All. Any private business has the right to not service whoever they want for whatever reason they want. How come when Twitter bans Alex Jones everybody goes like "It's a private company they can do what they want" but when this happens suddenly that flies out the window?

It's a false equivalency. Alex Jones was banned for violating terms and conditions of usage. He was welcome to use the services, but his behavior led to him not being welcome anymore.

Being born lesbian is not a behavior. It's a state of existence.

And how many bakeries should be given this "right of refusal"? The first, the second, all?

Ordering a cake isn't the issue.

Ordering a wedding cake is. Many people, religious or not, think that is a sacrament provided by God only for a man and a woman. There are 7 holy sacraments. They are very serious for some people.

Eventually, the religious people will become a minority and see how refusing service is a bad idea. But the last person I want to accept food from is someone who doesn't like me. There's a reason you are polite to everyone preparing your food. Suing them out of business isn't helping.

I've said this once and i'll say it a million times. Just. Go. To. Another. Damn. Bakery. This. Shouldn't. Put. The. Owners. Out. Of. Business. You. Entitled. A-holes

Baking the cake is not theological conundrum. Aaron Klein is running a business just bake the customer a flipping cake.

Aaron Klein quoted a Bible passage: "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female, it is an abomination."

These are the nutballs we are placating.

Freedom of speech and freedom of religion are extremely high laws in the USA. I don't see that changing.

While the govt can't treat people differently for having different views - or the govt shouldn't - private individuals can. That is part of living in a free society. Not everyone likes everyone else.

I don't have any issues with gay men or women. I'm equally offended by "straight" people discussing their sexuality as I am when gay or all the other alphabet people do. Not interested.

Regardless, the bakery is out of business, because the locals didn't appreciate their speech. Is that fair? They weren't the only bakery.

This special privileging of religion simply has to end.
