I love that after two years of Trump trying to shut down the investigation into his activities, right when he probably expects it to end, the Democrats open a whole new investigation into him.
Was there ever a president so inept that they ended up in this situation?
CrazyJoe
So he knows the players in the Russian mob? Good. That will put him ahead of the game.
Go get them, Mr. Goldman. Godspeed.
Congress needs to pass legislation that makes candidates must show 10 years of their tax returns. American voters deserve transparency.
Jimizo
Seems to make sense to those who believe in transparency but not to partisans who will accept shady candidates.
CrazyJoe
"The U.S. House of Representatives Intelligence Committee said on Tuesday it had hired a former federal prosecutor in Manhattan with experience investigating Russian mobsters and white-collar crime to lead its probe into the Trump administration."
Dems hire qualified people with relevant experience. Republicans, take note of what competence looks like, if you can crane your necks up high enough from the depths of your kakistocracy.

This should be fun. :)

Democrats in 2017: "We just want to find the truth if there was collusion with Russia"
Democrats now: "We just want to find dirt on Trump so that we can have a fighting chance in 2020"
You're supposed to investigate a crime, not look for a crime.

Congress needs to pass term limits. Oh, and actually do some real work for the American people.

Well done - as Congress under the Dems regains some of it's integrity and respectability lost during the Repub/Ryan/Nunes carnival...
Exercise your oversight function and show the Amercian people what a colossus crime mob we have infesting the White House...

No, actually Congress has lost all integrity and respectability with this lunatic witch hunt.
Trump 2020. Screw the establishment.

Another example of the desperation within Trump World - they see the big locomotive bearing down, but they can't do anything about it...

Now dubious biz practices is a crime too? And unproven collusion? Hush money? Also not a crime. No one told their lawyers to lie either and 20 of these 30 people are imaginary internet people. But keep trying.

It took a prosecution of tax evasion to nail Capone. This should be easier.
Capone committed crimes. You're supposed to investigate a crime, not look for a crime.

And there you have it. One can post countless links/examples with evidence to back up the wrongdoing but it's routinely dismissed.
That's a new approach, though. Crime is not crime and all those arrests didn't happen.

What do you think a probe or an investigation is?

What do you think a probe or an investigation is?
It's checking into a crime based on some kind of credible evidence. Not baseless accusations.
Show me the man and I'll show you the crime, lol.
Toasted Heretic
Yes. Investigation means: the action of investigating something or someone; formal or systematic examination or research.
Is this another example of gaslighting or do you know, based on the evidence so far, that the accusations are baseless?
Just because Donald J Trump - a proven liar - says that everyone else is a liar, doesn't mean he isn't one.

What I don't get is that Trump is refusing to hand over his son-in-law's security clearance documents. If he has nothing to hide, then why the refusal? Obviously it means that Kushner has had some dealings with foreign powers like Russia, that they don't want noticed. Trump is the only president I know actually ORDERING his own former chief of staff to grant a member of his own family a security clearance, as if it were like candy. No one, and I repeat no one, should be handed security clearance so easily. It affects the security of all Americans and can be deemed unpatriotic by doing so.

Not that I think you'll read it but this outlines all the areas of investigation Congress will be looking into - and there is big-time smoke for each one of these - actually he is already the subject in a conspiracy felony charge for directing Cohen to pay off Stormy and McDougall - and the checks sent to Cohen have Donnie's signature, and that of Don Jr and Weissellberg - with some from Trump's personal account and others from the Trump Foundation - oh my....
