There is currently no federal mandate to enforce masks in planes.

Biden will rectify that.

It makes sense if you read the article.

Republican President Donald Trump opposed legally requiring airline, train and public transit passengers and workers to wear masks amid the pandemic, and the White House rejected efforts by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to require face coverings.

One of the reasons why the carnage is so high.

Years from now, historians will still be asking why & what could he possibly gain from such opposition. By politicizing mask wearing, he'd pick up more followers, sure, but what the hell was his reasoning? We know he did not like advice that went against his way of doing things but... why? Despite him boasting that he should have been a doctor, he had no medical background or training.

Bizarre.
