his executive order had no business of overstepping his Presidential authority and should have allowed congress to come up with a good immigration plan, but he knew DACA would have been DOA were it to come on their desks the way it was.

when he became POTUS, he then says hell basically reinstate it as long as he gets his vanity wall. thats not a deal that blackmail.

We can flip that around, Trump didn't get his wall, so why should he give the Dems what they want? A stupid person would be gullible enough to believe that and take that offer.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

but he knew DACA would have been DOA were it to come on their desks the way it was. same can be said for many of Trumps policies, congress just doesnt see the value in Trumps $50billion wall, its going to take far more concessions from Trump before theyll give him his wall, especially when he continues to threaten to take policies away that were already there, Trump doesnt make deals he just threatens until he gets his way, sadly for him it wont work this time. Trumps wall wont stop the immigrants or drugs flowing over the border, he needs Mexicos help for that, when he continues to threaten Mexico how much help do you think theyre going to give!?

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Most Blacks that I know that are conservative understand at how destructive Democratic policies have been for over the last 50 years and decimated the Black community.

Hang on, you said earlier that the blacks you know are liberals and you talk to them all the time?

So what's the problem?

You rail against left wing violent rhetoric but have no problem with the police carrying out violence and Trump urging them to do so. Hmmm.

Robert DeNiro said, he wanted to punch the President in the face, so basically your saying, if you are the President, you don't have the right to express your feelings or resentment towards personal injustice. For you a brief history insight, Trump wasn't the first President to say something like that.....

No, no, no. Your PotUS has said he wanted to punch someone in the face. Good try but we're not talking about DeNiro.

Has that happened? No, it hasn't. I think it's worse when the President of the US is caught on a hot mic saying to the former President that "once my elections is over I'll have more flexibility to work on the missile defense shield."

It hasn't happened but it's part of the violent rhetoric you claim to despise. He has, however, been caught on a hot mic saying how much he enjoys sexual violence - I guess that's ok too?

Let's get to the heart of the matter. Anything Trump says can be excused or dismissed because

a) the left does it so it's ok for Trump

b) he's a pathological liar

c) he doesn't really care about the children of your country - DACA, students under fire, black youth being gunned down

0 ( +1 / -1 )

but he knew DACA would have been DOA were it to come on their desks the way it was. same can be said for many of Trumps policies, congress just doesnt see the value in Trumps $50billion wall,

Yeah, Democrats don’t and the GOP doesn’t see how NOT having open borders and rewarding people for breaking the law is in the best interest of the nation.

its going to take far more concessions from Trump before theyll give him his wall,

You can just forget that. Trump would never do that.

especially when he continues to threaten to take policies away that were already there, Trump doesnt make deals he just threatens until he gets his way.

Policies that were in place that Obama thought he could just use his pen and phone and override congress.

sadly for him it wont work this time.

Sad for the Dems as well, it won’t work this time as well.

Trumps wall wont stop the immigrants or drugs flowing over the border, he needs Mexicos help for that, when he continues to threaten Mexico how much help do you think theyre going to give!?

It’ll slow them down demonstrably and make it that much easier for the border patrol to catch these people.

Bass: I already went through this numerous times.

Agreed. Trump was sued and you would have been sued for doing the same thing. The entire reason why we have such laws is to prevent people like you and Trump from doing exactly what you say you would do.

And yes, I get your overall point. You can engage in discrimination against blacks but not be racist if you just don’t feel like being called racist.

Finally, if you and Trump and other conservatives denied housing to blacks, doesn’t that limit their options? Maybe they are forced to go to a worse area because of it? Your selling point for the GOP is economic prosperity while simultaneously trying to stifle it.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Trump didn't get his wall

And he never will. And remember when he said Mexico would pay. He conned his followers like a real cult leader. You can beat the 50B dollar wall with a $50 ladder from home depot anyway. It's a scam. And what's this about Trump not getting his wall. It sounds like a bitter child not getting the toy he wants. It's Trump's failure 100%.

so why should he give the Dems what they want?

The Dems are not in control now. It's Trump and the Republicans. It's Trump and the Republicans' failure for the wall.

Now checking rope and ladder specials at Home Depot for the wall.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Agreed. Trump was sued and you would have been sued for doing the same thing.

I would have no idea if that would happen or not, depends on the court, the judge, the jury etc.

The entire reason why we have such laws is to prevent people like you and Trump from doing exactly what you say you would do.

Depending on your point of view, the race grievance industry is stacked with people that profit from racial grievance issues and milk it for as much money as they can. Sadly, liberals always seem to overlook that other perspective of the coin.

And yes, I get your overall point. You can engage in discrimination against blacks but not be racist if you just don’t feel like being called racist.

Well, you didn’t get my point, it matters not, the left will conjure up and think whatever makes them feel good.

Finally, if you and Trump and other conservatives denied housing to blacks, doesn’t that limit their options?

Color is not the issue, if a bunch of Irishmen and or Samoans would do the exact same thing, I would treat them in accordance to what my rules, standards and guidelines.

Maybe they are forced to go to a worse area because of it? Your selling point for the GOP is economic prosperity while simultaneously trying to stifle it.

Blame Democrats for putting them in that economical servitude position in the first place.

"Yeah, and that DACA deal is off ... uh, whatever DACA is."

well at least Obama didnt do it to pee off Americas friends and allies.

2 ( +2 / -0 )

if a bunch of Irishmen and or Samoans would do the exact same thing, I would treat them in accordance to what my rules, standards and guidelines.

Do what 'exact same thing'? Apply to rent a property you owned? What's the point of owning rental property if you have no intention of renting it out to anyone with the temerity to apply to rent?

Blame Democrats for putting them in that economical servitude position

No, if you're the one refusing to rent to people on account of their skin colour then you are the one putting them in the position of having to look elsewhere for a place to live. And for no reason except - racism.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

It’ll slow them down demonstrably and make it that much easier for the border patrol to catch these people. its not the illegal immigrants America should be worried about its the drugs, a wall will mean the drug lords will just send it by submarine or fly it over by drones at night . far more people die from illegal drug overdoses than being murdered by illegal immigrants. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJYLx9cRfCI

So the United States has to solve the social/economic problems of Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico? They are already in Mexico; why doesn't the Mexican government take them in? (answer is that Mexico is not much of a step up.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

answer is that...

...the US has done a lot of damage to the south in the past. Check history like the CIA and the United Fruit Company. The US treats people south of the border like the enemy, always has. Trump wants to continue this so now this is happening under Trump's watch. It's all on him and he is failing like his wall.

I would treat them in accordance to what my rules, standards and guidelines.

How many rental properties do you have? Let's compare notes.

The fat one himself scuttled the DACA deal last September at the behest of Kelly and Miller, after saying he'd sign anythng congress put forward 24 hours earlier. It may be the only thing he's done in the last 15 months that he hasn't walked back, or been forced to walk back.
